Company gave quote between 6600 and 7400 for main line repair. After quote my wife presented 10% off coupon. They said they would honor. The final bill was 7400, spoke with Alvin who stated that it was taken off price. I'm not convinced.
In the company defense they did what they said they would do. Ralph is fantastic. The crew was great, cleaned up area no complaints. I'm sure they are premium priced but worked looked great. Just issue with quote and discount, felt oily.

I was very happy with the service and the fact that they helped us solve quite a mystery as to what was backing up our pipe-- toilet wax ring flange fell off and went down drainpipe!! With video camera we were able to have section cut out, extract, flange -- away we flow.

Ivan was our plumber for most of the job -- he was FANTASTIC! Thank you Ivan!!! Thank you Alfonso & Albin too!

Was a tad pricey though.

DON'T WASTE YOUR $$$. used 3 times over years. Always disappointed. They DO get out within a couple of hrs. Of your call ( which is why I use them recently) HOWEVER. ...the clog is never totally reaolved. They told me the blockage was from the house to the street. They. ground up roots and flushed. Said they were done. Fee charged was twice as much as estimate. They were aware that inside drains were still clogged. They would not come inside. Without extensive additional fees. Their advice to me was to use hot water. Big deal. Had to call another plumber in order to completely eliminate stoppage.

Had a gas leak. The gas company shut off our gas leaving us without heat/hot water during the cold spell. These guys came out and gave us a quote of 15k to fix the line. We went ahead and after two days of work we came home to find not only no heat but no water. The workman had ""forgotten "" to turn it back on. We made them come back and turn it on. After another day of work, they declared it finished. SoCal gas came out and not only was the leak not fixed, it was 10 times the flow as before. The SoCal gas guy said a pipe had to be wide open to get that kind of flow. Back comes rapid and works another day. Back comes SoCal gas. Still leaking. Rapid foreman suggests replumbing the house. That is, either these guys are incompetent or scammers out to extract as much money as possible. Either way, I strongly advise against using them.

Was very worried when a bib broke and my water went out. Much thanks to Christian from Rapid Plumbing who fixed it in no time. Very satisfied.

Positives: The plumber that responded was very friendly and professional. He was able to resolve my backup problem and then ordered in a video unit to further analyze what went wrong at no additional cost. It was determined that a pipe separated underground and we would need more extensive work to get it fixed. However, without his extra effort with the video, we may not have known that we had a much bigger issue lurking and more damage may have been done. I really appreciated this extra effort.

Negatives: Response time was about an hour and 45 minutes which, for a Sunday, I think is still very good. However the advertisement in the phone-book does say that most responses usually are within an hour. Furthermore I got charged an extra charge for a Sunday call when the phone-book advertisement said they do not charge extra for weekends. For the work they did, however, I felt the price was still reasonable.

We had Rapid plumbing out on a Sunday night to fix a mainline stoppage. The technician worked on it and gave a 2 week warrantee on the work. Five days later it was stopped up again. When we had the same technician out to fix it on warantee, he was very rude and at first said he wasn't going to honor the warantee, and when I told him he had to because it was in writing, he finally agreed but was extremely rude about it. He worked on it again and then took off without even entering the house to be sure it was working again (it wasn't). Had to call out a different plumbing company (Moe plumbing) to do it right. When I contacted the company for a refund they ignored my request so now I'm stuck disputing it through my credit card company.

We were in the process of having our gas meter rotated by the Gas Company and in the process they discovered a gas leak and shut off our gas until it was repaired. I obviously wanted to have this repaired ASAP so I called the plumber that I normally use but he did not do gas line repairs nor did 2 other places that I had called. Finally I found Rapid Plumbing on line and set up an appointment that afternoon. My wife was working at home that day and they showed up and said the leak was in the lines inside the wall behind the dryer. They gave us a quote of approx. $1500 to open the walls and replace the 2 leaking pipes. Although I thought this price was inflated, I was desperate to get the problem fixed so that we could have the gas turned on. When they finished, they claimed there were other leaks somewhere in the house.

They came back the next day and we wound up paying another $800 to do a few small jobs to detect and repair the remaining leak. Then they told us that they would have to replace a significant portion of the remaining lines in the house and quoted us a price between $10,000 and $13,000, depending on the extent of the repairs. While I was suspicious of these guys the day before, I was now convinced that we were being ripped off.

I spoke to my former neighbor who runs an HVAC business and is very honest and knowledgeable. We pressure tested the lines and found a small decrease in pressure over 30 minutes. Using soapy water, we finally found the leak was coming from the valve at the end of the flexible gas line connecting to the stove. The cost of this valve was less than $10. Problem solved!!

In my opinion, they significantly overcharge and are dishonest. They somehow thought that we would automatically fork over more than $10,000 when in fact it was a $10 valve that needed to be replaced. I would not use this company again. I would recommend using Homeadvisor.com, Angie's List or some other site to get a reputable plumber or other service.

These guys are dishonest and liars and prey on the old. DO NOT CALL THEM.

My mother is old and just lost her husband. Her plumbing backed up a few months back. They told her they could not find the clean out and would have to use special jet equipment through the roof to clear the main line. The ran a camera and supposedly found a significant problem with the internal pipes. Two months and $800 later later she had the same back-up problem and they insisted that it would cost $2,000 to fix the internal pipes. They also would not honor a supposed one-year ""warranty"" that they had given her as written on her earlier receipt.

We called a reliable plumber that my husband and I have used for years. There was no problem finding the clean out. It did not require using special jet equipment from the roof. After running a new camera view, there was no broken or bowing pipes within the walls. Our plumber believes Rapid Plumbing did a poor job the first time in order to continue to make money off of the deal.

Avoid Rapid Plumbing like the plague. And the Better Business Bureau shall be hearing from us as well. Of course, these guys will pop up again somewhere else with a new name, but they deserve to be chased down.
