Not nice plumber. We got an issue he said he foxed it but didn't show us any proof of what he got.
On October 29, 2019, we paid RCV Plumbing and Sewer $337.49 to order a repair kit for a backflow valve. It was to be delivered between 3-4 days. We called after 7 days and they said that they were unable to schedule the repair for another week. At that point we cancelled the order and requested the refund of our $337.49. Our gardener was able to fix it in minutes by just cleaning the gasket. No parts were needed. RCV has not refunded our $ or responded to any of our calls or text messages since then.
Dee K.Great service! RCV plumbing sent Randy out to our house within 90 minutes of my initial phone call. Randy assessed the water heater damage fairly quickly and made a call to the manufacturer to see if the parts can be covered under warranty since the warranty expired 3 months ago. He was able to get the parts under warranty! The parts arrived the next day. Randy came back out to replace the parts at an affordable cost! There were no hidden charges and he charged me what he initially estimated. RCV plumbing didn't even charge me to come out and assess the damage. That's rare these days. Most companies put a $$ sign on just about everything. I received fast, friendly and affordable service and I will recommend RCV plumbing to others.
Plumbing companies are a dime a dozen here in the San Jose area but not all provide a great service - not all provide an affordable service - not all are honest. In fact some will rip you off! RCV Plumbing & Sewer helps you when you're in need and I don't feel like that they take advantage of your situation.
Alee A.RCV saved the day. Literally.
I live in a 71 year old house and occasionally the sewer line backs up (due to roots in the line, etc.) and it causes our shower to back up and water to seep out from under the toilet. Being a renter, I'm not authorized to make big decisions (like replacing the line) otherwise it would have been changed long ago. Anyhow, over this past weekend the problem began. Initially we tried draino in the drain to see if that would help so we wouldn't have to call someone, and that didn't help. Sunday rolls around and I finally call Chanel. I asked if they would be able to get someone out sometime early in the week (assuming I'd have to wait a couple days) and what they charged to snake the line. She told me the cost which was affordable and she was able to get Randy to our house on Monday afternoon. He arrived within the time frame that was given by Chanel and took care of the line. He did recommend putting a camera in the line to see how bad the roots are but didn't try to make more money by trying to make us feel like that needed to be done that day. He recommended that replacing the line would be beneficial, overall. Not an outrageous suggestion when you're talking about a 71 year old house with 71 year old plumbing. He wrote up what he suggested and what it would cost so my husband and I could discuss it with our landlord. He didn't push the sale, understanding that the decision is ultimately not ours to make. Overall my experience with RCV Plumbing & Sewer was entirely a positive one. I, myself would use them again for future plumbing needs and would HIGHLY recommend them to someone looking for this type of service.
I am SO impressed!! My appointment with RCV was to replace a kitchen faucet. I had spoken with Chanel when verifying my appointment about another problem I had been having for over a year with random methane fumes near the master bathroom. She spent some time discussing possible causes for the problem and said Randy could look at it when he came to install the faucet. After installing the faucet, Randy was willing to look at the bathrooms near the methane fume problem. I had had three other plumbers visit in an attempt to find the problem, along with their associated fees, only to have them shrug and say they didn't know what was causing the smell. I even replaced the toilet thinking it was caused by a faulty seal. But in less than 3 minutes Randy found the source of the problem and taught me how to avoid methane vapors in the future! I am very appreciative!
RCV is my new plumber! After this experience I wouldn't go to anyone else!
Hilary K.I would LOVE for your customers to see your response to my review Chanel. You not only look foolish, but sound foolish as well. I may have signed for the service, but I sure didn't sign for an OLD water heater NOT underc warranty. Future clients BEWARE, don't sign blindly for items, PERIOD.
I have to suggest you use some other contractor, as these people lack professionalism, and even common courtesy (not so common these days). I called their office and left a message, a couple hours later I tried back, I was able to speak with a woman who I told what I needed, she asked a couple questions and I told her a bit more, we spoke for about 10 mins. She said she would speak to her plumber and have him call me because she thought we should discuss the matter directly, I said fine. I get a call from Randy (guessing he's the ""R"" in ""RCV Plumbing"", he tells me who he is and I say hello, then long awkward pause......""yeah""? He says. Not, so how can I help you, not - what can I do for you today...just yeah.....? Unprofessional, and annoying frankly. The call digressed from there as Randy told me his office staff/associate/answering service/wife - I have no idea, but that person didn't communicate any of the things we spoke about to Randy. So now I'm telling my story to them for third time, and not getting much from him in return, I'm asking questions and getting incomplete answers. I ask him how much he charges to install a new toilet in place of an old one, he says we charge $95 (I think it was) an hour...long pause. Not, well I'd estimate the work to take approx this much time and this is our labor rate. Whatever. So then I ask how soon he thinks he can come out, he says call my office to schedule. For years I worked for a contractor, we built 1600 new construction jobs a year and were the largest company of our kind in our large state, and I always had a general idea of what our lead time was, and when someone asked me I never responded - call my office. I told him his office can call me if they want to schedule something with me, he said- ok. Never heard from them. Don't waste your time with this clown, he won't respect your time or your business, and he won't handle himself professionally.
Belle M.Fast, friendly and affordable. Great service all around with great quality work. Will use again and highly recommend them to friends and family.
I had a long list of plumbing to do's, I kept putting them on the side to not have to deal with the hassle of finding a good plumber. I was affraid of the time and monetary investment. I couldn't put my to do's on the side since it became a fix now problem or deal with the consequences later.
I was fortunate enough to find RCV Plumbing and they came to my rescue and slayed my Plumbing TO DO Monster. It was quick easy and affordable.
I wish I would have found them sooner!
Huy N.Back in January 2016 Randy came by and gave me a quote to install a new Pelican saltless softener. His quote was competitive so I went with him. It took him about 2 hours. The results was exactly as expected. His work is quick, clean, and the system has been working great still.
Randy and his assistant came out promptly (in fact they called to check and came early) and were able to diagnose and fix the drain issues very quickly. We had a bit of an unusual setup in our add-on bath with no access point, but Randy quickly figured that it was an issue with the jockey motor not kicking in. it was a quick fix and to top it, Randy only charged me for a service call. A real professional! Both men were courteous and I am super happy with their service. Chanel on the phone was also very nice and responsive and able to explain what steps would be taken. Strongly recommend them and will definitely call on them again.
