My scheduled appointment was a 4 hour window in the afternoon on a Thursday to see about getting a new water heater. The plumber phoned near the end of the time window to say he would be late which he was by about 40 minutes. The water heaters they carry are a midline value type. The plumber didn't seem to know anything about their efficiency rating. I had asked for a 40 gallon heater, but the receptionist at Ragsdale said they had a special on 50 gallon heaters and the plumber would have one of each on his truck and would discuss it, but when he got here he didn't bring up anything about the 50 gallon special; maybe this was because I was asking about efficiency and 50 gallons in theory would be less efficient, but I never found out. The price quoted was about $200 higher than I think it should have been, but I wanted the job done so I went ahead with the installation. The plumber was very good at his job. I watched everything he did. He was precise and careful and knew what he was doing. He was careful about not making a mess and cleaning up afterwards. In summary, good reliable work but their prices are a bit on the high side.

the technician came out yesterday and did a service and i ask him about changing the filter and he said he could,nt unless it was a small one.I told him i could not believe that they were to cheap to furnish a filter after i spent 8,000 dollar!!!

I recently requested a Ragsdale plumber to come to my home and give me an estimate to replace one outside faucet that was leaking. The plumber who came to my home quoted me $600.00. SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS. I asked him to repeat that quote and he, again, told me it would be six hundred dollars, but that would include an upgraded faucet, piping, various and sundry other supplies, and a 2-year warranty. I asked him if the faucet was made of gold. I also told him that all I wanted was a basic, (cheapest), faucet available, no piping, no warranty, and that the absolute top price that I was willing to spend would be $200-$250. He had to check with his """"home office."""" After doing so, he said his company could not possibly come anywhere near what I was willing to spend. I told the plumber that $600.00 was out of the question and thanked him for his time. I have never left a poor review on Yelp before...never. However, this outlandish estimate for something so basic and simple has me so flabbergasted that I'm compelled to give them a terrible review. Hopefully, some inexperienced potential customers will not fall for this horrible business practice and end up spending many times more than they should. I will also be sure to let anyone/everyone I encounter know about this so that they do not consider using Ragsdale. Incidentally, since my encounter with Ragsdale, I have had the outside faucet replaced by another plumbing company...for $175.00! Ken (georgiaken9@gmail.com)

Needed service resetting my toilet. Service Tech came out and got right to work. Explaining what he was going to do and needed to do. Never used this plumbing company before, but I will most definitely use them again. Clean and neat. Did not leave a messy area and even used boots when he had to go into walk-in crawl space. I was really impressed by this. I highly recommend this company. The Service Tech was very knowledgeable and courteous.

Everyone I spoke to was courteous and sweet, making an appointment was quick and easy, and my technician arrived in a timely manner (and they called first to let me know he was on his way). I only ended up with a consult but the price was fair for both the visit and the estimates on the work needed and they made sure I didn't get surprised by any costs. Can't ask for much more than that!

Had air conditioner problems over a weekend. There was some confusion in having it addressed that night, but after an very warm sleep, they came first thing in the morning. Decided on a new system and made some changes I had wanted about thermostat placement. The installation was done the next day. They cleaned up after themselved and I haven't seen any damage. Also had my semi annual maintenance done and that double checked the installation and answered the questions I had about the new system. I do have some hesitation about being told the freon had leaked into my house, as another AC tech said that wouldn't happen. And perhaps things could have been fixed rather than replaced. But truth was I wanted a new system. I hope that it helps keep things cooler and warmer when needed. Felt all the people I dealt with were kind, respectful and pleasant. I did not feel taken advantage of. I will continue to use them and probably will have them replace my other system in the future.

I've been with Ragsdale now for about a year, and I highly recommend their work. Not only has every employee I've met or spoken on the phone to been courteous and helpful, but I can't stress to you how efficient our HVAC system is, how well the new hot water heater works, nor now concerned they are with safety and efficiency and going above and beyond in all that they do. First, HVAC. I got estimates and heard spiels from a LOT of companies. Ragsdale was the only company to actually walk my attic and take a look at my intake whatchamacallits (English major--forgive me). The tech, whose name I wish I could remember, suggested a smaller unit than any of the other providers BUT he pointed out the problems with those intake thingies and made fixing them a part of the solution. In less than a week, the house was being heated and cooled far more efficiently and humidity levels were down. Next, I had plumbing problems. For some reason I didn't see the plumbing part and called Ragsdale last. This was my mistake, as I should've called them first. They offered the best deal on a water heater and were straight shooters about the fact that I didn't really a more expensive tankless model based on the size of my house. Also, they had better response times and actually arrived during the window they said they would. Fast forward to the summer. The AC stops on one of the Dog Days which, of course, is a weekend. Even though they couldn't get a tech to us immediately because EVERYONE was having AC troubles, one of their techs talked us through a temporary solution to get the AC running until he could get there. On a Sunday. When they did arrive and found a slight problem with some pipe, they fixed that and all has been good. Now we come to today and the reason why I am FINALLY writing a review for a company I obviously love. Greg came for regularly scheduled HVAC maintenance. I had some concerns about possible carbon monoxide problems. All is well with the furnace which has heated up the room quite smoothly (and did I mention my heating and cooling bills both decreased significantly thanks to the efficiency of our unit? They did). He took the time to test the carbon monoxide levels from our gas logs and discovered we have a gas leak and the little thingamajig to the side of the fireplace. Now, I have to find someone else to address that problem, but I truly appreciate his commitment to my family's safety and at least now I know what the problem IS. To make a long story short (too late) I can say without reservation (a rarity for me) that I would highly recommend Ragsdale to help you with HVAC or plumbing. It's rare these days to find a company so committed to customer service and to doing the job right without upselling you on something you don't need. I only wish Ragsdale could help me with my landscaping and house painting and laundry and, oh, you get the picture.

Great service! They arrive on time and get the job done. Very knowledgeable technicians (Brian) that are very thorough with maintenance. He explained what was causing my air to turn off, water pump drain clogged, & fixed it immediately. I highly recommend Ragsdale Heating and Air.

I just love this company! I had the AC go out right after we moved in to our new home. I called Ragsdale, and they were out there that same day. Michael M. seemed very honest with me and I appreciated it so much! He was also able to get Chris out the same day to show us different Options as far as new units go. Turned out the inspector missed the busted coils and the freon leak. They moved their schedule around to have the AC installed the following day! Really... it was amazing. The guys who installed the unit were very nice and did a wonderful job. Thank you Ragsdale for having amazing employees!

I finally called ragsdale and they provided me with reliable, timely, professional service that I can trust. Everyone that has fixed my various issues has been honest and trustworthy.
