Our shower stopped putting out hot water. Reynolds was able to send someone out within 24 hours. Montana was on time, friendly and professional. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Turns out it was something preventable, so when Montana explained the repair work, he also showed me how to keep this problem from recurring. Excellent service. I highly recommend them.

This company charges $89 to give you an estimate, which they will gladly apply toward any work you have done. We were foolish enough to agree to this, thinking it was standard procedure, and every other plumber would do the same. Little did we know, this is not standard procedure. A Reynolds plumber came and gave us an estimate, which turned out to be much higher than we expected. So we called another plumber and they were willing to quote us a price over the phone, which was about half the Reynolds estimate. So we ended up paying Reynolds $89 for nothing. I consider this deceptive business practices -- they charge you for the estimate, knowing that you will be motivated to work with them because you've already made an investment. Don't go along with this. At least get other estimates before you call Reynold's. It was foolish of us to call them first.

I would never recommend this company to anyone. They're one of the big boys and just come out and bid massive amounts of money for jobs that they don't want to do. I'm extremely disappointed with them and will never call them again.
I don't think Kevin Cohen plumbing would be happy with the job Reynolds electric and plumbing are doing.
They bid me nearly $7000 to reset an existing shower surround. Just to reset it. I got a bid to do the entire bathroom floor, paint bathroom, and master bedroom, and carpet the whole entire master bedroom for $7000. This included resetting the shower surround.
Definitely think twice before calling this company.

Reynolds gave me a bid to install a level 2 ev charger. I was expecting $800-$1500. Their bid was $5k (lowered to 3k because they didn't like a lukewarm google review). Why $5k? Because running the copper cable an 20 ft to the subpanel costs $3500 based on their price modelling software. Sure you use an extra $100-$200 of cable running 6/3 another 30 ft. But $3600?
At least the $89 appraisal gave me a shopping list of materials. $330 of parts and a couple of hours of work is all it took me. Their electricians are knowledgeable and know their craft. But $4700 for an what would have been 1 hour of work for them given they can go way faster than me?
Edit for response.
Home owners are allowed to do your own electrical work in Oregon, and it only requires a minor permit. I plan to have inspected to be extra sure about it. I'll be careful, safe, and follow the necessary codes.

Tyler came out to check a switch to 3 outlets and possible ground issue. he tested the first plug and said the 3rd probably had a faulty ground. he gave me a switch and an outlet and said, ""ex fix, go ahead"".
I replaced the switch, which had no ground connected. now that's good. the outlet was the wrong one, as he never pulled it to check. when i called for advice i was told i would have to pay another service charge.
I am semi happy and would love to have what we paid for. to actually check the items. i probably would have given 5 stars.
Update:
Wade called me back and wanted to talk. I don't agree with his points but i respect that he wants to mitigate any possible misunderstandings. after asking me to change my review to be an honest reflection he also apologized for obvious oversites on their part.
i hope to work with them in the future... its not that you make mistakes (everyone does) its about what you do after. they worked to make it right eventually!

Like another reviewer noted, Reynolds does charge an $89 estimate fee. This is something that I'm all my years of hundreds and hundreds of contractors I've never seen. But, we think, company has a good reputation so maybe they'll be a good company to work with. No complaints about scheduling, two guys show up. They write up the vaguest estimate we've ever gotten-- no itemization, no model information, nothing, to replace a gas water heater for almost $9,000. This is a unit that would probably cost in the $1500 range give or take. So we got charged 89 for an estimate on work they CLEARLY weren't interested in doing in the first place. We would have loved to have known that before we asked them into the house. My husband paid the estimate fee, but honestly given their way out of line estimate it feels like a huge scam. Another reputable local company gave an estimate for half that of Reynolds, same materials-- and the estimate was free. Reynolds lost a customer for good on this one.

Very personable, professional, and reliable. The electrician was able to start work immediately with a very clear plan and estimate. Even the woman who answered the phone to schedule was awesome!

We had Reynolds Electric and Plumbing out to our business last month and they did a number of things for us. They inspected a toilet that wasn't functioning properly, they installed a garbage disposal for us, and they looked at a main drain issue under our building. The guys were fantastic and did a great job. The only reason I am giving them 4 instead of 5 stars, is that they were a little pricey. I would definitely use them again.

I just called for an estimate on installing an electric car charger in my garage. I was informed that to receive AN ESTIMATE, Reynolds Electric would charge me $89! I have never paid for an estimate from any contractor for any job...ever! Providing estimates to potential clients at no cost is PART OF DOING BUSINESS! Reynolds feels a potential customer should PAY THEM for the chance to be hired. AVOID!!

Talon was quick and accurate diagnosing the issue and fixing it. Should have called them sooner.
