Called for an appointment, they did not book it on their end, came home from work and waited 2 hours for nothing. They offered to send someone out at 5 but were going to charge me for """"after 5 pm rates."""" I still need a repair. Im calling anyone else.

Came out and tried to tell me I needed to replace 3 toilets for $500 a piece because they couldn't guarantee the work if they didn't do everything. Never heard more BS in my life. Getting them all fixed for $150. If you go out of business you deserve it

I had several good experiences with rapid rooter in emergency situations but today was just outrageous. I purchased a replacement kitchen faucet that needed install after removal of the fixture with a leak. The technician warned me that the price was $350.00. At first it didn't seem bad but I had been used to emergency pricing. Turns out the technician explained that the job would take 30 minutes. WHOA! On an 8 hour day that would $5600!!! I called the office offering that I would pay 150.00 or would get another plumber who would be happy to be making a rate of $2400/day. The owner explained that they charge by the job, and that he wouldn't budge on the $5600/day rate that my job required. When I told him I would pass if he couldn't be competitive and that I would have no choice but to report on social media, the price gouging exhibited to a returning customer, he quickly threatened me with a lawsuit. I just wanted to give the guy a heads up. Maybe he didn't realize that his rates were completely out of whack. So, I am not sure what customer service manual the owner refers to, but I went ballistic when hearing that my free speech was threatened. I have never quite had this level of nasty service but this company must be VERY successful. They apparently don't care to be competitive nor if they are slammed for price gouging on social media. Buyers beware! You can do a lot better that the $5600/day for an plumber from rapid rooter. No matter how he may respond, getting 300/hour or 2400/day for work is plenty unless you are ripping off customers and likely employees who probably make a small fraction from this greedy owner. UPDATE BASED ON OWNER RESPONSE: The owner of this terrible rip off business apparently has lots of experience with extortion. His familiarity with the subject tells you everything you need to know about his business. I am happy to crap all over your company in public because your prices are the extortion! Needy people with plumbing needs from a company that price gouges. Go get your lawyer, little boy, it will give me motivation to adviseusers of angie's list, home advisor and anyone else who needs to be warned of your ridiculous pricing. And should you think otherwise, I am happy to provide you with the estimates from one other big service like yours and one individual licensed plumber. Both were half what you charged and for anyone wanting to see bills or estimates, I am happy to provide. Meanwhile, go to the Supreme Court, loser, see if you can make progress taking away my freedom of speech! Threaten someone who actually believes your bullying bullshit. You're a little boy, a cry baby and your pricing, in my personal experience, having done due diligence, is not nearly competitive. What I can promise you, is that any further slander or suggestion that I am not telling the truth here will be met with a swift response. And for any of you out there that are reading this, can you imagine the ignorance of a company owner to not wanting to make peace with a regular customer? What a fool!

Both Tracy who answers the telephone and the plumber were professional, I found the company's prices to be extremely high. I had received quotes online to replace my garbage disposal ranging from $100.00 to $240.00. Rapid-Rooter was going charge me $500.00. Rapid-Rooter also charged for a service call of $65.00 which is probably included in the cost of the repair if you use them. So, I went with another company. The other company charged me $200.00, labor and equipment. Again, in my opinion, 500.00 was too high in comparison to other quotes, for a new garbage disposal. Oh, I gave a neighbor the name number of the other guy. So, he got immediately referral. So, too for Rapid-Rooter, they lost a sale.
