Reddick and Sons, Inc. was created by members of the Reddick family. Daniel Reddick initiated this venture with the aspiration of offering superior customer service and proficiency in the home service field in Northern Virginia. The Reddicks named their business after their sons, hoping they will continue the legacy of exceptional craftsmanship in the trades.

Reddick and Sons Inc. is a family-run company, founded in 2009. Daniel Reddick, who serves as President, was born and raised in Prince William County. He possesses Master licenses in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and gas fitting. Daniel started Reddick and Sons with the intent of offering outstanding customer service to the Northern Virginia region. With more than 20 years in the service sector, Reddick and Sons Inc. provides professional service to the broader Northern VA region.

Shane came to give me an estimate for the electrical work that I'm interested in. I was notified of time frame when I scheduled the appointment. Shane called 1/2 hour ahead to tell me his arrival time. He inspired confidence in me as he explained what needs to be done to ensure that the work is done according to code. I had a few other questions regarding the electrical panel. He explained everything in a knowledgeable, patient, nonjudgmental way. I have faith in Reddick & Sons technicians. I have used them for installation of Mitsubishi mini split for my sunroom, HVAC system, gas hot water heater, plumbing emergencies. I feel Danny the owner is an honest, caring man who ensures their prices are fair and their work is always excellent.

Did not find leak, told me it was something it wasnt and overcharfed me for it. I ended up finding and sealing it myself, missing grout at base of wall where it meets the floor. Charged 8x on parts (I verified with Fergusons plumbing supply). Told me a shower head I already had wouldn't work and he'd have to order one, which was a lie bc I installed it no problem. He cut 2 holes in my ceiling that wouldnt have been necessary if he had located the missing grout...whcih Mark didnt even Iook for (leak detection specialists my ass) bought a moisture detector and after 2 weeks of using the shower my repair worked. Wasted $800+ on these rip off artists. Now I have to pay to have the ceiling repaired as well. AVOID

Money was fully refunded. Customer service is important to these guys. Mistakes happen but when a company stands behind their work Id work with them again.

Joe M arrived on time--in fact, he arrived at 12 pm for my 12-4 pm appointment, which I very much appreciated. He was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable.

My outdoor A/C unit has been leaning, with one side sinking into the ground, since last year. The ground-level deck it was leaning into prevented it from sinking further. When another company serviced my A/C and heat in 2024, I was told it would cost about $800 to remove the unit and base, add gravel, and then put everything back. I decided to wait until this year.

So glad I did. Joe told me it could cost up to $1K to do the same work, but he helped me level the unit with a strip of landscaping wood I had on the property. Problem solved, and there was no charge. He then serviced my A/C and told me about two other items that would need to be addressed but could wait until next year. He did give me advice on how I might be able to temporarily address one of the items by using a hose to clean the coils through the vents.

I used Reddick and Sons in 2023 for electrical work when I replaced a 40-year-old double oven and stovetop with a new oven. I was very pleased with the work done at that time. I am so glad to see Reddick and Sons does electrical, HVAC, and plumbing. It is a one-stop shop for all my needs and a company I can trust.

Request for Partial Refund - Unused HVAC Service

Dear Reddick & Son Representative,

I am reaching out regarding a refund request for an unused service under our HVAC check-up plan with Reddick and Sons, Inc.

Two years after installing our new HVAC system, we were offered a yearly check-up plan for $199, which included two annual check-ups. While I initially declined, my husband purchased the plan. After enrolling, we used one check-up. However, six months later, we decided to sell the property.

When my husband called to cancel the service, he was not informed that the remaining check-up was non-refundable. The service was canceled without any mention of a refund policy. When I later inquired about a partial refund of $99.50 for the unused service, I was informed that refunds were not available per the terms and conditions.

After reviewing the contract, I could not find any clause explicitly stating that unused services are non-refundable upon cancellation. Below is the full text of the terms and conditions:

Terms and Conditions:
Reddick and Sons, Inc. warrants that the scope of work will be completed in a workmanlike manner and in compliance with all state and local codes.
Services provided by Reddick and Sons, Inc. are done so on a COD basis. Payment is due at the completion of service or installation unless Client has previously stipulated payment terms with Company. Large projects and installations require payment of a 50% deposit with the remaining 50% due at the completion of services provided by Reddick and Sons, Inc.
Reddick and Sons, Inc. will proceed with necessary legal action on any outstanding invoice greater than 30 days unless the customer has made payment arrangements with the Company in an effort to resolve the balance.
Reddick and Sons, Inc. is not responsible for water damage or drywall repairs related to plumbing or air conditioning repair. With respect to services that consist of drain cleaning, there is no warranty of any kind unless otherwise indicated on the invoice. The foregoing warranties are with respect to the Services provided only and do not extend to the actual components. The Company will not be held responsible for any drain line stoppages or damages to the existing waste pipe while attempting to clear an obstruction to said piping or fittings.
The Company cannot and does not warrant any product provided by the Client or offer any warranty on products longer than the manufacturer's warranty. Manufacturer warranties on materials, fixtures, appliances, or equipment are deemed assigned to the original owner. Manufacturer warranties are not transferable to subsequent owners unless otherwise specified or an additional warranty is purchased.
Any project that requires a city or county inspection is handled directly through the jurisdiction. Reddick and Sons, Inc. is not affiliated with local and state jurisdictions, although the company may act as a facilitator to fulfill inspection requirements between the Client and the jurisdiction.
With regard to permitting, any required third-party drawings or engineering that may arise will be at the Client's expense and not included with the cost of services. It is the Client's responsibility to respond to requests for county inspections in order to close permit requirements. Once a permit is expired, there will be an additional cost to renew the permit in order to be eligible for inspection; cost TBD based upon jurisdiction.

Nowhere in these terms does it state that prepaid services become non-refundable upon cancellation. Additionally, when I inquired about transferring the unused check-up to the new homeowner, I was informed that this was not possible since the service had already been canceled. Given that:

1. We were not informed about the non-refundable nature of the unused service before cancellation,

2. The contract does not explicitly state that prepaid services are non-refundable upon cancellation, and

3. The service could not be transferred to the new homeowner.

I believe I am eligible for a partial refund of $99.50 for the unused service. I would appreciate your review of this request and a response clarifying the refund policy.
