We recently had a water heater leak and had a great experience with Rescue Plumbing. They were very responsive and sent a professional at the same day. The plumber confirmed the call 10 mins before he arrived. He analyzed the root cause issue was the valve worn out and suggested to replaced a new brass valve. He fixed it very quick and our water heater is no loner leaking. He is professional and helpful and also explain how to maintain it in he future. We will definitely use them again. Thank you!

My garbage disposal broke. I figured it could likely he repaired but since garbage disposals are cheap, I figured I would just have it replaced. I called a little before 8am and someone was sent to me by 10:30. I asked for a quote before scheduling a plumber to come out and was told they did not offer phone quotes. Understandable.

The only, and biggest, issue was once the plumber arrived he quoted me $895 to replace a garbage disposal.

I have never in my life heard of a garbage disposal replacement costing that much. I immediately said no. He offered to try to clean it out, I asked how much that would be and was told $395. Again, absolutely not.

I really struggled writing this because while everyone was extremely nice, they were extremely timely, their pricing feels extremely predatory and outlandish. Almost offensive.

I ordered a replacement from home depot for $125 post-tax and paid a plumber from Task Rabbit less than $100.

Look past their charm and avoid overpaying for simple services.

UPDATE: Turned out that I didn't even need a replacement. Lol. My ""handyman"" was able to unclog my ""cheap garbage disposal"" in 15 minutes.

But your business choices to provide free quotes has nothing to do with me. I simply do not care if you paid for parking or paid your staff hourly to come do an estimate. $900 is absurd. And $400 to unclog is as well.

Now you are commenting ridiculous things under my review. My downtown condo did not need any new pipes, I never even talked to the man about to cost of the garbage disposal, even with ""quality"" disposal, $900 was absurd, no one ""bent over backwards"".

Removing one star because there seems to be confusion around what I can AFFORD and what is reasonable.

Had flooding in the basement yesterday and called rescue from their yelp reviews. They were at my house within 2 hours. Ended up being a broken ejector pump that they replaced on the spot and kept everything very clean. Great guys, prompt and clearly very experienced. Will definitely use them again and recommend.

I would like to add an update to my issue with Rescue Plumbing. I see they have responded with a method seen with other reviews; blaming me for their internal issues. Even if I was incorrect in my review (I wasnt) or that I had somehow called the wrong plumber (I didnt), the type of response both here on yelp and via phone call would be another major red flag as I look at choosing a plumber. If a plumber has zero interest in accountability over a small issue like this...what happens when project errors occur as they always will? When an issue arises, this plumber's apparent instinct is to blame their customer. Following my initial review, I received numerous texts and calls from the owner. I repeatedly asked him kindly to disengage. Requests that were not respected. There was accusations of not calling this plumber, things about their call logs, and general accusations of how I am at fault here. The gas-lighting he attempted is comical to me, but makes me furious to think if it had been my elderly parent or other loved one experiencing this type of interaction. Based on my interaction I would not feel comfortable with this plumber in my home. I have included photos of my outgoing calls on the day I scheduled service as well as on the day in question when I called to understand why know one showed. These calls match the number displayed on Rescue Plumbing A| Webster's yelp page at the time. I see that has been changed. Curious.

I have had two experiences with Rescue Plumbing, and in both instances, they have done a great job. Vincent was most helpful and efficient. I would not hesitate to call them again when my next plumbing incident happens.

Our laundry tub faucet was dripping and we couldn't seem to stop it. The tub, faucet, and surrounding pipes were really old, and we didn't want to risk a more serious leak. After getting a quote from another plumber that I believed was unreasonable, I wanted to get a second opinion and called Rescue Plumbing. They sent over Fred and Nate, who gave me a free estimate and more thoroughly diagnosed the problem. I went ahead with Rescue Plumbing and they scheduled repairs for a couple of days later. Fred and Nate were professional, courteous, explained everything clearly, and did great work. They replaced the laundry tub, faucet, and surrounding pipes. Everything has been working perfectly for the past 3 weeks (no drips). Also, all of my interactions with the administrative team (the folks answering phones and scheduling appointments) were positive and easy. Would definitely use this company again.
