I called them and they came out to help me with my heater. I had no heat. Steve charged me a lot to light the pilot light. The next week I didn't have heat again so I called them back and he changed me again to light the pilot light again and he replaced a part. Steve said it's ok now. Two days later my wife smelled gas bad coming from the heater, so I called again and they said to call PG&E. They came out in ten minutes, he was under the house for 45 minutes fixing everything that Steve did. My heater works fine now! I will never call them again! I gave them one star because I had to put something in.

This company: Reliable Plumbing & Heating Service refuses to come out and provide free estimate on a major job repair of main sewer pipe. I am very disappointed that they want me to pay them $69 to come out and provide estimate!

BEWARE ..Do not use Reliable Plumbing unless you want to pay 3 times what any other plumber would charge. They will not itemize their bill so you can't see the exorbitant amount they are charging. They also make you sign a contract so they are covered even if they don't show up when they say they will or if there is any discrepancies on work or price. They told us twice they were showing up on two different days and they didn't and didn't even call and let us know which really put us in a bad position with our other contractors. They are all about the money. My husband and I had a horrible experience and they are anything but ""Reliable"". Beware...make sure you get another bid before you go with them. Our mistake that we didn't. It doesn't feel good to be ripped off and very sad a business feels comfortable ripping people off. Be careful if they try to spin this..... I hope this review prevents someone from going through what we did.

These guys were great. Mario came out not once, but three times to take care of our sewer. We had a backup, then by the time we got service it wasn't visible and seemed to be working when he left after the first visit. Started using everything as normal and catching up on 4 days worth of dishes, a few hours later the sewer was backed up again. He came back out the same day and couldn't get it with the equipment he had, but scheduled us for first thing the next morning. Third time was a charm and we're so thankful for fair pricing by Reliable Plumbing and fantastic employees like Mario. Thank you!!

Had a furnace problem where the pilot light won't stay lit. Person came out asked for $199 to diagnose the problem on top of the $59 house call. Told him I already tried replacing the thermocoupler. He redid same thing and kept saying the furnace is too old. So I paid him $258 and he DID NOT diagnose the problem since diagnosis means finding what was wrong. Said the only solution was to replace the furnace. This is a bait and switch tactic and I certainly will not use this company any more. Told me the furnace will cost over $4000 to replace. I got someone else to replace it for $1600 ! Stay away from this company!

If I could rate this place a 0 stars I would!! Complete rip off!! Don't even waste your money people. I called to get our sink fixed. Well they charged us $170 just to tell us it just needed putty. The man literally was here 5 minuets. Not even 10 minutes later I call them back because the water is not going through. The guy comes the next day only to tell us the two year warranty he charged us for doesn't work for whatever was wrong in the first place, wanted to charge another $160, I was completely outraged! This is sickening how they takes people's hard earned money and then act like they can't help you unless you give them more money.

We have had a wall heater, an American Standard Champion toilet and a water softener installed in our home and the technician's workmanship, efficiency. cordiality and punctuality were excellent. Steve was top-notch and performed the work in an exemplary manner.
His ""know-how"" and effort were greatly appreciated. Most pleased!!

Don't call them. These people are con artists! I just arrived at my home in Carmel last night and found the heat not working. I called this company up in the morning and the lady on the phone said we will charge you $59 for a house call and the tech will ""diagnose the problem"" and then unite you a price to fix it. Fair enough but when the guy showed up he tells me the 59 is just to drive his van to our house, Then he needs to charge me $174 to crawl under the house to check the pilot light and furnace, and then PLUS maybe another $199 to do a furnace diagnostic test. Only after that could he tell me how much it might actually cost to fix the problem! (Assuming it wasn't just the pilot light).

Not sure how they gave themselves the name Reliable Plumbing, but based on this experience, I'd say their word is anything but reliable!
