Established in the early 1980s by our founder Terry Bonik, who was later joined by current vice-president Rachel Faust, RainSoft of NE Iowa is an licensed RainSoft dealer ready to solve almost any problem related to water or air quality in your residence. Terry Bonik was exposed to RainSoft in St. Cloud, Minnesota in the late 1970s. He acquired his first RainSoft system for his home. Just six months later, Terry joined the team at a RainSoft dealership in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Afterward, he relocated to Oelwein, IA and worked at a RainSoft dealership in Cedar Rapids, Iowa as a manager of sales. That same year, Terry opened RainSoft of Oelwein, Inc in Oelwein, Iowa. In 2006, RainSoft of Oelwein increased and constructed a new 6,120 sq. ft. location in Waterloo, Iowa. This new facility allowed RainSoft of Oelwein, Inc to become known as RainSoft of NE Iowa. The family business continued as our founder Terry welcomed Rachel as the latest vice president of RainSoft of NE Iowa. Come 2016, RainSoft of NE Iowa extended its service area, now including Jackson, Clinton, Scott, and Muscatine counties.

Rachel became part of the company in 2006 and has become a co-owner since then. Having grown up RainSoft, she has been familiar with the products since birth. She experienced superior water at home and was surprised by the difference in water when she started college! She went to UNI with plans to obtain a teaching degree, but became interested in business instead. Post-graduation, she worked in a few different jobs before deciding to become part of the family operation!

Currently, she continues the RainSoft of NE Iowa tradition, providing top-tier products with a lifetime guarantee along with outstanding customer support! RainSoft of NE Iowa is a small company that values its community and team members, treating them like close friends.

She has been happily married since 2008 and has two children, a boy Brayden and a daughter Emma. In fact, her son Brayden is now part of the team at RainSoft of NE Iowa in a part-time role assisting in our operations.
