This company is wonderful! They answer the phone and come out when they say they will. All employees are friendly and do their job well. Everything was fixed very fast and they help deal with your insurance company. I wont use anyone else.

They came out and give me a free estimate for 2 small gas leaks, both men were polite, quick and professional, price was reasonable! The young lady's who help schedule were helpful.. like any job times can get busy but otherwise they follow up and do their best thank you for your help!!!

The entire staff up to the owner are completely rude. Everyone talked to me like I was inconveniencing them. Will never use again, and will tell all the fellow business owners I know!

My wife called Rick's to come out and check for the reason that we are experiencing a 'sewage' smell from inside our house. After setting an appointment and not making it on time, my wife had to call a couple of times to check on the whereabouts. They finally arrived, the next day, and were polite and courteous and suggested a fairly expensive smoke test to see if there was any blockages or breaks in our piping. My wife agreed and the guys got started but said that they couldn't access the vent pipes on the roof because our roof was too steep. The test was done and they told my wife everything checked out and was fine. But the smell was still present and nothing was done about it. I was curious to how effective the smoke test was if they couldn't/wouldn't access the vent pipes and called Rick's and spoke to Kristen (Rick's wife and office manager) and she said that there were other ways of performing the test but without getting on the roof, they weren't as effective. She was going to check and see what else could be done and call me back. I never heard back from her so I called and left a message. Still never received a call back so I called and left another message. And another the next day. And then another the day after that. Finally Kristen called while I was putting the baby to sleep and I returned her call 10 minutes later and never got ahold of her. I have tried 5 times, unsuccessfully, to give Ricks Plumbing the chance to correct the situation and nothing has come of it. I will never use them again and I will tell anybody that is willing to listen to not give them their business.

I called Rick's plumbing and explained my situation that I had a 24 year old water heater that looked like it was on it's last leg and needed someone to come out and replace it before Christmas because that would be awful if it busted during Christmas. They came out and did an amazing job and installed a nice water heater that should last me a long time. I was able to talk to the owner and wanted installed what he would put in his own house and that's what I got. Poor guys were working in the freezing rain but they knocked it out pretty quick and couldn't be happier with their work. I would highly recommend and looking forward to having them do some additional work in my bathroom very soon. Thank y'all so much!

I had Rick's Plumbing out to my house to rebuild 2 hose bibs. Was told there would be a $65 service call fee, but if they did the repair the fee would be waived. I new what I needed done and asked for an estimate on the cost.
The young lady taking the call said they could not give cost of the job, even
though the website says free estimates. So i ask for someone to give me a call to give me an idea of the cost. No one did after calling and asking for someone to call me twice. I was also told that I would be told the cost before the work was performed. The service guy told me $50 to $60 to rebuild the two hose bibs, ok I said. Then we figured out that the anti-freeze valves were bad. I had one and the service guy had one, was told the part would be $25.
So I'm thinking $85 to a $100 max. Then he presented me with an invoice for
$185 with no breakdown of what cost what. I have used Rick's in the past and was always happy with the service, but not this time. Needless to say in the future I will not be calling Rick's and any time a plumber comes up I will be sure to past along my experience with Rick's Plumbing.

Doing a kitchen remodel we had Rick's Plumbing come out and unhook the sink, garbage disposal, and dishwasher, everything worked before they unhooked it. Seemed okay at the time. Then when they came back to hook up the sink they busted the garbage disposal and we had to buy a new one, they just happened to have. Gave me an estimate to hook up the dishwasher later after the tile installation of $125. When they came back it was two other servicemen. They told my husband upfront it would be $275 to hook up the dishwasher. They spent two hours and added one new hose and charged us $350 for the hookup. They didn't even try it to make sure it worked. When my husband turned it on, water poured out. They had jacked up the door so it was crooked and wouldn't seal shut. After talking with my husband about the original quote of $125, he went to the office to talk to them. They wouldn't refund us anything or take responsibility for the broken dishwasher. They just said "sorry your dishwasher is busted." So now on top of the $350 we wasted on them, we now have to buy a new dishwasher and pay someone else to hook it up. I won't be calling Rick's Plumbing again.

I can't believe I didn't check these reviews before hiring Rick's Plumbing to do the plumbing for our new build, especially since I've always been one to check customer reviews. Thank God we didn't sign any contracts to compete the rest of the plumbing for our home. They came out to do the rough-in and after they finished the first day, I knew immediately upon seeing it that there was a major mistake. They had the island sink drain 6 feet off; basically the drain would have been sitting about 4 feet behind where our seats would have been at the island, in the middle of the room. Me... a female with ZERO knowledge of plumbing, noticed the mistake and not his "very experienced plumber with 15 years of experience"! After the owner being quite pissed that we called him out, he finally sent his "experienced plumber" out that confirmed the mistake. They never did a water test, so if any of the pipes leak under the foundation, we're screwed. We called this morning to see where they were, and he said they were busy with other jobs. Needless to say, my husband raised his voice a bit. Rick said in response, "I knew you were going to be a problem because you're from California". No Rick, we're going to be a problem because we hired you to do a job that you have not only left unfinished, but did an unprofessional job of the work you already started. Everybody we've encountered in Texas so far has been awesome and we haven't run into any discrimination because we're from California until Rick's Plumbing. We never told him we were from California, but apparently he noticed our license plates and judged us on that. Unfortunately, we also paid him before the job was complete and now he is refusing to complete the job. My next phone call and complaint letter will be to the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners.

Had service done by Ricks. I had a coupon for 10% off that I forgot to give to service person. I called the next morning and the clerk said she would have to call me back. Waited 3 days called again. The same clerk said that she has not been able to get in contact with her supervisor ... apologized for not calling back. Waited 2 weeks .... NO CALL! Called and the same clerk said no. Poor follow-up, poor customer relations. Was $70 worth me telling everyone not to use them?
Also very expensive. Read other reviews .... same story!

Screwed a shower surround straight to the wood studs with no sheet rock behind it, very shoddy work. And charged an elderly sick man on oxygen $3000 to do it. I wouldn't recommend these guys to anyone.
