I cannot say enough about Max with Reliant Plumbing and their service as company in whole. I am a caterer in Austin who is cooking 1,500 meals average for the National Guard who are going down to Houston and the coast to serve, rescue and help the people who have been devastated.
We needed Same Day plumbing service in order to install the gas lines for two new ovens. Without these ovens we could not keep up with the growing demands of feeding our Great Troops on a daily basis.
Max was awesome. He had to work late into the evening to get it all installed. He was cheerful and was a pleasure to have working on our equipment. Max not only installed the gas lines that we needed, he also helped us move and switch out the kitchen equipment to make room for the new ovens. We could not have done it without Max and Reliant Plumbing.
It's a great company and a great team. I HIGHLY recommend using them as your plumber.

This Saturday afternoon while I was away from home, the city shut off my water due to a 4gpm flow. I called about 10 open plumbers, one after another, to see if any could help. Only two answered the phone, and none called me back after I left a message. One that answered the phone was out of town and told me to call back Monday if I still had a problem (fair enough).
Reliant was the other that answered their phone. They told me that they had someone already out that might be able to stop by, but they had to check. They said they would call me back within ten minutes, which they did, telling me the plumber could stop by in about an hour. He showed up on time, was friendly, and took a look. He quickly saw the leak was in the irrigation system, but told me unfortunately they are not licensed to work on those. He showed me the leak and told me the kind of license I need to look for to get the job done. I asked if I owed him anything for the inspection and he said "no charge".
Though they didn't do any actual plumbing work for me, I just wanted to give them a good rating for being responsive, on time, and helpful. Thanks!

After an awful experience with Minyard Sons, I was desperate to find a reliable, professional company to take care of a recall on my Rheem water heater. When I called and told them of my experience, they were sympathetic. But rightfully so, they were cautious to promise anything as Minyard Sons was who was contracted to do the work. Meaning, Rheem and Minyard Sons have a deal and Minyard Sons will be automatically reimbursed. Katherine told me they would be happy to have someone come out and give me an estimate and we could go from there. If the estimate was reasonable, I was absolutely planning to have them do the work even if it meant I had to pay out of pocket and wait to be reimbursed by Rheem. I scheduled an appointment for noon. About 30-45 minutes later they called me back and apologized and asked if I could possibly be available at 3. I said of course. Steven (Stephen?) called me right at 3 to tell me he had finished his current job and was on his way. He would be at my house in about 30 minutes. When I asked him if he could call when he got to the house as I would soon be putting down my daughter for her nap, he agreed without hesitation. Steven was just supposed to give me an estimate. He looked over the parts kit Rheem had sent me and thoroughly looked over the water heater. He told me how much he could do it for and it was about half what I was expecting! He also said he would be happy to do it right now as it would be a very quick and simple process. I don't think it took him more than 30 minutes. I am so happy Reliant was recommended to me because they were awesome! I would gladly use them again for any future plumbing needs.

Horribly over priced and dishonest did a sewer line for me and pulled no permit. Had to have them come back after a year of the completion so they could tear up my lawn and expose the pipe that wasso the inspector can see the work.

I called these dudes to help diagnose a water leak that skyrocketed our monthly usage to 50,000 gallons each month. John called me back and explained their process, what a water audit was, what it could find, and what it couldn't. He was very thorough and ensured my expectations were set for the service call. I had them come out at 10am the next day.
At around 9am I get a call from Reliant saying one of the jobs got larger and they would have to push the appointment back to 3. I agreed, as I was staying home that day anyway. John and Hunter showed up 30 minutes early and began the audit. They were friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. Unfortunately (or fortunately) they did not find any leaks in the slab after about 30 minutes of diagnosing. They laid out some next steps for me such as check irrigation, or check the meter is operating correctly. As they were going room to room to turn the water back on and go, they notice a slight ripple in one of the toilets. The damned thing never stopped running because the flap was warped, and it was so quiet that it went unnoticed!
We're thankful that they did a bang up job at a reasonable price. Ignore the haters, give them a try for your plumbing problems.

Workers seemed to have done a good job, but they are very overpriced, as most of the bigger companies seem to be.

These gentlemen are very professional and easy to work with. Highly recommended!!! Plumbing is usually not something we enjoy spending money on. However, the folks at Reliant are honest and fair, so the experience is always as pleasant as possible!

We had a leak in the foundation. Reliant charged $4000 to reroute the plumbing line about 20 feet. What a deal! If you call these guys be ready to write a BIG check.

Honestly this has been THE BEST vendor relationship ever! I had a slight leak in my main water turn off hole in my yard (unsure what the term is). They had done a major installation in that area 4 months prior. I casually e-mailed about them coming to take a look stating I was unsure if it was a City of Austin issue or an issue with their work. They were at my house in 30 minutes, fixed the problem immediately, texted me photos of the faulty piece of equipment and said I did not owe them anything for the visit. That NEVER happens. Thanks Reliant!

Tried to get them out to take a look at my sink. 30 minutes after their scheduled time had passed I called them and they said someone knocked on the door and called me. No call, no knock (my NEST didn't even show any attempt).
This was an emergency, so it would have been courteous to even turn down the appointment.
