We had a great experience with the company. The salesman who estimated the job was extremely knowledgeable and told us what to expect. The plumbers were efficient, did a great job and were careful not to damage our wood floor. Very pleased with the service and very happy not to have to worry about leaking pipes ever again. Highly recommend.

Repipe specialists is just a sales dept . Quality plumbing is the one doing the work, they both suck . they do not know what they are doing , san jose inspectors laugh at the piss poor work they do ,they cant pass inspections on even a third try . they love to tell people i will be there tomorrow and never show up , then give a piss poor reason why the did not show up. taking time off to be there ,now they owe me money waisting my time ,this is BS .DO not pay them in full until the job is complete or they just give you the runaround

Do not use this company. They subcontract the job to whatever small local company looking for work and they will not do work to code or fix mistakes after inspection by the city. In this case, we got ""Quality Plumbing."" The name must be ironic.

We've been waiting for over a month for them to come back and fix things deemed ""wrong"" by the city. This has been a nightmare. We keep getting promised that the crew will come out and fix it and they never show. Countless days of work we have had to take off waiting for them with no response.

On top of all this drama, they tried to sell us on the fact that our pipes under the house are broken and there is water flooding the entire area and it needs to be fixed right away. They quoted 3k. Luckily we didn't do it and when the city inspected under the house they found no traces of water. This subcontracted company tried to scam us with doctored photos. This is unacceptable.

All we want is for them to fix the errors. Please. We just want to move on from this horrible experience and avoid paying any more money. If not, we'll see you in court.

Great people who came out and did the job. They repiped my house and put in a new line from the street to the house all in the same day!

I contracted with these people to repipe my Oakland Hills home. They use a subcontractor named Quality Plumbing and Repipe (formerly known as Plumbing Tech and Repipe). Repiping is a very invasive and disruptive project, to begin with and you sure don't need unnecessary additional headaches, but I have had plenty of them and, even though this job was completed the end of January, I am STILL dealing with those headaches! I will assume that the plumbing/repiping work was technically up to snuff since it passed city inspection, but the work was largely done in a storage room where I had moved everything to the center to get it way from what I thought was the main area of work. Although I offered to make further adjustments, if needed, I was told by the subcontractor's team that they could manage any adjustments necessary. Fast forward to end of project, things that had been ""adjusted"" by the workers were just tossed on top of stored goods without regard to maintaining integrity of either the tossed stuff or the stuff under it. Then, to cap it off, they sent somebody to do a pressure test who didn't know how to do it and the result was that ALL my stored goods were subjected to a flood of drain water. I also found my garage door opening mechanism knocked out of alignment (they ask you to move your car out of the garage so they can move their stuff into it), and they also exchanged my step ladder for their step ladder, which is covered with rust debris and solder!

I am editing this review to note that Repipe Specialists have been very supportive of me in my efforts to work with Quality Plumbing to address the service issues. They have agreed to reimburse me for replacing my step ladder and offered to reimburse me for having the garage door sensors adjusted and for having someone come and help clean up the mess in the storage room. The garage sensors were out of alignment and the repair guy walked me through the process of correcting them myself, so there is no cost there - just my time.

Linda and Randy are nice, professional people. I am only sorry that Quality Plumbing and Repipe doesn't measure up to their standards.

You need to be aware that there are at least two entities. Repipe Specialists and the actual plumbing contractor (quality plumbing and Repipe on Gish on San Jose)

Work seems to be of good quality and plumbers are taking care to keep house clean. Unexpected failure of supply pipes due to corrosion was handled professionally.
Kudos to Antonio and Hector of Quality plumbing.

Issues:
No prior mention by Repipe Specialists that they expect homeowners to host inspectors twice. Any other contractor had been here to handle. Finding out day of job is annoying to say least.

They want 10% deposit and 85% at start of job, leaving 5% after final inspect. This may not be adequate if issues.

Plumbing crew mostly non English speaking, foreman (hector) is fluent and was out getting supplies when I arrived home. Hardworking pleasant guys, just most can't answer questions. Workers had to dump supplies on driveway as truck was off getting other supplies. No logo, no uniforms, not a professional appearance. Job seems to be going well.

Access to some sinks was taken on easiest route through foyer wall. Drywall should repair seamlessly, but was a surprise.

Reading other reviews; and checking on the umber of plumbing companies that have operated out of 278 Gish over years, I seem to be having a typical experience.

Worked with Randy, very professional and efficient. Made what could have been a major job into a quick and easy process. Highly recommended.

I recommend this company. Better quotes than any other plumbing companies that we got from in the Houston, TX area.

They will promise to do a good job and stay in touch with you for any needs regarding the work under their warranty.

Better to go with a well known company.

We hired ""Repipe Specialist "" to do our plumbing. I should emphasize they don't complete the work but rather sub it out. Once the salesman comes out and gets the paperwork completed and takes your money, you will not hear from them again...even if you have problems with the subcontractor. They will take your money and that is about it; no other services or support provided. Called and left message and no one called me back. I recommend getting some quotes from plumbing contractors who actually perform the work and don't take the lowest bid.

Issues with subcontractor included:
1. no foreman or lead plumber on job site any of the multiple days they were here
2. significant shower leak after first day of plumbing completed which required us to turn of the water main to the house for 16 hours- very inconvenient
3. incorrectly installed a hot water heater which was caught on first inspection visit
4. miscommunication with subcontractor and city inspector resulting in multiple missed days of work by home owner only to have a no show inspector

Positive notes about the subcontractor:
1. provided adequate crew and completed most of the work in 4 days.
2. They too told us our waste lines were in poor condition and needed replacing in order to pass inspection. They provided pictures of the waste lines and based on that along with age of house we opted to have them replaced. Although I will note the inspector never looked at this and it was not mentioned on the permit.
3. The staff at subcontractor office were attentive and helpful in regards to issues.
4. The crew worked continuously and were here typically until 7 pm or so at night.
5. They did a pretty good job patching the walls.
6. They responded in a reasonable time to fix the leak the following morning which included replacing a nozzle and cartridge on bathtub faucet (although they purchased the wrong finish).

Based on this experience I would give Repipe Specialist 1 star and subcontractor 2 stars.

Pathetic isn't harsh enough to describe this company, if it really is a company. I wont go into details of the weeks it took to finish the job, but the incredible lack of any response when you call with issues. I have left messages with the ""service"" several times since they do not have any direct contact. I have yet to receive a call back after several weeks of trying.
I literally had to hire and pay another plumbing company to come correct issues since Repipe did not respond.
i will go on record to say the subcontractor who did the work has been responsive and helpful.
