Started in 1981 by Terry Bonik, who was later joined by Rachel, our vice-president, RainSoft of NE Iowa is an certified RainSoft dealer ready to solve nearly any air or water quality challenge in your house. Terry Bonik was exposed to RainSoft in St. Cloud, Minnesota in the year 1977. He purchased his first RainSoft system for his home. Six months after that, Terry began working at a RainSoft dealership in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Afterward, he relocated to Oelwein, IA and took a position at a RainSoft dealership in Cedar Rapids, IA as a manager of sales. The same year, Terry launched RainSoft of Oelwein, Inc in Oelwein. In 2006, RainSoft of Oelwein expanded and developed a state-of-the-art 6,120 sq. ft. location in Waterloo. The new site allowed RainSoft of Oelwein, Inc to transition to RainSoft of NE Iowa. The family business continued as Terry welcomed Rachel Faust as the new vice president of RainSoft of NE Iowa. Come 2016, RainSoft of NE Iowa extended its coverage area, now covering the areas of Jackson, Clinton, Scott, and Muscatine.

Rachel joined the company in 2006 and has joined the ownership team since then. With a childhood steeped in RainSoft, she has been familiar with the brand since birth. She enjoyed amazing water at home and was shocked by the quality of water when she attended! Rachel went to UNI with plans to obtain a degree in teaching, but became interested in business instead. Following her studies, she held a few roles before choosing to return to the family operation!

Currently, she continues the legacy of RainSoft of NE Iowa, delivering superior products with a lifetime guarantee along with superior service! RainSoft of NE Iowa is a local company that cares for its customers and employees, treating them like part of the family.

Rachel has been in a happy marriage since 2008 and has two children, a son Brayden and a daughter Emma. In fact, Brayden is now part of the team at RainSoft of NE Iowa on a part-time basis helping out in our shop.
