Back in January 2016 Randy came by and gave me a quote to install a new Pelican saltless softener. His quote was competitive so I went with him. It took him about 2 hours. The results was exactly as expected. His work is quick, clean, and the system has been working great still.

Randy and his assistant came out promptly (in fact they called to check and came early) and were able to diagnose and fix the drain issues very quickly. We had a bit of an unusual setup in our add-on bath with no access point, but Randy quickly figured that it was an issue with the jockey motor not kicking in. it was a quick fix and to top it, Randy only charged me for a service call. A real professional! Both men were courteous and I am super happy with their service. Chanel on the phone was also very nice and responsive and able to explain what steps would be taken. Strongly recommend them and will definitely call on them again.

We have used RCV twice now and have been extremely satisfied from the initial contact to the job completion---a very well run family business that takes pride in customer service and quality work.

Randy is a super nice guy, professional and trustworthy. We have had nothing but positive experiences with his work. Great family owned small business. I highly recommend his services.

I've had a lot of plumbing upgrades done to my house, and they've been absolutely amazing. Love these guys, and I'm so happy to finally have a ""go to"" plumber for everything.

I have an unusual problem with an old shower valve. Called many plumbers and most of them had no interest to do the work. One plumber came but he could not fix the problem, but suggested to replace the whole shower valve for ~$700. Luckily I found Randy who fixed it within minutes and charged less than $100. I was thrilled...

RCV returned my call quickly and scheduled a visit the next day. Randy was on-time and checked out several issues I was having. He provided solid recommendations for updating our water softener/filtration system. Nice guy. I'll be calling them again for any future plumbing issues.

I had the pipe from the house to the street replaced by RCV ~2.5 yrs. ago with copper pipe. I recently found a leak and called Randy back to take a look and fix the problem. There was a small hole (pin size) in the area where the pipe connected to the fitting. Randy mentioned that it was out of warranty and that he would have to charge me for the repair. I wasn't happy about it but what could I do ... I was losing water and would have to call in another plumber to fix it. What really got me is that he charged me 1.5 hrs of labor when he arrived at 12:45 and left at 2:00pm which included a 25 min. trip to the hardware store to get a basic fitting that he should have had in his truck. I feel as though RCV didn't stand by their original work and definitely felt ripped off by getting charged for 1.5 hrs of labor even though the actual time to repair the leak was less than 1 hr.

Randy is professional, on time, and honest. He installed a pressure regulator on my house. His quote was accurate and he finished the job when he said he would. He communicates if he's going to be early or late. He also did some follow up work to replace a gas valve and there were no issues with the cost or work. During that job he also investigated a water line leak and correctly determined that it was the city portion of the water line that was leaking, which was fixed a few weeks later (by the water company) at no cost to me. If I need plumbing work in the future, I'm going to call RCV.

***Prologue:
Saturday, October 24, 2015
It is late Saturday Night. The wife and I are tired from a late night of partying at a friend's house. We sluggishly open the door to our 2 story home, when our intuition tells us to ""check the kitchen"". At this point, the bed seemed like a better idea, since we stayed out late to socialize. However, we listen to our heart, and see a small puddle near the dog's water bowl.
""Clumsy kitties"", Scott muttered.
""They always play and splash around near the water bowl.""
Upon further inspection, my wife exclaims, ""Hey, I think there's a leak from the dishwasher!""
We head upstairs, immediately drying up, and mopping up the flood, to realize that it wasn't the dishwasher but the Water Heater. As I instruct my wife to continue cleaning up the water, I turn off the water supply to our house, the pilot light, and all necessary valves to close the floodgate, but it is too late.
The damage already happened, and the kitchen was one big, wet, sopping mess.
Finally after 2 hours of draining the now dead Water Heater, mopping the floor, and setting fans up near the rotting drywall, we head to bed, and collapse.
***Captain's log, Day 1 with no water:
Sunday, October 25, 2015:
It is a new day. We are currently without any water to our home. After closing all of the valves to our dead Water Heater, we try to at least get cold water to our home. No luck. The tank has corroded from the inside-out. Without water, we are rendered useless.
It is currently 1300 hours, and we have tried contacting our Home Insurance company, our neighbors, to find any survivors. No casualties as of 1300.
After receiving a plumbing referral from our Insurance company, I initiate the Interwebz mainframe to discover that the initial referral to be a poorly rated company. This captain is not a risk taker! He has embarked on a journey to navigate safely, and using the Yelp protocol on our Interwebz, we discovered a company known as ""RCV Plumbing"". Although this was the 3rd or 4th company that we found, they were the first one with great reviews AND open on the weekends (which was the major criteria we were looking for.)
After contacting RCV, we were scheduled for a Monday appointment. Even though we weren't able to get it fixed on this very day, I obliged to keep the appointment.
I understand that a high-quality, in-demand service has a fairly busy schedule!
I was very impressed with the initial phone contact I had, very professional.
***Captain's log, Day 2 with no water:
Monday, October 26, 2015:
It is the start of a work-week. Luckily for me, I have access to a water dispenser and shower at my work, which the wife and I will be utilizing.
We are scheduled to meet with Randy today at approximately 1600-1800 hours. After sending a photo transmission of our current water heater, we were told that it would have to be replaced (which we knew from various YouTube videos and forums that that would be the case).
1535 hours, Randy sends an audio transmission, in which my cellular device intercepts. I answer, and acknowledge that he is on his way.
Randy shows up at 1600 hours on the dot. (CRAZY PROMPT!) and assesses the situation.
Unfortunately for us, we live in a Townhouse. Because the Water Heater is in a tight location (and not in an open space, such as a garage), the job requires another person.
We are at a slight loss, but the wife and I manage.
During the photo transmission I fail to have described that it is in a tight location... perhaps part of the message was intercepted. Blasted Pirates.
We are rescheduled for the next day at the same time.
***Captain's log, Day 3 with no water:
Tuesday, October 27, 2015:
It has been 72 hours since our disaster, and after calling in various insurance claims, restoration companies, and our HOA, I am anxious for a nice warm shower in the comfort of our own home.
We are stranded without water, in the midst of civilization.
At approximately 1755 hours, Randy and Mike(?) show up to the rescue.
We are immediately in their grace and they repair the damage to our hull of a home.
In less than an hour's worth of time, they not only replace the Water Heater, but they disposed of the old one, switch out some of the valves, but provide us with running water in less than an hour!
***ABRIDGED REVIEW:
Water Heater gushed very late Saturday night, and I contacted RCV plumbing the day after.
Randy was able to come out on Tuesday, replace the Water Heater, switch out some of the old valves with newer ones, haul away the old water heater, and provide us with a working Water Heater in less than an hour!
I am very impressed with his work and I highly recommend RCV Plumbing.
Prompt, Professional, Great Price, and a Plumber you can trust!
Thanks Randy!
