Recommended Customer Reviews

I wish I had one nice thing to say about this company. I was not planning to leave a review but I would hate for someone to fall for their false promises and end up purchasing an extremely expensive system that doesn't even work. I should have looked into the reviews before getting into business with this company, because it looks as though this is a common occurrence.
Two months ago, I called Right Now as I was paying an alarming amount per month on my bills this winter due to an electric furnace, and Right Now was offering some ""promotion"". I went through a high pressure sales process which after the Max my ""comfort specialist"" left, I immediately felt I should not signed any paperwork. Max told me they don't work on commission so i trusted him, only to find out later that they DO work on commission and are extremely slimy. Max also cursed in front of us a few times and then felt it appropriate to say, ""we usually discount $100 if we curse but just don't tell anyone."" Which I thought was strange because I would like that discount. After the ensuing mess I would like a full refund and my old furnace back!
I was promised my power bill would drop to $50 this summer and a max of $100 this winter and I have yet to see my bill dip below $150. Maybe it's because after 5+ visits the furnace STILL ISN'T WORKING.
The first install took 12 hours on a Sunday, and the installer didn't know how to work a Nest thermostat.. I installed it by myself the first go around and let me tell you, it's not hard. They had to come back the next day to finish the installation and cover the cords they left exposed. The installer also said he added an extension cord for the furnace so he wouldn't have to unplug anything in the room and yet he unplugged a television which caused my roommate to unplug the furnace and we were out heating for a few days because no one new what was going on. There were other ridiculous issues that could have been avoided with communication amongst their team, such as various people coming out when i called explaining my thermostat was not working properly with the system and twice the rep said, ""I didn't realize you had a nest thermostat, I was just told a thermostat, and I don't know how to work with a nest"" which FLOORED me. When I asked him why he didn't already know that, he stated, ""communication is really hard."" Cool.
Another rep came out again when the system wasn't working and when he couldn't find my house I looked out my window to see him sitting in his truck smoking, not a cigarette. He came in clearly high as a damn kite and started to work on the system. He did nothing. Explained he couldn't figure out the thermostat and then had the nerve to ask me to leave him a good review for his high ass. No.
Another few weeks went by and my thermostat was receiving zero power and it started to heat up outside. I was at one point sitting at 89 degrees in my house. I called to get someone out and they could not accommodate my schedule in any way so I had to have my father be the point of contact so he could be there when they arrived in the window of time they gave me. They were AN HOUR LATER than the window of time and rather than calling my father, they called me twice mispronouncing my name both times after correction. My name is Carlie, not Charlie. So they're illiterate.
That tech tried to fix it, the system worked for one night then stopped working again. The next week someone came out again and explained the entire system had been wired wrong and the AC had never worked. There were also live breaker wires left exposed and water was collecting in the system.
There are more things I could say regarding this company, but this seems like enough. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR PROMISES AND DO NOT GET INTO BUSINESS WITH RIGHT NOW HEATING AND AIR.

This company just tried to scam me out of 1900 dollars on a warranty part! They refuse to ship the part to me, in violation of their warranty, unless I pay the labor charge. The repair takes approximately 20 minutes to complete!

I have never seen a more disorganized and unprofessional company. They called me (dont know where they got number) to offer a $39 HVAC inspection and a ""Gift card to Applebees"" if we did the diagnostic.
(Of course no one would be interested in an applebees gift card, or having the teenagers who work there warm up the TV dinners they serve) but I have teenage sons who sincerely believe that applebees serves human food, so I figured they would use the gift card and it just so happened we were in the middle of selling a house in Nampa that could use an inspection for the HVAC. So we agree to do the service.
Within an hour a different person called back to say they needed our credit card first, before they could go out. Fine, we gave that person the card. The next day we received another call and a voicemail from a 3rd person who said they were at the house but could not get in. (We gave the lockbox code to the 1st person who called, and other vendors have had no problem getting in and out)
Then an hour later a 4th call and a voicemail from yet a different person who said they were not able to do the service with no way to access the house. At this point I am annoyed by everything and will not be returning the call. We can skip the service. However the phone continues ringing about once an hour. 5th call. 6th call. 7th call. Finally on the 8th call or so I answer. I inform the caller (not one of the 2 or 3 people I have spoken to before) that I provided the correct lockbox info on the 1st call. She apologized, took the lockbox code again. 15 minutes pass. Call number 9. ""Hi we deleted your card info when we could not get in the house so we need to take it again before we can go back out."" I give the card info again. 24 hours pass. No word from them. In the meantime I send out the HVAC company I would normally use. They inspect the unit and email me a report within 3-4 hours of the call. The report showed they cleaned the unit and it was in good working condition.
The next day (day 4) I receive a call from the office asking if we received the report from the inspection. I said no, no one has done an inspection. They apologized and said they would get back to me.
The next day (day 5)I get a call from the service rep (not the one who tried to go out the first time, another one) who says he is in the house (Bravo!!). He sounds like a teenager, stuttering and really not familiar with the job or his company's process. He says he checked out the unit and it needs a lot of work. I am very familiar with these units so I ask what kind of work. He cant provide details but says he will have the boss ""do up a full report for us.""
This is the last I ever hear from anyone at Right Now Heating and Air.
A few days later an unmarked envelope containing a $10 applebees gift card arrives in the mail.
A few days after that we receive a cancellation notice from the buyer who had been in escrow buying the house. They had decided the house needed ""too much work"" even though they had completed inspections and decided to move forward. In fact they forfeited their $1000 deposit to us because the inspection period had ended.
I went by the house to check on it and sitting on the counter is a yellow sheet from Right Now Heating and Air (a sheet I never heard a word about and never knew existed) stating the HVAC is at the end of its life and needs to be completely replaced.

I had a great experience with this company. All the men that came to our home were very courteous and professional. The ladies in the office were very pleasant to talk with. Carley even called to make sure everything was taken care of to our satisfaction. I would give them a 10 star if I could.

If I could give a zero rating , I would have. I made an appointment for them to come out and do a water heater drain and a furnace tune-up because they were advertising a $49.00 special and confirmed the appointment for the 22nd. of this month of February and was given a two-hour window between 1:00 pm. and 3:00 pm. I waited at home and when it was after the time scheduled, I called them to find out if they were close to coming. I was told that they were not coming because they supposedly did this recently and it was too soon. This was an out and out lie so I called them on it. He put me on hold for about 5 minutes and came back and told me that they could come out next week. They never called me to tell me that they were not coming today and if I hadn't of followed through on my own I would still be waiting for someone that wouldn't be here. They wasted my time so I told them that I won't be doing business with them in the future. The only thing that was special was how stunningly out of touch and wrong they're customer service is. Right now heating is a joke. BUYER,BEWARE!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO INSTALL A GAS LOG SET. THEY HAVE LITTLE EXPERIENCE AND NO EXPERTISE WITH IT. After multiple failures in the 2 1/2 weeks that we have had the gas log set, they have agreed to remove it and the gas line they installed and refund my money 100%. This is due to a gas leak in my home because the nut on the connecting gas line wasn't tightened correctly, the gas line valves being installed incorrectly such that they couldn't be shut off all the way, and them not providing all of the required parts of the gas lot set at install. It took me troubleshooting multiple failures before they provided the connector pipe to connect the set to the gas line, the battery pack required for it to turn on, and the remote control they promised - resulting in the set not working until 10 days after the originally promised date. They refunded $500 off the original price, before I discovered the faulty gas line valves and the gas leak. Now I am done. I don't feel safe with the log set in my home. They are taking it all out next week.
To their credit, the people on the phone and most of the technicians have been kind and professional. However, they don't have a clue what they are doing when it comes to gas log sets, which is completely unsafe and unacceptable.

This heating & cooling service is a big rip off. Buyer beware! I had no heat & they sent a service man out who was very polite, but told me that the motor was bad & he did not think Heil parts were available any longer. He said a specialist (salesman) would be right over & advise me on what to do. He did show up promptly & told me it would cost & 1100.00 to have the motor shipped overnight + labor & installation. However, he said my furnace was too old & I needed to purchase a new energy efficient furnace & it would pay for itself in 2 years of utility bills. The price - $16000! I called a company out of Boise. They sent me the motor overnight. The cost - $260! They also told me Heil parts are available, no problem. It was installed & total cost was $350. They also told me that a new furnace would not pay for itself in 2 years - it would take 20 years to pay for itself. Also, they would install a new furnace if I desired for $6000! So, that was my experience with Right Now Heating & Cooling. I think since I have a nice house with lots of property, and I was desperate for heat, they thought I would fall for their proposal immediately. I will never use this company again & suggest others get 2nd opinions before purchasing through them. When their pink panther truck shows up, hide your green!

Every company likes to bad mouth other companies to try and get the sale, which I just think is very unprofessional. Not this company! They let their work speak for themselves and out of every company I've dealt with, they are the most professional by far!

These guys are only out to rip you off or try to sell you a new unit. They are overpriced with lousy techs. I would call anyone else first.

Bad experience. The owner of the home that we purchased said that he had them come and inspect the furnace and was told the that there was a 6 month warranty. The heater stopped working and I called them and was told it would cost $69 for a service call. After I insisted that I did not want to pay, they said they would waive it since we were 1st time customers. When the technician started working on the furnace, the screws were stripped and he had a difficult time opening the unit. I asked him why the prior technician did not open the furnace and inspect it. He said that it was a ""real estate"" inspection. It makes me wonder what he inspected. They had to put a $200 part that we had to pay for and said there was no warranty from the previous inspection and that they could not guaranty the work. I feel like the previous owner and ourselves were deceived by this company.
