From the time of installation, there have been problems; one unit had to be repaired three times because of inept technicians. They do not like to change filters and insist they are clean even when it has been a year. I requested they install a second duct in a room that was not adequately cooling. Two of the dirtiest men showed up covered from chest to foot with dirt; they claimed they had just come from installing an AC unit in a crawl space and wanted to walk through my home to perform the work. I refused to allow them to track dirt throughout my home. A message to their manager went unanswered. I notified the owner that I had lost confidence in their company.

My home was built in 2012 so the unit is not very old, I called them because a capacitor had failed, I replaced it but the size was not correct. Unit was working fine but I knew long term the wrong capacitor could cause issues. I had them come out to do the repairs and a tune up on the unit (replaced an air filter) I was also told that the capacitor upstairs was wrong too and it needed to be replaced. Strange I guess the builder did that incorrectly because they are the first to work on this unit other than myself. So 500 bucks later two capacitors and an air filter. A couple weeks later April 23 the motor goes out on the unit so it needs to be replaced 550 later we do that. Which could have been caused by incorrect capacitor now today unit not cooling again. Called guy on phone Was great but no urgency to get someone here for the third time to see what's wrong. Very disappointed We had to reschedule because we went out of town Called again today ac not cooling still can't make it till Friday!

Well, not sure exactly where to start but I will advise never to call them for emergency service. We called over 24 hours ago. The house is 85 degrees and we have a baby. They just canceled on us and never apologized. Said they could come out in the morning. Well, I sat here all day waiting for you to come today... because you said you would be here this morning. Don't think I'll fall for it twice! Call someone else or you'll be checking into a hotel like I am tonight!

After getting several estimates to replace my 35 yo AC unit, I decided to use Reliable because of my 5 year business relationship with them and they provided me the best price. I was told by the salesperson that a 2 man crew would be out to do the installation and should take 4 - 5 hrs to complete. On Saturday, Jesus Ocegueda arrived about 9:15am and was alone. When I asked if he would be doing the install by himself he stated yes and that the staff was pretty slim on that day. That being said, I can not say enough good things about Jesus. After doing a quick assessment and going over the checklist, he immediately begin the install and worked NONSTOP for 8 straight hours without so much as a potty break. The cleanup after the install was very thorough which is a major plus in my book. He took the time to go over the Nest App with me and explained the basic use of the Nest. If I could I would give Jesus 10 stars. I was, however, a bit disappointed with another part of this project. My sales person advised that fans would be provided until the AC install was complete because I had 0% cooling in the home other than ceiling fans. The sales person contacted the respective area via email and placed the request for them to contact me regarding delivering fans to my home on the Friday prior to my install. When I had not heard from them on Monday, I contacted them myself and left a message. When I again had not heard from the rep on Tuesday, I contacted my sales rep via phone and left a message. He apologized and sent a 2nd email and asked the rep to contact me. She responded that she was """"working on it"""" and had sent the request to Ron. By this time, I was completely done with asking for fans and advised my sales rep that since I had already been without air for 3 weeks and the install was scheduled 3 days out to just disregard the request. This is not the type of service that I have received or expected from Reliable so again was completed disappointed. While I was less than impressed with the respective area responsible for getting fans out to my home, Jesus more than made up for this with his professionalism and determination to make sure my install was done right the 1st time. If you use Reliable, please make sure to ask for Jesus Ocgueda.

On May 17th 2017 a tech named Michael came to my house to give my HVAC system a tune-up. He looked at my system, changed the filter and that was it. My wife paid the bill and when she asked him how the AC looked he replied that it was good. Didn't give any details or any useful information. The invoice that was emailed the next day did not have any useful information. It didn't say anything about the health of my system (compressor, fan, coil health). No information on how much pounds of Freon it had in the system. The AC works good I just want a more engaged company to work for me next time.

Last winter 2018 my furnace would not come on some of the time. Reliable was the only company that could come out the next day and the Reliable service tech said the fan motor was bad and because of the age of furnace the gas valve should also be replaced, estimate cost about $1800.00 so it would actually be best for me to have them installed a new furnace for around $6,000.00. I had been warned about Reliable and their service so I had another company come out and look at the furnace. I lucky I have more than one furnace and could get some heat. The problem was a simple electrical relay or condenser something like that. Cost of the defective item about $20.00. It pays to be careful about who you call and a second opinion can't hurt even though you will have to pay for a second service call. My furnace now runs great and even though it may be old it may last for many more years.

I've been a long time customer and back in 2012 Reliable installed a new AC unit. The terms were a 10 year warranty for parts and 1 year labor. It's now 2018 and my compressor's not working. Reliable wants to charge $1500.00 to repair and this is supposed to be for labor only since the compressor is covered under the 10 year warranty. Well I just found out that the warranty was only for 5 years and Reliable never registered the warranty with the manufacturer. They were also supposed to offer and extended warranty and they didn't do that either. This company used to be good, but the service is terrible and they're crooks. I will never do business with them again and will tell anyone not to do business with them as well.

What kind of business can't schedule a PREVENTIVE checkup with an existing valuable and long time customer for almost 3 months (Aug)!? Not only is the need for such a checkup nearly worthless by this time, but they can't accommodate except for a last minute wait list. You'd think they would be eager to earn $140 for basically doing nothing other than to """"check"""" the unit that takes 30 minutes. By valuable I mean I have spent over $15k installing HVAC units (2 ac and 1 heating) and paid the $135 every 6 months to have them service my system for over 5 years now. Good grief what does one have to do to spend money these days!? Looking for an alternative HVAC service tech now. Good riddance.

See the attached pictures, after RELIABLE failed to return calls and come out to repair after being told in both phone and email of the problems, I called another and they quickly showed me the problems as well as an electrician who stated it was dangerous and idiotic they did this. Thanks RELIABLE for costing me $800 when you zip tied fuses together and even used an OLD unit with two NEW TRANE 2.5 ton air conditioners and could have BURNED DOWN the residence. Look at the pictures to see how bad they did and worse was their failure to even try to live up to it.

I've used Reliable for years and I'm done with these guys. I feel like the only thing they want to do is sell me new units when I need something trivial. My unit needed two pounds of refrigerant, which is about $30/lb on the open market. They wanted to charge me $174/lb. They thought I may have a small leak in my condenser coils and quoted me $2500. Researching online, the average cost is $600-$1200 for my area. The cost of the actual part is $200. Over and over again, their goal seems to be to come up with outlandish service costs that rival the cost of a new unit so you just give in and buy a new one. When I challenged them on this, the service tech just shrugged and said I should take it up with the corporate office. I'm happy that I have a laptop and internet connection so that I can quickly evaluate things the service techs are telling me.
