Company Overview

RainSoft of NE Iowa delivers premium household water purification systems and air filtration systems to residents in Northeast Iowa. Our clients requested more services, and we took action by launching plumbing solutions! Now, we can be your single source for every plumbing and water need!

Started in 1981 by Terry Bonik, who was later joined by Rachel, our vice-president, RainSoft of NE Iowa is an authorized RainSoft dealer equipped to handle virtually any air or water quality challenge in your residence. For instance, if you are experiencing the difficulties of hard water problems, such as dry skin, scale accumulation, and dishes that are not clean, our EC5 softening systems can deliver a steady supply of luxurious soft water throughout your home, and are designed to offer a lifetime of consistent operation with a Lifetime Warranty!

We carry the Ultrefiner II, a advanced reverse osmosis unit that generates up to 50 gallons of fresh, high-quality drinking water each day right from your tap. In addition to the EC5 water conditioner, the Ultrefiner II system is also backed by RainSoft's best-in-class Lifetime Warranty!

Our founder Terry Bonik was introduced to RainSoft in St. Cloud, Minnesota in the late 1970s. He acquired his first RainSoft system for his house. Just six months later, Terry started his career at a RainSoft dealership in St. Cloud. He later relocated to Oelwein, IA and secured a role at a RainSoft dealership in Cedar Rapids as a manager of sales. That same year, Terry established RainSoft of Oelwein, Inc in Oelwein, IA. Come 2006, RainSoft of Oelwein increased and developed a brand new 6,120 square foot building in Waterloo. This new facility allowed RainSoft of Oelwein, Inc to become known as RainSoft of NE Iowa. The family legacy carried on as our founder Terry welcomed Rachel Faust as the new vice president of RainSoft of NE Iowa. By 2016, RainSoft of NE Iowa broadened its service area, now covering the counties of Jackson, Clinton, Scott, and Muscatine.

Rachel Faust joined the company in 2006 and has been one of the owners since then. Having grown up RainSoft, she has been part of the products since her early years. She enjoyed amazing water at home and was surprised by the water quality when she went to! Rachel enrolled at UNI with plans to earn a degree in teaching, but discovered the business world instead. Post-graduation, she worked in a few different jobs before choosing to join the family operation!

Today, she carries on the RainSoft of NE Iowa tradition, delivering top-tier products with a comprehensive warranty along with superior service! RainSoft of NE Iowa is a community-focused company that cares for its community and employees, treating them like family.

Rachel has been married since 2008 and has two children, a boy Brayden and a girl Emma. Interestingly, Brayden is now working at RainSoft of NE Iowa in a part-time role helping out in our shop.
