I can't comment on the work because I did not give them a chance to perform that today. All I can give you is what I observed. A very minor leak coming from the cold water handle in the bathroom sink when you turned it on and the price to repair was $700-$800. You guys may do awesome work (which I have no idea if you do) but your pricing is exorbitant. If you do good work, why would you need a non-optional one year warranty and why would that justify charging 2-3x as much? This is not something new with your company. The complaints about pricing are prevalent in your reviews. I never post bad reviews. But, I feel obligated in this case because there will be someone who may potentially fall victim to your pricing because they have a serious plumbing issue that needs immediate attention. Bottom line as a consumer, do your research and don't give away your money. Find a plumber who does good work AND at a fair price because they value repeat business. I looked up the National Average for Faucet Installation. It's $245. For Austin it's $236. I was told the entire faucet needed to be replaced for that very minor leak and that even if I supplied the parts it would still cost $700 on top of the $89 diagnostic fee. Come on Reliant, be better than that. Do right by your customers.

I just wanted to thank Joey the technician who preformed my furnace check up. He was very professional and explained everything to me very clearly. He found my furnace vent pipe had been disconnected with high levels of carbon monoxide in my attic. He may have saved mine and my son's life.

My wife and I just moved to Texas and purchased a lovely Steiner Ranch home in late October. We love the house, area, and our new neighbors and have been doing significant remodeling. Mostly we've had excellent experiences with various floor installers, masons, fireplace installers, carpenters, etc. However I do want to caution you all about employing Reliant Plumbing for anything plumbing related. Here's our experience:
We had a minor leak with a toilet in one of our 4 bathrooms. I was a doctor for 37 years and now a busy consultant often on the phone so my wife was kind enough to speak with the service person who recommended replacing the whole toilet for $880 (these cost $125 at Home Depot). He promised that the toilet would be high quality and the same size as the toilet that came with the house. We had just replaced a toilet in another home we own in another state for $450 labor included so this fee was pretty much double. I figured some combination of having a home in a bigger city and perhaps Max Hicks seeing that he could charge Steiner Ranch residents significantly more money because it is a higher end neighborhood was responsible for the hefty increase in charges. Nonetheless I agreed to the fee.
However, when I got off a phone call to inspect the job, the service person was already gone and what I saw was a smaller toilet (yes I measured) than the previous one with a very cheap looking plastic seat and lid.
My wife then informed me that the service person who works for Mr. Hicks asked her to 'finger sign' a one page "work order" on his iPad. Later she was sent numerous other pages via email that the service person conveniently neglected to tell her about. The "work order" is actually the last page of a lengthy, extremely one sided contract absolving Reliant Plumbing of any responsibility for shoddy work or materials.
Displeased with the work I called Reliant Plumbing and requested that Max Hicks (the owner) call me on Monday. He didn't. I called again on Tuesday making the same request, and once again Max didn't call. I called twice today. Max then sent me an email refusing to call me back. He informed me the he only was willing to communicate via email. Then a supervisor calls me telling me I have to actually work myself up "the chain" to ever be able to speak to Max! Yes he actually said that.
I'm told by a highly regarded attorney that Max's work order/ contract wouldn't hold up in court because of the way it is presented as a one page "work order"... not a contract long enough to require legal advice.
All I wanted was to do was speak with Reliant Plumbing's owner Max Hicks to get the smaller toilet replaced with a larger one with non-plastic seat and lid but Max Hicks would rather overcharge, deceive, and ignore his customers and refuse to hop on the phone to work things out. So much for this local plumbing company cultivating community good will and pleasant beneficial long term relationships.
Buyer Beware!

Terribly expensive. I removed my toilet from the seal, cleaned out the base, but could not replace toilet successfully on a new seal. Reliant charged $345 to put the toilet on a new seal. The seal costs about $10. Took them about 10 minutes. Their rates are high.

BEWARE CUSTOMERS, THE MANAGER SAID THEY PROVIDE NO GUARANTEES FOR THEIR SERVICES AFTER FAILING TO FIX A CLOGGED PIPE. quick story, I decided to try and support a local company and they arrived promptly to work on a clogged drain. After giving me 3 extremely expensive options I chose the $400+ option and they got to work. After 30 minutes or so they said the clog was cleared and flushed the toilet 5 or 6 times and it appeared to be working. A few days the same problem happened so I called back and they told me it would be another full charge to come out because they don't guarantee that they actually fix clogged pipes even though it appeared that they just pushed the clog 50 feet further down the pipe because they brought a small shorter auger instead of the large longer auger because it was too heavy to haul around. I strongly and politely objected and then talked to the manager and after several conversations with him he said he would discount the next trip 20% off of the full rate and that he never guarantees that they fix a clogged pipe and he would not budge from that position. Needless to say, I will never call this company again and would warn anyone else of his no guarantee policy.

We bought a 50 gal water heater from Reliant Plumbing 2016. Yesterday, it broke. The technician that Reliant sent out to work on it was untrained, and needed to call tech support for help. After an hour of talking to tech support, the technician concluded that the gas control valve needed to be replaced to the tune of $1100. The technician made a point to add that this included the $300 tech support call. Reliant sold me a water heater that they were unfamiliar with and now I was paying the price for their ignorance. Do not use this company!

Dallas was nice and all. Showed up and worked with a snake on a clogged floor drain. After two hours said the drain was perhaps collapsed and next step we would need a camara and and a water pressure cleaning. He didn't have these tools available and would until but wouldn't until Dec 24. Wanted to charge me over $600, He knocked $100 off and left without fixing my clogged drain. I felt ripped off and like i called someone to fix something that wasn't prepared. Why come do a job if your not going to finish it. If it were my company i would be working to get it done.
Next time I'll call another company that has the tools needed to do the job.

We were very impressed with their professionalism in arriving on time and providing an accurate diagnosis. We would highly recommend them for any plumbing needs. Thanks to Dallas to coming on a Saturday.

They were able to set an appointment the very next day and were prompt in arriving. Dallas did an amazing job of quickly diagnosing and repairing 4 separate issues. I highly recommend reliant.

After smelling gas near our hot water heaters last night, we called several plumbing companies before finally finding one that could send out a technician right away. Reliant was courteous and professional, and they sent out a very nice licensed plumber within an hour. He shut off the gas to the house after not being to find the leak and told us they'd have to come back in the morning to run a full pressure test. A full, VERY expensive pressure test.
Unfortunately, we found out after paying for the test the tech recommended that the problem was actually a very minor issue the propane company needed to resolve. Money wasted.
So why the 4-star review? 1) They sent someone out when no one else could last night. We were scared about a possible gas leak and really appreciated the prompt service. 2) The technician was kind and honest. He made the wrong recommendation, but he did the work we paid for, and I believe he genuinely thought it was the best course of action. 3) When I spoke with a supervisor at Reliant about the situation, he listened to my concerns, investigated the matter, and followed up with me. He did not give me a full refund, but he was professional and courteous, and he offered a reasonable discount.
Ultimately, while I agree with other reviewers that their pricing is high, I found that they acted with integrity. Even skilled professionals make mistakes, and Reliant did right by us in that they were quick to respond after hours, sent a courteous, professional tech, and offered a fair solution to correct an error.
