I hired Randy to fix a leaking second-floor shower drain about 2 years ago. Randy removed the old drain and ABS pipe and installed a new drain and ABS pipe. Everything looked good to me and Randy was very nice to work with.
Unfortunately, about 15 months later, the leak reappeared. I tried to contact Randy to have him come back but he was hard to reach. About 6 months ago, I finally got him to reply to a text message where he said he would ""try to squeeze me in"", but that was the last I heard from him.
I had other plumbers in my house for other issues, and each one noticed the still-exposed drain pipes waiting for Randy to fix, and they noticed that the ABS pipes were sealed with a white substance instead of the black ABS cement required by code.
It looks like Randy did the original repair of my drain not to code and has abandoned me when the repair failed. I paid nearly $500 for this fix and am now thinking of filing a complaint with the California State Licensing Board.
I would advise you to avoid using Randyman Plumbing for any work, unless Randy decides to step up and take responsibility for his mistake. If he does, I will update this review.

I moved into a new place. The previous owners must have been seriously disturbed. The first plumber came with my home warranty company and he pulled out disgusting blue paper towels, baby wipes and incredibly, human hair and hair extensions. He couldn't finish the job, and left. Keep in mind that I made the call for plumbing service on Sunday night. I was promised that they would be out on Monday, which turned into Wednesday, which became Thursday btwn 9a-1p, to Thursday at 4:30pm. Let's just say that I had to use my toilets w/o flushing them. Randyman to the rescue! He came out at 0700am because he knew I had to get to work early. In no time at all I heard the delightful sound of water rushing through my pipes again! He was so kind, and didn't charge a lot, and did a really good job of calming my hysteria. Thank God for Randyman!

Our kitchen & bathroom faucets needed to be replaced because they were old and two were leaking.
We decided to buy the faucets ourselves and have Randy install them. He and his assistant were very friendly, down to earth, arrived on time and installed the faucets in a timely manner. Randy also gave us maintenance tips.
When he left he told us to call him should any of the faucets leak and that he'd come back asap.
Well one of the faucets did that evening and he sent his assistant the very next day and thankfully it just needed slight adjusting and tightening.
We'll be calling him again for our future plumbing needs.

I was in need of repairs on my shower and I found Randyman on the Nextdoor app.

I reached out and within the hour received a call back. Randy was friendly and though he was schedule to go out of town that very day, he guided me in troubleshooting a few things over the phone.

He did quote me for a house call upon his return, and his rate was very reasonable.

It's hard to find trustworthy, reliable and friendly people these days in the business, and I can say Randy definitely checked all the boxes.

I highly recommend his services and look forward to working with him in the future!

Randy is great, and very helpful in explaining the problem and the different pathways to resolution. He was upfront with the pricing, came out on a Saturday to ensure the issue wasn't on the supply side (the toilet was leaking) and came back Monday so he didn't have to charge weekend rates.

If it seems like it's hard to find an honest plumber you couldn't go wrong with Randyman Plumbing.

I can't say enough good things! We were having an issue with our toilet and had 2 plumbers from a different company come, and they couldn't figure out the problem. We ended up buying a new toilet and Randy did an excellent job taking out the old toilet and installing the new one. He was extremely thorough but also had it completed extremely quickly! We'll definitely be calling him in the future with any other plumbing issues, and you should do the same!

Easily the best plumber you can find in North County. I had a complex drain issue that required attention as soon as possible and Randy was highly recommended by my in-laws (and I see why!). Scheduling an appointment with him was easy and his inspection of the issue was prompt and to the point. He listened to all the DIY solutions I tried myself and considered them in making a professional decision on what to do, something that many in the profession could have easily disregarded in an attempt to overcharge me.

Before charging me a dime, he broke down in detail exactly what he did, what the cost of material was, what the average cost for the job was, what alternatives other plumbers would do, and why his approach, method, and price was more efficient and fair. What surprised me was that he insisted on keeping me fully involved and informed of every detail and step of the job, something that is not typically expected from other plumbers who ""look, charge, and go.""

Aside from solving the issue in such short time and on such short notice, Randy is set apart from other plumbers for a couple other reasons as well. He was very respectful and patient through the whole experience. He actively listened to my frustrations with the issue and again, took my words for consideration before making further decisions. He was friendly and personable, and pet my dog (with permission of course) while it followed him around the house. He's just genuinely a good guy. Schedule an appointment with him and see for yourself; he's shown his mastery in the trade, and is generally an easy guy to converse with.

I personally wouldn't and couldn't believe a single word of any negative review regarding this man and his business. People have to be hating just to hate, because I would highly recommend Randyman to anyone for any plumbing job in full confidence; the work alone could speak for itself. He's easily the most efficient, honest, and personable plumber you can find in North County.

TLDR/Bottom Line: If you're looking for a go-to plumber, stop scrolling and save the number: this is the guy to call.

I hate to do this but I have Randy 5 months to make good on his word and he didn't. He took advantage of me during Covid and charged 1000.00 to fix a clogged pipe. Turns out the clog was cleared but he didn't complete the job. He left a mess. I think $1000.00 for less than an hour's work is extreme. He scammed me and makes a million excuses. If you are a woman get a second opinion and get in writing exactly what he is going to complete for the quote. He is full of it. The job he did should have cost 150.00.
