Developed a slab leak in our garage. Was referred to Rapid from a friend. Arturo and Ramon were able to find the leak without jack hammering our whole garage, the hole cut was only 12""x12"". I guess Ramon the leak finder has a ton of experience. Price was in our ballpark and the guys were friendly.

This Rapid Plumbing is the WORST company. Very over priced. When they put in our water heater they put in a plastic pan. It is NOT supposed to be plastic and the whole thing melted. They do NOT stand by there work. The water heater only lasted a year and it should be under warranty. Wish I could give them less than 1 star. I can't believe they are still in business.

I hope I am leaving this review on the right page because my experience was so far from what others have experienced.

Backstory: landlord hired an unlicensed, unskilled shady guy to do a sewer line job and bathroom remodel. After living over an open sewer for over a month, the city got involved. The job was so atrocious that the city would not allow any plumber to go under to fix it until restoration services cleaned it all up and it was made safe.

So the landlord, at the requirement of the city,had to use a licensed plumbing company and chose Rapid Plumbing. The team working on my unit consisted of: Jose Galan, Tony, and Chris. These guys came to work on time, and ready to go. They worked non stop and completed the job within five hours of arriving. That to me is insane! They communicated everything that was going to be done and even cleaned up after themselves! What plumbers do that? The city had to come back out to sign off on the job, and the city inspector said the job was perfect, and commended them on a great job. I'm not getting paid for this review and everything I have put in here is the honest truth. I hope my landlord uses this crew from here on out. Not only did the job exceed expectations, but the demeanor of the crew was great, they felt like advocates for us, the tenants. If I have any say in plumbing crews, I will always go back to them.

P.s. The first plumber that came out from Rapid, Arturo, was a really great guy, advocated for the tenants and helped cement our love for this company. Honorable mention to him, and I hope he goes far. His professionalism was outstanding.

Complete swindlers. I'm pretty handy and can do some minor plumbing. Had a pinhole leak I couldn't find in a tight, hard to get to area of the house. John came out, 45 min late mind you, and within 10 min I could tell i knew more than this guy. Het ook 30 min to verify what I had told him when he got there.

He was persistent in pushing me to find the leak but I didn't trust him so I asked him to simply put in a shut off ball valve on the line to stop the leak so I could run water to the rest of the house. He started he said this is usually a $350 job. When I told him it shouldn't be more than $150-$200 at most, the argument (a negotiation is civil) began. He came down of the $350 as I told him than his services weren't needed at that price, but still overpaid unfortunately. Didn't have time to do it myself.

Should have taken about 30-40 min tops. Not only did he take over an hr to do it, the welds were terrible. Total time there - 3 hrs.

Hired another company to come out 3 days later - Charged me $300 total, they found the leak with minimal cutting and drilling, repaired the leak and installed another shut off valve. Total time there - 1hr 25 min.

Won't ever call these clowns again.

I have used RP a few times. This time I called tonight at 6:18p- oh, the plumber will be there in one hour. 3 hours later, they finally found a plumber to do the job, and I cancelled. Horrible service.

After seeing all of these bad reviews, I don't know what to say to add.
They WILL take advantage of elderly and anybody else when they can.

I am surprised that they are still in business after so many unhappy customers.
Their add is big in yellow pages, and they promise 24 hr. service, but actually they show up but don't do the work until next day. Maybe.

Keep away from any offices that they have.

Wish I had looked at Yelp before asking this company to come out. Interested only in ratcheting up the work from a simple root cleaning to a full lining job (factor of 10 in price). Unsatisfactory analysis of situation with single purpose of selling me a solution I neither wanted nor needed. Estimate for $10K work totally absent explanation of work planned. This company gives plumbing outfits a bad name and reputation. Suggest looking for a more decent company to do plumbing work.

DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY!!! I had them out for a clogged sewer line. The guy said it would be $150 so I told him I had a quote of $79 from another co. He said he would do it for $100. After an hour of listening to the cable go through the lines in the house and even up stairs I told them it's not going down the sewer several times, they stopped and said they needed another truck for $350 more. He worked for an hour with a Hydro Jet and said he couldn't get that done. The water went down in the bathtub and toilet so I was happy. NOT SO FAST!! Two days later it's backed up again.This time the guy comes out and in 20 minutes snakes all the way to the street and sends a camera down to show I have 50% blockage do to roots. Had the !st guy done his job I would be out $100 had the 2nd guy done his job I wouldn't have roots. I called the office to complain and talk to rude and uncaring ass named Jose who said I got a "" Deal "" I'm out $450 and have a sewer line half plugged. These people need to be investigated by contractors licenseing board.

Rapid Plumbing in Torrance has been our go-to plumbing service for years. They've installed faucets, a garbage disposal, fixed the water heater, and repaired pipes in the walls and garage. John, a field supervisor, has been our hero. He and his colleagues do a fantastic job. They are on time, efficient, honest, and do outstanding work in the least amount of time. John is amazing as well as personable. I cannot recommend Rapid highly enough. If there were six stars, I would give them six.

Do not use this company. We struck the main pipe that runs from the meter into the house. Called these people and the guy that came out stared at it for awhile and then turned off the water. This was the only worthwhile thing done. It was an eight inch piece of copper pipe that needed to be replaced. He watched us dig up around the pipe and then said he didn't have any copper pipe on his truck. Say what?? Aren't you supposed to come prepared in that fancy truck? Anyway, he had to call his supervisor who showed up in his fancy truck. Supervisor gave me a quote of $750! I uttered an expletive and told them to leave. Then they came back and said $600 was the rock-bottom price. I told them to leave. THEN they came back and asked what I wanted to pay. I told them to leave. They figured that I would do anything to get water service back to my house. I called in favor from a friend who came over, fixed the broken pipe and a leaky faucet in less than 1 hour, Thsi company left me feeling violated and I would never, ever call them again!
