Recommended Customer Reviews

Very impressed with their customer service. This company was provided to us because our hot water heater was under warranty. I figured that since it was a warranty repair they would not make us a priority but I would say that within 3 hours of contacting them they had sent a repairman to our house and fixed the hot water heater. We were not even home and he was willing to enter my garage with out supervision. I would definitely recommend them!

These guys are great! Scott came from Culver City to the South Bay to do a warrantee repair on my water heater. Scott came out at a time that was convenient for me and was done quickly. He was very friendly and professional. Ver glad I called them.

Terrible experience with this company ... rude , lies, stay far away ...
Scott very rude and unprofessional... calls not returned .. Trent seems to have no idea what is going on ... tells you something and doesn't seem to know or care if it is ever done....
Do not use them !!!!!

Absolutely do not ever use this service or allow these men into or around your home. Had an issue late Saturday night with a sprinkler system valve being broken. Water spraying from the valve and sprinkler running. Had to shut the water to the house off in order to get it to stop. Called on a recommendation Sunday morning the get the valve simply capped so it could be fixed this week. We have a 2 and 4 year old mind you and we took them to my parents. I arrived back at the house 2 minutes after the Plummer scott was sent out to check on it. He came driving up blast his horn screaming and cursing at me that he had been at a bbq and why did we morons call him it's the sprinkler. Getting right in my face as we almost came to blows. He smelled of alcohol. These men are loose cannons. I have a video from my ring doorbell that I am happy to share that shows the incident and all the colorful language I can not post here that he used

I was referred to Ray Blom Plumbing by a family member who had a positive experience. Unfortunately my experience was the exact opposite. I was scheduled for service on a Saturday for three small plumbing issues. I was notified ahead of my appointment that the work truck was disabled and that I would need to reschedule. I rescheduled for the following day, Sunday, for the same three issues. On Sunday Scott came to my home unprepared to fix anything. He stated that he didn't know what needed to be fixed, even though I stated what needed to be fixed when I scheduled the original appointment. Scott attempted to fix the clog in the bathroom sink and succeeded in making a mess by creating a pool of black soot in the sink. After attempting to clear the clog with a wire hanger that he requested from me I offered a hand cranked snake which he also used unsuccessfully. He finally called a coworker, Ben, to inquire if he could respond to my home to fix the clog. Thankfully Ben was able to respond to my home & fix the clog without any problems. Scott asked to reschedule to fix the other two issues for the following Friday at 8:00 am. I agreed to allow him to fix the remaining two issues but when the scheduled time of his arrival past I was of course annoyed. Twenty minutes after the scheduled appointment time Scott called to inform me that his truck was broken down and that ""I could reschedule or find someone else."" Even though I was annoyed at his ineptness & complete unprofessionalism I was actually relieved to not have him attempt to fix anything else in my home. I can offer a positive review for Ben. I am grateful that he was able to provide his services on a Sunday. He arrived at the scheduled time and was professional.

Our kitchen, hallway, bathroom all flooded thanks to backed up plumbing we share with our upstairs neighbor- called Ray Blom in a panic and spoke with friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable Jami, and she sent a plumber same day (Ben) who knew what to do, did it no-nonsense, and we were dry and happy in no time.
I highly recommend the excellent folks at Ray Blom!

Rip off for service done. The owner is a nasty rude person who lies. He owed me some money which I never saw.

FRAUDS!!!!! Stay So I called these people to see if they can come out to see s water heater, the manufacturer was paying this company for its services and I was covered with the warranty. He asked me to LIE to the manufacturer for him!! He wanted me to call the manufacturer back and tell them that he went out to see the water heater and it needs parts replaced even though he hadn't came out to see it. Then I told him,"" so you're asking me to lie to the manufacturer that pays you to come out here to service the water heater and tell them you did come out and my water heater needs parts that you don't even know it needs because you want to ""save a trip"" and on top of that I gotta stay without any hot water for a few more days.... all because you want to save yourself a trip.... a 15min trip"" he continued to say he wasn't gonna take a pointless trip so I said,"" ok. I'll just give the manufacturer a call and let them know how you want me to lie to them so you can overcharge them with two trips and parts that probably arent even needed."" He gasped and I said bye. People! STAY AWAY FROM THESE FRUDS! They're they type who will say everything is wrong when all it needs is a small tiny thing that is cheap to buy.
UPDATE: so another plumber came out to see my water heater and all it needed was to be cleaned out. The loud pop was because one of the hoses were clogged. And This other plumber wanted me to call the manufacturer and order parts that aren't even needed. Again.... RAY BLOM PLUMBING ARE FRAUDS!!!! Beware!!!

Recently installed a new water heater in my home. Great service, very professional. I felt as if they really knew what they were doing!
I would definitely use Ray Blom Plumbing again!!!

I bought an AO Smith 50 gallon hot water heater about two months ago and during this period there has been an occasional loud single ""bang"" or explosion coming from the unit. I contacted AO Smith customer service and they referred me to Ray Blom as an authorized AO Smith repair facility and gave me a labor authorization number since the hot water heater was only 2 months old and was under warranty. Ray responded immediately and would have to order the replacement part which should take a day or so. I gave Ray the model number and serial number of the water heater.
When the replacement burner arrived, Trent, Ray's son, came to replace the defective burner unit. After disconnecting the pilot and gas lines from the burner unit to get accesses to the burner assembly, Trent noticed AO Smith had sent the wrong part. There are evidently two burner configurations; a short version and a long version. I decided to have AO Smith ship the correct burner unit UPS ground instead of next day air at a significant cost savings. The pilot and gas lines of the original unit were hooked up and Trent checked out its operation. Fortunately, there was an explosion again which confirmed the problem, but unfortunately, the ""bang"" or explosion happened when Trent's face was next to the gas control valve. Trent said this is not good and he would locate and drive to get the correct replacement burner unit and not have to wait for a UPS next day air or ground shipment. About two hours later Trent returned with the correct burner, installed it, checked out its operation and everything appeared to be working as it should be.
However, several days later a low frequency vibration occurred when the burner was ignited and it lasted about 40 seconds. It was a strong vibration. It sounded like a ship's fog horn. The low frequency vibration was recorded on a cell phone to document the vibration. We notified Ray Blom about the low frequency vibration problem, and after they spoke to AO Smith technical department, he ordered a replacement bracket to correct vibration. Trent came with an preformed aluminum bracket (1/2"" x 7"" long) sent from AO Smith and taped it in place to support the far end of the burner. Vibration problem appears to be fixed but there still is an occasional vibration lasting about 5 seconds. However, whether the bracket will remain taped for many years is questionable since the high heat from the burner may affect and degrade the adhesive on the tape.
I really appreciate the extra effort Trent made to get the water heater operational the same day and to follow up with AO Smith technical support to fix the vibration problem. As they say, he went the extra mile...it was actually much more than a mile to get the replacement burner. It is hard to find this attitude these days. I offered Trent something to show my appreciation and he smiled and said no thank you. So, Ray Blom is on the top of my list when I need a plumbing service.
