My husband found Renstrom after we had flooding in the crawl space following the torrential rains past few weeks and the heating furnace stopped working after being submerged in water. Chris, who we spoke to on the phone was very empathetic and understanding. He asked the right questions and helped send the perfect team member for the job, with all the right equipment.

Special kudos to John Walton, who came to our place and resolved all the issues in a matter of a couple hours. He identified the issue (which was essentially a built in sump pump failure that caused the flooding and stopped the heater), shared detailed insights and information on what needs to be done to resolve, provided guidance on the different options and did a thorough job installing a replacement. Not only that, he looked at the heater furnace, when that wasn't a part of our original ask to Renstrom and got it back to working smoothly! John definitely saved us a lot of headache dealing with other hvac contractors as we weren't sure if the furnace was going to work after being submerged in water for a while.

We had an excellent experience with everyone at Renstrom and ended up taking annual maintenance service package!

We had a major plumbing failure in our 1900-built San Francisco home with the main sewage pipe being affected by tree roots and deterioration from age. Renstrom plumbers did an excellent job both diagnosing the problem and repairing it. They were very responsible and helpful.

They also replaced our water heater and were able to install the new heater and fit it in a cramped space while adhering to code regulations - - something other plumbers were unable to do.

Mr Renstrom was also very responsive to our needs to write-up our sewer line repairs with the details that our insurance company required to provide appropriate coverage.

Chris was very quick to reply and professional to my request and sent out Johnny in the specified time the same day. Johnny was very experienced and did great detective work ascertaining the cause of the bathroom leak. He was very helpful and professional in doing the work. I am pleasantly surprised to have a good and easy experience, and will definitely call on them again should plumbing issues come up.

I called Renstrom because my bathroom sink was totally stopped up to the point that it finally started pushing water up not only into itself but into the sink next to it. So, clearly the two bathroom sinks shared a pipe that was clogged. This sullen Renstrom plumber came out, ran the water for a few seconds and because it had not backed up yet, he said I needed a new stopper (on a sink that was a recent bathroom re-model) and I should write to the company. Nope- can't be since the stopper had not been in the sink for days. He insisted there was nothing wrong. I asked if snaking it would help. ""No,"" he groused ""you just need a new stopper."" And, then I got charged almost 200 dollars for this useless visit. When I called Chris, who had seemed to be a very nice fellow, and told him the problem, he said that particular plumber was no longer with them. I told him to send me a refund. He hemmed and hawed and somehow made it contingent on telling him the exact time the plumber came to our house. I called him back with the exact date the check was cashed. He has never called back. Seemed to be a nice fellow, but nice fellows with any kind of ethicals behind them would not act this way. Well, I called a new and talented plumber who came out and let the sink run for maybe 2 minutes and found that there was a shared pipe that was clogged. He snaked it and all is fixed. I would stay away from this company for its lack of talent and values.

I made an appointment on Tuesday for Renstrom Plumbing to come between 8-9am on Friday.They didn't arrive between 8-9am, and still hadn't arrived by 10am. I called at 10, but no one answered so I left a message. I had taken part of the morning off to meet them and had to take even longer off. After repeated attempts to call and leave messages, they still hadn't arrived or called me back by 12, or 2 or 5 or 7pm!! I ended up taking the entire day off from work and they NEVER ARRIVED THE ENTIRE DAY, AND NEVER CALLED ME BACK. Don't waste you time!

It was a complex problem that got more difficult as they found the leak and planned the fix. Chris and his crew were great about communicating the challenges as the happened, providing me with the available options, estimating the costs and benefits of each option, and taking action quickly once I made the decision. They managed my expectations well throughout the repair, which showed their professionalism and respect for the customer.
