I would have given them 0 stars if I could. I contact AHS about my hot water heater and they sent out Plumber's, (It was leaking and it needed to be replaced?. I bought my house 4 years ago brand new, I am the only owner of this house. The water heater is cover and cost nothing to get a new. The technician arrived in the time frame that they told me. I told him what was going on and he called the Manufacture and they agreed that it was covered and all that needed to be done was to remove and return to the place where it was bought which is about 10 minutes from my house turn in the old one and pick up the new one. At this point he tells me that gas line needs to be changed and water lines need to be changed because they are not up to code. Again my house is on 4 years old. He told me that it was going to cost $450.00 to do the modifications and that he could not install with the modifications being done. I basically told him to go F%$# himself and I am not paying for something that does not need to be done. After he left I called the representative from my home builder and told him what the guy told me so he came over to look at it and had his company plumber come and look at it. I also called a different plumber come and look at it and from 2 different plumbers they told me that everything is up to code. So I am out my $125.00 for the service call from AHS.
I have another company who is removing the old one and installed a new one tomorrow.
BEWARE DO NOT LET ""AHS"" SEND OUT PLUMBERS, INC TO YOUR HOUSE.

Name changed to Plumbers Inc. For good reason. If I was this bad I would seek anonymity. Toilet angle stop leaking but not a big deal as it didn't leak when the valve was shut off. Plumber #1 didn't have the right tool( a ferrule puller). Said he broke his. Promised to come back the next day but the office calls and said the general manager would not allow him to come back until the following week. Seven days later, Plumber #2 works on the fitting for 30 minutes and says sorry you need your wall opened up and American Home Shield has not authorized that. Turns the water back on and leaves. Problem is he damaged the fitting so that it was leaking when the valve is shut off. What kind of plumber turns your water back on and doesn't check for leaking. I didn't think to check it when he was finished so I didn't notice it leaking until a few hours later. Now the water to the whole house has to be shut off. It's now Friday night and they don't answer their phone after hours. American Home Shield authorized expedited service on the weekend and sends out a plumber from another company. He fixed the problem in 30 minutes without opening up the wall.

I am conflicted. I have an American Home Shield Warranty so this is the company they provided to install my hot water heater. My issue was serious so my call was expedited. They definitely processed my claim in an expeditious manner. Tyler was very friendly, understanding and helpful (hence the 2 stars). However, I feel that I was FORCED to spend $470 for ""Modifications"" . According to AHS and Plumbers, Inc, I was NOT required to install the ""Modifications"". So, when I talked to Tyler just before he started the installation to tell him that I ""DID NOT"" want the modifications and just install the hot water heater using the connectors provided by AHS, I was shocked when he told me he couldn't do anything unless I did the modifications. So here I am out of town with water running down the street and potential drywall damage. Damn....Go ahead and install. How can AHS and Plumbers, Inc. tell me one thing and then the installer tell me something totally contradictory. In the meantime, I'm out $470 for so called ""Modifications"". Perhaps they aren't making a lot of money contracting with AHS so they Up-Sale items to make up the difference. I don't know, but I pray that I don't have to use this company again, especially after reading some of the other reviews.
BEWARE - this company is not honest!

American Home Shield sent to Rite away or Plumbers inc
out for leaking value in shower. Miguel came out and had
a attitude toward the renters. Within 2 minutes he was on
phone with AHS and said it is not under warranty. The renter
called me and I then called Rite away office. They disconnected
first call and later after calling again, speaking to them about
the no service and a courtesy call back, they hung up on me.
I waited 48 hrs and no one from either company returned my call.
I finally call AHS, they said its not covered and to read contract.
They also charged me$100, they also said someone would call
back in a week or two. I made huge mistake with both of these
company's, I have several rents in the area, I live far away, so
i do not need poor service, as well as customer service poor.
My renters went 48 hrs without water, I paid $300 to outside
plumber to repair value. What ordeal. NEVER use either company

This business his posing as Plumbers Inc. through American Home Shield. The plumber (Tyler) came to our house and discussed with me the toilet. The tank had a crack in it which was leaking water. He took photos and said he would call AHS. What he didn't tell me is he was going to tell AHS that he thought that I hit my toilet which caused the crack. There is no chipping or point of impact on the tank but they must get some sort of kick back on not allowing claims to AHS.
This company is the most dishonest unethical company I've ever seen, second only to AHS. So now I'm out of my deductible, and still have an inoperable toilet.

AHS my home warranty company sent a plumber to my home for toilet issues and leaking sink and showers. They sent Plumbers INC, Riverside CA who seems to be the same as RITE-A-Way-Services. Same phone number as on Rite-A-Way Services website. The plumber informed me he had parts in his truck to fix the toilet. Prior to leaving my home he informed me would order cartridges for the showers and call with a new appointment when parts arrived, leading me to believe the toilet and sink leaks were fixed. After the plumber left I checked on the repairs and nothing was done. He never informed me the toilet and sink was not repaired. What kind of company does this!! I informed the company I didn't want the same plumber coming back out because he didn't inform me that he didn't repair the toilet and sink. I didn't hear from Plumbers INC., after waiting for 2 weeks I notified AHS. AHS informed me that the plumber informed AHS there were no issues found so no repairs necessary. I informed AHS there were problems and that the plumber told me he would order cartridges for the shower. They didn't believe me. So they send another company to do a second opinion and are now trying to charge me another $75.00 fee. This plumber lied to the warranty company. How dare you! Your company is bad news!! I see why you have all the bad reviews. Rite-A-Way Services or Plumbers INC. whatever you call yourself you deserve ""0"" stars. I will never recommend your company to anyone!! If AHS values their customers they would remove you from their list too.

Allen the Tech and their dispatch team were very knowledgable and Allen the Tech appears to have done a great job. I have two somewhat concerning comments. The first is an American Shields issue that I will communicate to them regarding their process which cause me to go a week without any hot water. The second issue this the Add On Fees. Allen did reduce my original quote by $100 since he did not have to change some of the items contained in the original quoted. This resulted in my final bill being reduced from $575 to $475. I just do not know what makes up the $100 deduction. I think the things did not change when added up would be more than $100. But I was/am very pleased with Plumbers Inc and the service by Allen. ""

Update to my review of Rite-A-Way. The disposal that they installed lasted four months and now has to be replaced again. I awoke to much water under my sink as the disposal had not been attached properly and was leaking from the top. The incorrect installation caused such vibrating that other pipes around it came loose and the seals are now ineffective. Almost all of the plumbing under the sink has to be redone, and it is less than two years old. Do not let anyone from Rite-A-Way into your home, it will just cause you more headaches.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I would give them 0 stars if i could. AHS home warranty dispatched this company for a pipe leak. It took a week to get an appt, then they ended up being a no show after telling me they were coming in 30 min EVERY time i called to find out where the plumber is. 2 days later they send another technician, diagnosed my leak and said he will be back to fix it. Never hear back. I called a few days later and they said they fired the technician. I said well weren't you guys going to tell me or send someone else out?? Then they send someone else 4 days later. Of course the process starts all over again with his diagnosis and says he has to order the part. I get a call from ahs saying there will be a $275 fee since the modification isn't covered. The company tried to lie to me saying the manifold is no longer being sold so they need to modify the pipes. Complete lie since i found the exact manifold they needed.
Overall, this company is unprofessional and u ethical. I asked to speak to a manager and they are never there and never call me back. I am reporting them to the better business bureau for their terrible business practices. I also used them before they changed their name to plumbers inc but now i see why they had to because of their bad reputation.

I would give the techs that came out today five stars. However, the first tech ruined that!! The company is under new management and boy does it ever show!!!! Christopher and Casey are great and they really do know what they are doing!! At this point I would say that I will be using their services again. Give them a try under their new management.
