Michelle K.The customer service and response time were very good. However, I was presented with a 526.00 estimate to run a snake from my septic to my toilet. This was AFTER my son pretty much dug up the access lid and that took all of about 10 minutes, and very little effort on the plumbers part. I balked at the price, and paid the nice plumber the $60.00 service fee in order for him to leave. I found another CERTIFIED PLUMBER in my area to perform the same service for less than 250.00. I would just like to know how you would justify charging so much? Should maybe your service personnel have taken into account the easy access to the area and adjusted their estimate accordingly? Still - not a happy camper. Wouldn't recommend.
Tony P.Rapidan was hired to fix a backed up bathtub as a contingency to purchase of our new home. Hired by the seller, they fixed it and gave a 90 day warranty. After closing, we noticed the bathtub was still backing up. When we called Rapidan to come back to again fix the problem (less than 30 days later), they told us they would not honor the warranty.
I contacted this company on 5/13/2016 and requested emergency service. The lady on the phone said no one was available until Saturday 5/14/2016 between 1-4pm. On Saturday, I contacted the company at 3pm just to see when the technician would arrive, and the lady said she didn't have my request on their list. How pathetic! Needless to say I will never call this company again, and will urge family and friends to call a different company.
Steven J.I live in Fredericksburg, VA and recently found my gas water heater was leaking from the Temperature and Pressure (T&P) valve. Called Rapidan Plumbing (http://www.rapidanplumbing.com/) (A+ rated at the BBB) to get an estimate for inspection and repair and was able to get a Saturday morning appointment. The technicians arrived on time, quickly determined the problem and gave me three options to complete repairs. I chose to have them replace a faulty expansion tank and the T&P valve at a cost of $750.00. The repairs were completed in under two hours. Additionally, they alerted me to a potential problem with over pressurizing of the Stafford County Utilities water coming into my house. I have subsequently alerted my HOA about the possible community water-pressure problem. I would highly recommend Rapidan Plumbing for future plumbing needs.
Dominique N.Rapidan plumbing responded to my hot water situation in a timely manner and Caleb was very knowledgeable and professional. They did great work and even showed up earlier than anticipated. The work was a bit expensive But I have warranty on parts and labor.
Marcia R.I called for service this morning for a leak in my basement, but needed an appointment today. My experience with Rapidan Plumbing Inc. was great from the initial service call to them completing my work. Caleb was very professional and did an excellent job explaining what he needed to do in order to repair the leak in my basement foundation. He was really clear with me that he wouldn't perform ANY work unless I approved of it. I'm very thankful they could come out on such short notice and took very good care of me and did everything in a timely efficient manner. I work with vendors everyday in my job and I must say that Rapidan Plumbing sets a high standard for customer service. I have already inquired about pricing for another plumbing job needed at my home and will gladly refer Rapidan Plumbing to family and friends.
Bill R.We have been using Rapidan for more than 5 years. We searched high and low for a honest and knowledgeable plumbing company and are so pleased we found Rapidan. Every technician we have experienced has been fantastic, hard workingn and respectful. Nathan has been to the house the last two times and on the most recent visit, demonstrated he remembered his previous visits and our conversations we had. He was very thorough and quick and explained the problem and his remedy.
I can't recommend this company enough. After 5 years of use, we couldn't be happier.
Unless you want to spend a ton of money I recommend getting some estimates. Ripping people off one at a time for several hundred dollars at once can help anyone afford a new airplane and expand.
My septic pump would not turn on. The technician Shawn showed up at the house and asked to look at the system. My wife, who was home alone, agreed. He went out back and looked at the system. Approximately two hours later, he came back to the house with a bill for 337 dollars for ""troubleshooting"". He claimed there was a wire that had lost contact with the board and that he soldered it for free. So, for 337 dollars I got what amounts to a brand new pump and 2 hours of labor for a simple 30 second fix (if that was even what was wrong). When the tech called me back, I asked why there was a 69.95 charge just for showing up to the house and then a 337 dollar unannounced fee just for troubleshooting the system and he told me thats the way it is. He said if there were any repairs needed it would have been added to the 337 dollars! He makes almost 175 dollars an hour for his labor, according to his math! Technically what he did was probably illegal, performing maintenance on my system without my consent and then charging me an arbitrary amount for it. To top it all off, he quoted a replacement pump for 2500 dollars and a new control box for 1500 dollars, insinuating that this was somehow the amount of money he saved her. He clearly took advantage of a pregnant woman who had no working plumbing.
Don't call them. They came out quoted an astronomical price and then told me I would have to pay a dispatch fee of 49.00. Stay away from them!!!!!
