RainSoft of NE Iowa delivers exceptional home water treatment solutions and air purification equipment to families in Northeast Iowa. Our clients asked for expanded services, and we responded by launching plumbing services! We can serve as your one-stop shop for every plumbing and water need!

Founded in the early 1980s by Terry Bonik, who was later joined by Rachel, our vice-president, RainSoft of NE Iowa is an licensed RainSoft dealer capable of addressing nearly any air or water quality challenge in your house. Terry Bonik was introduced to RainSoft in St. Cloud, Minnesota in 1977. He bought his initial RainSoft system for his home. Half a year later, Terry started his career at a RainSoft dealership in St. Cloud, MN. Afterward, he relocated to Oelwein, Iowa and secured a role at a RainSoft dealership in Cedar Rapids, IA as a manager of sales. In 1981, Terry opened RainSoft of Oelwein, Inc in Oelwein, IA. Come 2006, RainSoft of Oelwein increased and developed a brand new 6,120 sq. ft. facility in Waterloo, Iowa. This new facility allowed RainSoft of Oelwein, Inc to become known as RainSoft of NE Iowa. The family legacy carried on as Terry welcomed his daughter Rachel as the latest vice president of RainSoft of NE Iowa. In 2016, RainSoft of NE Iowa broadened its service area, now covering the counties of Jackson, Clinton, Scott, and Muscatine.

Rachel Faust joined the company in the year 2006 and has been one of the owners since then. With a childhood steeped in RainSoft, she has known the brand since she was born. She experienced amazing water at home and was shocked by the quality of water when she went to! Rachel attended UNI with plans to obtain a teaching degree, but became interested in entrepreneurship instead. After college, she took on a few roles before deciding to join the family company!

Currently, she carries on the RainSoft of NE Iowa tradition, delivering high-quality products with a Lifetime Warranty along with outstanding customer support! RainSoft of NE Iowa is a community-focused company that prioritizes its community and team members, treating them like close friends.

Rachel has been in a happy marriage since 2008 and has two kids, a son Brayden and a daughter Emma. Interestingly, her son Brayden is now working at RainSoft of NE Iowa in a part-time role assisting in our operations.
