Larry (the owner) and his team are awesome. Super quick to respond, flexible and overall nice guys. I had a water leak issue in my bathroom pipes and Larry could not have been more helpful. It's not always easy to find a business where the owner takes time to make sure your issue is fixed and follows up afterwards. Highly recommend. Thanks, Larry!

After the other plumber cancelled on me 15 minutes before he was supposed to show up (and me taking a half day off work)- I called R&L and he was able to dispatch someone same day. The guy showed up 2 hours later and was able to unclog the kitchen sink in under a hour (flat hourly rate). I appreciated the promptness of the service and the fact the plumber didn't take his sweet time to charge me more than needed. I'll definitely call them again if needed.

We had multiple vent and drain line issues at our property during the summer. Saul was the estimator and he made sure that he was my point of contact. The R&L team did a GREAT job replacing a broken vent line, a corroded drain line, and relocating and securing a 2nd vent line. They even took the time to clean out a gutter for us while they were replacing the corroded drain line. Multiple repairs that required scaffolding were all coordinated by Saul. Having a single point-of-contact made a potentially difficult process go extremely smoothly. Saul even reduced his bid when upon closer inspection, he found some anticipated work would not be needed. R&L has integrity, professionalism and honesty!

I scheduled an appointment for Monday of last week between 3-6 PM. I had to take time off work, which was very inconvenient, but we needed our garbage disposal fixed. The plumber never showed up, and I never got responses to my text messages about the appointment. I then called them to ask whether the plumber was on his way. They said they ""just found out"" about the appointment, and asked to schedule it another day. I was disappointed because this was another half a day I had to take time off work, but I agreed.

I then called them the day of the appointment to confirm the appointment (because I was taking time off work again, and I wanted to make sure they were actually coming). I called at 11am, confirming that the appointment would be between 12-1pm.

The lady on the phone was extremely rude, and responded with ""Didn't I just talk to you yesterday? Yes, nothing has changed since yesterday."" I hung up and was about to head out to run some errands when the plumber showed up 1.5 hours early, when I could've easily not been home. He stayed for no longer than 5 minutes, but I was charged $149 for the hour.

1 star because of the lack of professionalism, and the extremely steep price.

The only positive is that the plumber who arrived at my apartment was extremely polite and helpful.

Another great review for Cesar, this time with his partner David. The problem: how to stop the bathtub from dripping ....WITHOUT busting up any tiles? One plumber and one contractor said can't be done. Have to replace the tiles, which will cost extra money (upsale?)

(In case you don't what an upsale is, here are two examples: you take your car in for an oil change and the guy says you need new tires, your cars not safe to drive on the street. Or you go to a dentist because you got a cavity, and the dentist says you need all sorts of work or your teeth will fall out. Experts can do this to us.)

So what about plumbers, they're experts too? Yep, they can upsale us, too. So you need to go to someone you can trust, who gets good reviews on Yelp from people like us.

R&L Plumbing are the good guys! They don't mess with you. They sent Cesar out to take a look at my dripping bathtub faucet, and he said I think I can fix it without removing any tiles. Not certain, but let's give it a shot. Get your landlord to shut off the water for an hour or two (post the warning 24 hours in advance) and I will come back and see what I can do. Guess what?

He came back, opened the handles, found he needed some parts (the bathtub was so old, he had to go to a special supplier who has such parts), and then he took off quickly in his truck and came back with the parts in less than an hour, and he fixed the dripping faucet within next 30 minutes. WITHOUT breaking any tiles in the bathroom!

That, my friends, is a five-star job, by a five-star plumber, working for five-star outfit! Highly recommended!
