7/31/19 - HVAC system started going out so I sought out 3 quotes. I had used Radiant before on a plumbing issue so reached out to them for one of the quotes. Cory came out within a couple of hours and inspected the system. His diagnosis was what I expected. Ian from sales came out while while Cory was still there. He was able to present a quote for 3 different style of systems. After I compared the him quotes to the others I had already received, it was easy to determine his quote was significantly more affordable and came with had a better guarantee than the others.
Radiant was able to get me on the install schedule within a couple of days. Pretty good considering the time of year.
Abram and John came out this morning. They arrived a few minutes before the quoted time. They got straight to work. They wore shoe covers and laid down protective mats on my wood floors and carpeted stairs. They kept me updated throughout the day as far as progress. Within 6 hours I had a brand new HVAC system up and running. Work areas were clean as if they had never been here. Since a had decided to change out my air filter holder at the last moment, Abram and John did not have one with them. Within an hour, Nick arrived with a new air filter.
Two thumbs up for all the guys from Radiant. Great service.

Beware of using Radiant for plumbing. Their prices are way above anyone else in town and they may try to sell you on unneeded repairs. I had one of their technicians, Marcel, quote me about 15k to repipe part of my sewer line underneath my kitchen. He told me that I had a pipe collapse and I couldn't use any of my toilets until the work was completed, so I should put my deposit down ASAP. Luckily, I decided to get another opinion from a separate company. The other company found a minor clog in that region and repaired it for ~300 with no repiping needed. My problems were completely solved no thanks to Radiant who instead charged me a heavy diagnostic fee and caused me a lot of needless stress. Don't let Radiant exploit your lack of knowledge about plumbing - look elsewhere.

Get a second opinion! Radiant lied and told me my HVAC system was 9.5 years old when it is actually 4.5 years old. Luckily there are other companies out there that actually have a conscience and saved me from being sold a new $8000 system. I ended up only having to pay $800 with another company because the part that needed to be replaced was under warranty. Three separate technicians from Radiant came to my property so this is not a case of one person being shady, this is clearly a common practice for them to rip people off by taking advantage of customers when they are in distress in the summer heat with no AC.

Very expensive and overpriced! The service providers who came out to my location were very nice, with the exception of a few odd comments, but the service was extremely expensive and not particularly worth it. I had to pay hefty fee to have a weekend visit, and then when the provider came out he was here no longer than 10 minutes to tell me on weekends they cannot actually do work on the weekends because they cannot get parts-- which no one told me until AFTER I paid the weekend fee. They scheduled an appointment for the repairs without telling me or confirming, they just set me up for the next available time, and I was then surprised by the appointment. They repaired what they needed to, and after they left I noticed a crack along my toilet bowl which they said was there before even though I had never seen it. And then more issues came up with the same appliances, meaning I had to call yet again for a third visit which they said I would need to pay for despite having pointed out these issues from the beginning. Overall- nice people, terribly expensive and not very diligent.

Called Radiant out to check out why our 5.5yr old unit was frozen over. They determined it was a faulty install and a crappy unit (13SEER) so they told me I could piece-meal parts together to fix it (out of warranty) or do a full AC replacement. We opted for the full replacement for $10k up to a 15.5SEER unit and peace of mind.
The installers were fantastic. Quick, quiet, and finished within 6.5 hours. We have an infant and three dogs, and everyone was on their best behavior because of how quickly and quietly they did their work. SO AMAZING!
They even noticed that I had an issue with my UV light - something that is not apart of the actual AC and alerted me ahead of time so they could take care of it during the install - which gave me full peace of mind they were truly doing great work.
I would highly recommend Radiant to anyone - Ian, Woody, Joe, and the install crew are top-notch! Hopefully, I will never have to see or talk to them again, but if I do, I know we're in good hands.

JOE LODZINSKI is the MAN !!! Talk about a customer obsessed professional - Joe was exceptionally informative, super cordial, & highly effective in educating us on preventive maintenance on our now 5-year old home in Austin. We were so impressed by Joe L., that we signed up for a recurring annual maintenance package from Radiant covering our air conditioner, heater, plumbing, & water heater.People do business with people that they like - Joe L. & Radiant Team you now have a lifetime customer! Let me tell you why you need to skip these guys:
I called with what i thought was a gas valve problem on my water heater. The (sales?) person Radiant sent went around my house measuring water pressure after peeking at the water heater. He gave me several quotes based on the various things that could happen, but bottom line was $777 for a gas valve replacement all the way to $3000-something for total replacement of unit with code upgrades etc. i knew this was too much because i researched it all ahead of time. I paid the $39 come-over-and-look fee, and he left.
I called around and got a service guy to come out from another company with a quote of approx $300. He turned the pilot back on- it did not need ANY work at all. (Radiant didn't even try this - maybe didn't know how(?)). i paid $125. Problem solved. If a total replacement of unit is needed, i have a solid quote of $1200 on unit/labor and $estimate of $500 max on code upgrades (total cost $1700 - not $3000 plus like Radian)
I left a five star for the other company so... maybe use them instead.

I've heard the charming commercials on the radio. We are currently doing a bathroom update and have the tub surround torn out and all hardie board down. With all shower plumbing exposed, we discovered that, in order to change shower trim kits from a Moen to a Delta, we needed to replace the existing shower valve. Not a difficult job. While my spouse could do the work himself, with the trouble it would create if this new valve leaked inside the wall or was done improperly, I wanted a plumber. I also had some interest in saving our time in setting the new tub and reconnecting the tub drain.
I contacted Radiant and they made it out the next day. So very prompt! The technician that came out was very presentable and polite. I knew from other reviews that Radiant might be a little on the pricey side but I was absolutely shocked at the ridiculous quotes I received. They quoted $1,132 to change out the shower valve. Insanity. They quoted to $2,174 if I wanted them to change the shower valve, connect the tub drain and set the tub in concrete. This second quote exceeded half of my entire bathroom remodel budget!
I found a different licensed plumber who came out the following day that changed the shower valve, connected the tub drain and set the tub in concrete for less than a quarter of the price that Radiant quoted. Yes, less than 25% of what Radiant was asking.
Unless the Radiant tech that came to my house was so brand new that he made a mistake in quoting the job, Radiant's pricing is not just "pricey", it is so outrageous that it borders on unethical.

I was looking for a plumber to assess why the pilot light keeps going out on my water heater. I believe it is likely the thermocoupling system b/c the water heater works fine once the unit is running, but has a hard time staying lit. I called Radiant because they boast same-day appointments and had "open availability for the day"...which should have been a clue.
The 2 guys who came out here, between both of them, could not figure out how to even turn my pilot light on. WHAT? Yes. I had to show them how the unit worked. They then offered to do a "comprehensive evaluation of the rest of the plumbing in the house." Um, NO. You are here to look at the *water heater.* They of course tried to upsell me on replacing the whole water heater, which I expected, but is still annoying. When I told them No on that as well, they then told me they had to go to their truck to prepare a "tiered estimate" of pricing for the repairs. Let me emphasize, they did not look at my water heater at all, examine any of the components, or ask any questions--except for what the model number was, which I ALSO had to show them.
They returned 20 or so minutes later with a price for: 1) replacing the entire water heater (which I had already told them I did not want to do); this was over $3k; 2) a quote of $950 to "rebuild the heating elements." I asked why they would do that when none of the parts appeared damaged or corroded in any way--nor had they even looked at them. I was told, "based on the way the water heater sounded, ma'am." Because #mansplaining. THANKS, GENTS! 3) The "piece de resistance", however, was that they offered to just replace the thermocoupling unit (which is actually what I had called them about) for $450--"before taxes." So $500 total. I asked how they could possibly justify that cost when the part (which is a small piece of copper wire) costs between $5-$15. There was no answer for that. I was simply told, "that's our flat rate pricing, ma'am."
Take the "ma'am" out of that equation, and I guarantee I would have been offered a different quote. My X chromosomes do not preclude me doing comparative online research about parts replacements, and I am not a first-time home owner. (Everyone else I've spoken with confirms that this pricing is absolutely ludicrous, BTW.)
I am beyond annoyed that I wasted my afternoon. Meanwhile, my search for a trustworthy plumber continues...:/
And to Radiant--DO NOT EVEN BOTHER responding that you were unable to locate my name in your system, as if to imply this experience never happened. Obviously "Austinite" is not my real name, but my experience was certainly real, and I hope it serves as a warning to others about your shady, overpriced business dealings, which have been substantiated by numerous people on this forum.

Stay away from this company. I hired them to find a leak under slab which was discovered after I had the foundation repair done with another company.I ended up paying $1460. This was as a result of testing 4 sewer line till they found the location of the leak. They also provided an estimate of $12,000 to do the repair. Mind you we are talking about 4 feet of digging to get to the damaged area.
I thought the price for testing was normal for this type of work for Austin area when the plumber explained the process. I could not believe another reputable company would do the same test for $570.00 when I researched it out. I managed to do the repairs with this company for only $5000.00.
I strongly believe I was over charged with Radiant Plumbing & their price are not competitive.
