Had them out to hook up my solar to my new water heater. They came out, made a few needed repairs to the solar, and hooked everything up. After turning the water heater back on, it started peeping with a warning message The tech mentioned he didn't know anything about that particular water heater and basically said set it and forget it. What plumber doesn't know the basics of a Home Depot water heater? Well, the water heater was completely disabled at this point. No hot water at all. I had to personally undo everything he did to get it back up and running. After calling them for 2 days, the tech called me back and said my water heater was incompatible with my solar system and he was willing to discount his labor. I mentioned that everything he did was pointless if my water heater can't be hooked up to the solar system and he should have known this before he charged me $300 for something I can't even use and doesn't solve my problem. He still wanted to charge me for the minor repairs to the solar. I told him those repairs would have be unnecessary if he wasn't able to get the system working in the first place. Completely unethical and horrible business practices.

I contacted Reidhead to look at my solar water heater. The technician was on time and very friendly. However, he completely misdiagnosed my problem. He spent less than 5 minutes looking at my water heater before telling me I needed a new one. He then spent 10 minutes writing up the estimate, $3000 for a new solar water heater, or $900 to convert the system back to a regular water heater. We decided to go with that option and scheduled the repair for a few days later. About 10 minutes after the technician left, the office called and said they would need another $300-400 because they needed to go on the roof and fix it when they deactivated the solar system. At that time I told them to cancel the repair order and I'd get a second opinion. I'm glad I did. My husband decided to take a look at the water heater, and come to find out the breaker was off! So he switched the breaker back on, and presto, the water heater kicked on. The pump for the solar panel also wasn't working, and a quick Amazon search found us the exact one for $98. We ordered it, installed it ourselves and now we're back up and running. We spent $130 to have our problem misdiagnosed, and $98 to fix the problem ourselves. So, get a second opinion, or check the obvious symptoms first. Our technician didn't even check the breaker before pronouncing our water heater dead.

I came home today and noticed a water leak dripping from my AC air return grate. After containing the leak via a bucket, I informed my property management company whom handles all my home maintenance issues. Within minutes I received a call from Reidhead Plumbing offering to have a technician swing by immediately. They showed up in a timely manner and conducted themselves politely and professionally. Gilbert and Gilbert-John were extremely courteous and professional.

I am giving this establishment a zero!!! We called them for two separate occasions and made appoointments. The first occasion they called 1 hour before the end time of 8-12 to tell me that the technician was not coming. And on the second time it happened again!!!!! I took time off of my job so I have lost wages and they don't even have the courtesy of showing up. That is not customer service! Terrible company. Do Not call them!!!

After numerous phone calls about a repair to a solar hot water system installed by this company, not only did we not get a return phone call, but no referral if they were no interested in helping to maintain a system they installed.

Outrageously expensive! We needed to drain our pool but could not get the cap off of the sewer drain in our driveway. He charged us $300 to remove the brass cap and replace it with a new one. It was 15 minutes worth of labor, at the the most, but he charged us an hour and a half because he didn't have the part on his truck. Even though he knew when we called that we would need to replace the cap that we could not get off. A trip charge ($130) plus an hour and a half labor charge and the part was $15 came to $300. I feel robbed.

So my old water heater started leaking and I needed a new one, it started out as one of those days....
I posted my requirement on Home advisor and started getting calls. After pricing around, I went with Reidhead Plumbing and Solar, their pricing was really fair. They called when they said they would, had someone out the same day. The plumber, Mike, was fast, efficient and thorough. What a great experience at a time when the day is looking gloomy, so happy I went with them and would recommend them to everyone. Now, I have to go take a nice hot shower.....

This is sweet and simple, before I moved out of my old place Keith came through fast and got my old water heater working. I must say I'm very happy to own a new house now and won't need his services for some time but I always know who to call even though I'm in Las Vegas Now. THANKS AGAIN! KEITH and Reidhead plumbing saved the day! Sorry for taking so long to leave this review I have been so busy!
