Let me start with a little history regarding Right Now H&A and myself. In the last 10 years or so, I have had them install two complete heating and air conditioners plus water heater systems in two of my homes costing between 12 and 15 thousand dollars. I chose them because all the propaganda I could avail myself of, indicated that their business model emphasized the importance of customer service being their primary concern. Most of the service I received was good with exception of one obnoxious young technician who I had to report to the manager. I have used no one else to service my systems since. Now we come to March 3rd of 2023. My furnace quit working and so I naturally called Right Now H&A. They couldn't get to me that day but made an a appointment for the following day. The technician arrived later than promised and said they had been very busy that day. He took the side cover off the furnace, moved a few wires around, spun the shaft on the inducer motor and said that the problem was the this part (pointing to the inducer motor) was the problem and also pointed to a few faint brown streak stains coming from the collector box. Being very trusting, I agreed to have the furnace repaired. Fortunately he had the parts on his truck. After the work was done, he wrote a service order which I signed. The price included $119.00 for service call and diagnostics, $181.00 for the collector box and $1203.00 for the inducer motor. After the tech left I studied the bill and I felt uncomfortable with what I had been charged. I went onto the internet and Googled these parts for my furnace. To my surprise, I discovered that I had been severely overcharged. The collector box cover was $36.77 and the inducer motor was $169.04. Now if you add a reasonable cost of shipping and handling of say $50.00 and a reasonable markup on the parts of 100% (reasonable?) you come up with $500.00. If you add the service and diagnostics call you come up with $620.00. I made an appointment to talk to the manager and she was very defensive and told me the amount I signed for included labor and that they had a lot of costs of business including equipment etc. To make an even longer story short I refused to pay that amount ($1503.00) and threatened them with my attorney. I left their office very frustrated and angry. I received a couple of calls from a woman about my bill and she finally offered me a discount of $100.00, which I thought was insulting. I countered with an offer to settle for $1000.00. Fast forward to today 4/6/23. I received a call from their manager accusing me of being rude to her employees and after a somewhat heated verbal exchange threatened to send the bill to collections and put a lien on my home. If you value your wallet and peace of mind, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH RIGHT NOW HEATING AND AIR. My name is Loren Spencer and my # is 208-800-7517 if you would like any clarifications.

HOMEOWNER BEWARE

RIGHT NOW PLUMBING AND HEATING installed my tankless water heater and what a NIGHTMARE it became. I'm going to list all the issues I had with this installation and why you should use CAUTION, if you proceed using them.

1. There were three employees sent to do the job the first day - the supervisor, who was always getting parts, and two employees that were in training with only one-year experience, per their own words. Website says all employees have three years' experience.

2. There were three gas leaks, to which, two of them they came back to repair. Upon discovering the third leak, I decided to hire another company, for safety concerns, to redo the entire system. The gas line had also been installed without a mandatory sediment trap, which the inspector caught.

3. The employees went to the outside of my house siding to cut two holes to run the condensate drain and TP valve. Thank goodness, the inspector had returned to check one of the gas leak repairs and saw what they were doing and put a stop to it. He advised them it was not allowed by code.

4. I was replacing a gas water heater with an electric tankless water heater. I inquired when the electrical people would be coming to put in the outlet for the tankless water heater, they said we don't have that scheduled, nor was it on the bid. They said it would be an additional $750, to which, they would split the cost. It was their error and they should have paid the difference in full, but I was so frustrated from all the issues I decided not to fight it.

5. They didn't do the proper clearances for the unit, which was a minimum of 2 inches each side. The left side had virtually zero clearance.

6. They put black gas pipe on the water line and water pipe on the gas line. Again, not legal. Right Now did send an employee back to fix this. My question is why wasn't the company doing it right the first time, without the inspector catching the violations and having them come back.

7. No shut-off valve on the expansion tank.

8. Intake/exhaust pipes weren't secured down in the ceiling for the sheetrock to attach to, which made it nearly impossible to close off the ceiling to prevent a fire from going into the attic (inspection requirement). The inspector said installers usually put a metal mesh for the sheetrock to be attached to.

9. Rinnai had told me to be sure to have the unit programmed to our higher altitude in our area when they installed it. Right Now told me the unit wasn't programmable, to which, I told them Rinnai told me they could. I ended up calling Rinnai and they instructed me how to do it. Through the instruction, Rinnai said I should have called a professional installer to program it and I told them I thought I had. FYI - Rinnai also allows programming for higher water velocity, higher heat, and programming for the thermal valve in my sink (this program was also needed for my unit to work properly, to which, they didn't do either).

10. The hot-water pipe was the proper color of red (signifying hot) upstairs, but was blue (signifying cold) down in the crawlspace. The cold-water pipe was blue upstairs and red downstairs. This means if you're downstairs doing any kind of repair you had to remember blue meant hot and red meant cold.

11. As they were finishing, I asked when they were putting the strike plates in front of the pipes. They said they weren't. I advised them it was needed to protect the pipes from drywall screws and it would be a code violation.

12. They mounted the unit so low I had to bend down to see the panel. I asked them to raise it and they said it was at code height. It was NOT! I don't like being given false information.

I tried calling the owner twice, Jeff Cox, to advise him as to my discontent and left messages, to which, there was no response. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised to his non-response with how the company had performed at this point.

BOTTOM LINE: I ended up contracting with ANOTHER COMPANY and having RIGHT NOW'S INSTALLATION TOTALLY REMOVED and reinstalled by the new company. I had no problems with the new company and the inspection passed the first time.

My furnace stopped working this morning, and I had a service man here within a couple of hours. He replaced a sensor and was very fast and efficient. His name was Ali, and I would definitely give Ali, as well as Right Now, a 5-star rating.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - Absolutely Terrible company to do business with. I don't think I've ever written a review in my life and I'm going out of my way to spread the word on this scam of a company. I spoke with someone on the phone to just have my fridge water line connected to an already installed water line, just needed a compression fitting to screw it on. Simple work, but wanted to have a warranty as it's a new home. They said on the phone it'd be $79 + material if there are any parts. Fair enough, had them come out and then the tech onsite told me that $79 was only their trip charge and it'd be almost $400 DOLLARS TOTAL!! Water line was already installed, they literally just had to screw on a fitting. I told them absolutely not and sent the technician away. Now they won't remove the trip charge and threatened to send me to collections over the $79. I've spoken with them multiple times explaining the misunderstanding and my assumption it'd be the $79 + material and they have refused to remove the charge. ABSOLUTE SCAM.

DO. NOT. HIRE. THIS. COMPANY! I wish I could give them 0 stars. They installed a brand new furnace in our attic last year and they have had to come service the darn thing about TEN TIMES NOW BECAUSE IT STOPS WORKING!!!! This weekend it stopped working AGAIN! Their customer service is also terrible. After all of the crap we have gone through since this new furnace was installed, they don't do anything to try and rectify the situation except slowly make their way out, try to blame the problems on our attic, or the technician that came out before them, or not tell us they are even arriving at the house until 20 minutes beforehand!!!! We are taking them to small claims court now. We are so done with this company and will now be telling everybody to STAY WAY FROM RIGHT NOW HEATING AND AIR!!

They purposefully overbook their technicians causing them to cancel a ton of appointments. They even do this during extreme weather temperatures. They scheduled an appointment with us to fix our broken furnace when it was -15 degrees outside. They called and canceled right before our appointment forcing us to leave our home unheated longer than it needed to be. They didn't tell us that that was something that might happen so we didn't make other arrangements. That kind of behavior should be criminal. They do not deserve anyone's business.

I highly recommend right now heating and air conditioning for any HVAC, a/c, or plumbing issues you may have. They installed a new A/C, HVAC, water heater, and a water softener over the years at our old house and they always had reasonable pricing and installed everything very professionally. We just moved into a new house built in the 1930s. The HVAC system was only installed five years ago, however we wanted a tuneup after we moved in just to check for any possible problems. Our technician, Terry Brown, discovered a gas leak, a wire on the motherboard was disconnected, and some PVC was leaking water and causing a good deal of rust. Even though he was only out here for a tuneup, he spent five hours going over every inch of our system and fixing every possible problem he could find, no matter how big or small the problem was. This company knows their stuff and I recommend them to everyone. Now they have partnered with electricians and contractors so we will be using them to renovate a large storage closet into a new bathroom.

they were to conduct an inspection following a failed initial and instead they did a tune up and days later, after I move in, the water heater fails as was noted on initial inspection. no one is taking accountability. The worst customer service I've ever experienced. I would never recommend this company. There's a reason their reputation in the valley is what it is.
