Rapidan plumbing responded to my hot water situation in a timely manner and Caleb was very knowledgeable and professional. They did great work and even showed up earlier than anticipated. The work was a bit expensive But I have warranty on parts and labor.

I called for service this morning for a leak in my basement, but needed an appointment today. My experience with Rapidan Plumbing Inc. was great from the initial service call to them completing my work. Caleb was very professional and did an excellent job explaining what he needed to do in order to repair the leak in my basement foundation. He was really clear with me that he wouldn't perform ANY work unless I approved of it. I'm very thankful they could come out on such short notice and took very good care of me and did everything in a timely efficient manner. I work with vendors everyday in my job and I must say that Rapidan Plumbing sets a high standard for customer service. I have already inquired about pricing for another plumbing job needed at my home and will gladly refer Rapidan Plumbing to family and friends.

We have been using Rapidan for more than 5 years. We searched high and low for a honest and knowledgeable plumbing company and are so pleased we found Rapidan. Every technician we have experienced has been fantastic, hard workingn and respectful. Nathan has been to the house the last two times and on the most recent visit, demonstrated he remembered his previous visits and our conversations we had. He was very thorough and quick and explained the problem and his remedy.
I can't recommend this company enough. After 5 years of use, we couldn't be happier.

Unless you want to spend a ton of money I recommend getting some estimates. Ripping people off one at a time for several hundred dollars at once can help anyone afford a new airplane and expand.

My septic pump would not turn on. The technician Shawn showed up at the house and asked to look at the system. My wife, who was home alone, agreed. He went out back and looked at the system. Approximately two hours later, he came back to the house with a bill for 337 dollars for ""troubleshooting"". He claimed there was a wire that had lost contact with the board and that he soldered it for free. So, for 337 dollars I got what amounts to a brand new pump and 2 hours of labor for a simple 30 second fix (if that was even what was wrong). When the tech called me back, I asked why there was a 69.95 charge just for showing up to the house and then a 337 dollar unannounced fee just for troubleshooting the system and he told me thats the way it is. He said if there were any repairs needed it would have been added to the 337 dollars! He makes almost 175 dollars an hour for his labor, according to his math! Technically what he did was probably illegal, performing maintenance on my system without my consent and then charging me an arbitrary amount for it. To top it all off, he quoted a replacement pump for 2500 dollars and a new control box for 1500 dollars, insinuating that this was somehow the amount of money he saved her. He clearly took advantage of a pregnant woman who had no working plumbing.

Don't call them. They came out quoted an astronomical price and then told me I would have to pay a dispatch fee of 49.00. Stay away from them!!!!!

Filled out their form online last night and got a call at 8am this morning, was told someone would be out mid morning. Called at 10am for an update and was then told mid afternoon. Called at 1:00 for an update and was told a few more hours. Started looking for someone else to come out and when I called them back to let them know I no longer needed their services, Theresa the lady I had speaking to all day breathed heavily at me with irritation. After I have been waiting all day on my Saturday for them.

After having 2 plumbers come out to my house for a leaking toilet, I decided to give this one a try after seeing that it had a good review on yelp. Yes......all I had was a leaking toilet and it took 3 plumbers to get it fixed.

I called Rapidan and explained the situation to the lady that answered the phone. She was pleasant and patiently listened to me go on and on about my headache.

She indicated that someone would be able to come out the next day. I explained that I wouldn't be home and that I wanted the plumber to call me with an estimate before doing any work. ( Yes, I was scammed the previous 2 times...but at least I can admit it. :)

The plumber called me first thing in the morning and gave me a detailed account of the problem and what was wrong. He was EXTREMELY PROFESSION AND COURTEOUS! (Sadly, it's something that I am far to used to not receiving....remember those days when people used the words ""sir"" and ""maam""....and ""please"" and ""thank you"".)

The price was in line with what I expected to pay and he had the job completed in 45 minutes. The previous plumbers spent hours DOING NOTHING! And this guy had it done in less than an hour.

I will definitely use their services again and highly recommend them.

We called them to deal with a blocked main line.
After 3 hours of trying to snake the pipes the plumber came out to me and said ""Ma'am your sewer is broke."" He was very polite and waived the $50.00 fee for coming out to assess the situation. That said, he did not resolve the problem, charged me $195.00 for taking my toilet off and then hooking it up again (needed to do so to use the snake) and told me I needed a procedure that would cost a minimum of $1,800.00 (possibly as much as $6,900.00) to resolve the problem.

I called a second plumber to take a look and using a method he called ""blowing out"" the pipes the problem was resolved for $350.00.
We will NOT be calling Rapidan again.

had a toilet overflow and leak through the ceiling emergency. The on-call plumber Caleb walked me through trouble shooting which was a simple solution. He said he wanted to save us the $140 emergency service call so I was very grateful for his assistance and knowledge. Should I have an issue again, I will definitely call Rapidan Plumbing!
