I would seriously consider finding another company for your needs. I had them come to my house on Jan 4th to help re-route a condensation pump that had frozen. The tech chose to run it down an interior drain he """"thought"""" would head out of the house. Turns out that line causes a pretty large leak and a ceiling will have to have some serious work to fix. They did come back and route the line the way they should have but won't return any calls when it comes to the damage they caused. I've called three times and did talk to a supervisor that couldn't help me but assured that the right person would call me the next day. That was 4 days ago. I judge companies on how they handle the problems that come up and they haven't been anywhere to be found.

After 10 months, my heater MIGHT finally be fixed. It took 6 visits from the technicians for the same problem at almost $800 for parts and labor before a manager was allowed to come out. I have been attempting to get a refund from the company, but they are ignoring my emails, tweets, and have even blocked me from their Facebook. TERRIBLE customer service and sadly only one person on the staff knows what they are doing. DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!

My experience was a fair one, but certainly not one that portrays """"I am reliable!"""" WHAT I DISLIKED: - Failed to initially send me the sales quote promised - Failed to show up at the correct time for the sales appointment - * Owner failed to follow-up with me even after I communicated the following issues: - Repeat visits (3) to get it done right! - Had issues with the new Thermostat installed. Communicated this problem to office staff - they were useless in communicating my issue to the service tech who came unprepared and w/o replacement equipment - Damaged my Ceiling (Drywall) but were unresponsive to repairing the issue - until I messaged the """"owner"""" and service manager WHAT I LIKED: - Staff and Technicians are courteous and friendly - Received a fair honest price for the new system installed - Use high quality equipment and tend to know what they are doing in general - Owner called me back regarding 1st issue I encountered. And seemed personable and helpful but .... See above* (under disliked) - They eventually took accountability of the installation issues and resolved the problems

I read many positive reviews so when I wanted to replace my heating and air system I chose Reli- this company. Before, my system was replaced, I was able to heat AND cool my home. Unfortunately, I had a leak and my compressor stopped working so I decided to replace the entire system. I thought that I was eliminating the need to have a constant parade of repairmen come to my home to patch up my system. This company sent someone to check out my home and my old heating and air system. The person did not correctly assess the way my heating and air conditioning unit functioned. (Again, I was able to use both and I was able to control the temperature of each level of my home) Consequently, this company did not install a unit that worked properly in my home. Since they installed the system in the summer of 2012, I have had to call someone to come to my home to work on the system over 10 times. Now instead of being able to switch my unit between heat and air, I have to call this company to send someone to make the necessary adjustments. It is now cold in my home and I am not able to use the heat. When it is hot, I can't simply turn on the air. Although I paid (in full) for a new system that would operate both the heating and air. I have made this company aware of the problem but they refuse to fix it. Instead of fixing the problem, they have sent a service person to my home once every season to change my heating system to air and vice versa. This usually means I have to take time from work to wait for them to come. This company has not represented themselves as reliable to me. I am very frustrated and I wish I had chosen a company that was more reliable.

Within two weeks of each other my AC unit malfunctioned and the hot water heater and pressure relief valve on my house broke. I asked some neighbors who to call for the AC and they recommended Reliable Heating and Air. I got them to come out and fix my AC, then when the plumbing problems happened two weeks later I remembered they also have a plumbing department. They were very reasonable with pricing and very professional. I will never use anyone else for AC, heating or plumbing problems. Excellent service.

I called about a unit they previously installed. The reliable employee did a ten minute diagnostic to tell me the motor died and I needed a new unit...then charged me a $89.00 fee for that. When calling to get a quote for a new unit they had by far the highest prices.

Useless! I called to get an quote for having a water shut-off valve for a toilet replaced, the existing one no longer shuts completely. The first two plumbing companies I called gave me an immediate quote (within $20 of each other, btw) without any hesitation. Reliable INSISTED that they will only quote on site AND that the site visit would cost $89.95 whether or not I chose to have them do the work. How incredibly stupid is that?! This is a simple job for which no on-site ANYTHING is needed. I will never, ever do business with a company whose policies are so brainlessly lame as this one.

I had an A/C go out and one vendor check it out. In the hopes of getting a second opinion, I called Reliable. The technician was onsite on Wednesday (7/31) and called to tell me the refrigerant was out. I explained that I knew this and that there was clearly a leak and the other vendor had already tried to fix it and even replaced a valve, but clearly a leak still existed. He said he'd check it out and then we hung up. Two days later, I get a call from the tenant and was told the A/C still wasn't working and the guy never fixed it. I called Reliable again and asked what happened, why I hadn't heard back from the technician, and/or why it wasn't fixed.. The technician was called back out to the property where he was met by my wife. The technician told my wife he didn't remember ever being at the property (only two days ago) but was assigned to it as a re-do. After talking with her for a few minutes, he then changed his story to say that he had talked to me on Wednesday afternoon and (at that time) told me I needed to talk to Sales about getting a new unit. First, he didn't remember being there and then he incorrectly recalled a conversation that never happened...odd. We finally talked on the phone again and he told me the unit would probably cost $6,000 and take a week to install. Being this was a rental property, he recognized I might want to save money. He said there were used units on Craigslist that plenty of HVAC guys would be happy to install. He said he'd find me some names of people who would do the work for me, but, as expected, he never called back. BTW, he also quoted $95/unit of refrigerant whereas the other vendor only charged $55. In the end, I ordered an A/C unit from the original vendor.

Title: It took multiple visits and almost 2 months to get my new Trane 12MBH mini split heat pump installed then fixed. Short Version: Reliable employs very nice people but has significant issues with their estimate and installation service on the ductless Trane 12MBH mini split heat pump. The estimate was wrong even though I was very clear on what I wanted done. The installers were 2 hours late. The unit was installed incorrectly which caused major leak issues. It took almost two months and 7 appointments to get it fixed. They tried to sneak in an additional $225 charge on the invoice (I assume to recoup some of the loss on their mistakes). I would not recommend Reliable if you are looking for a hassle free experience or installation of a ductless mini split heat pump. Complete Story: My experience with Reliable has been an exercise in patience. I hired them to install the Trane 12MBH mini split heat pump to be put in on Saturday May 11, 2013. The initial visit in April for the estimate went very well. I was very clear in my expectations and confident in the sales person and the product offered seemed to fit my needs. The problems began when the installers arrived 2 hours late for our appointment and it has been a saga since then. First, the installers informed me that my estimate did not cover any drywall work or paint to repair the wall once they tore it out for the new unit. This surprised me since I was emphatic with the salesman that I wanted an estimate for the entire job start to finish, including repair of the wall. I finally had to ask to speak to the owner of the company that morning. They never allowed me to speak with the owner but they said he decided it was the salesman's fault and allowed them to commence the install without increasing the total price (or so I was told). The guys who did the install were very nice and really worked hard to get the job done since they were late. Unfortunately, as I would find out later, they had little to no experience with installing that particular model and brand of heat pump. I used the a/c unit all day Sunday but then at about 10pm that evening I stepped in a huge puddle of water on my way downstairs. Sure enough, the unit was pouring (not dripping) water down the wall and onto my hardwood flooring. I turned the unit off and called Reliable first thing Monday morning to send a tech out. The tech (who also had no experience with that particular make and model) assured me it was a humidity issue and that it should resolve itself. I was skeptical but turned the unit back on. Two days later the same thing happened. From May 13, 2013 to June 15, 2013 I had multiple visits from different technicians. The unit was not usable for longer than a few hours at a time during this entire ordeal. Eventually, I started asking the techs about replacing the unit. It was obvious no one knew what was wrong or how to fix it. At this point I got fed up and called again to reach the owner. This time I did not take no for an answer. The owner was very apologetic and assured me they would take care of it on the next visit. They ended up sending out the customer service manager. Also, a very nice guy. He visited my home 3 times over the next few weeks. It was during one of these visits I learned that the TRANE mini split was new to the market and that Reliable had little to no experience installing them. Finally, after a total of 7 visits to my home it was determined that the original installers had not located the unit correctly on the wall which was then causing drainage issues. They scheduled another appointment and moved the unit which I am relieved to report fixed the problem. The last issue, the one that caused me to write this review, was when I got my bill on July 15th. They had slipped in an ambiguous charge of $225 to my bill without ever discussing it or explaining it. After all the time wasted and headaches they caused I am exasperated to say the least. I realize this additional charge was more than likely to make up for what the salesman lost on the drywall or to recoup some of the cost for the 7 additional visits to my home over the last 2 months but those issues were not my fault and I refuse to pay for their mistakes. After yet another contact with the office they agreed there was no justification for the charge and amended my bill to reflect the original estimate from April 20th. I requested the owner contact me regarding the matter the same day. Still no response 3 days later. To say it has been an ordeal is an understatement. I've been patient and reserved throughout but others should know about this experience. I am quite disappointed that Reliable did not measure up to the good ratings I had viewed during my research. I hope this review helps others to make a more informed decision.

never ever EVER use Reliable Heating and Air. We have now been without air conditioning for a WEEK and their customer service has been atrocious! They have charged us an absurd amount for absolutely no service. First, we scheduled a service call for and the technician did not show up until almost 10:00 pm. They did not have the part they needed, and were supposed to notify us when it came in, but did not - we had to call them 5 days later to find out it was already in stock. I have now been waiting around for over 4 hours (taking my last day of PTO from work) and I am STILL waiting in a stuffy hot house. When we called to ask where the technician was we were blown off by the manager and basically told to suck it up. We are NOT paying this much money to suck it up. If you cannot perform the service you advertise you should NOT be in business. UNreliable is more like it.
