RB Travis was referred to us by our warranty company. They contacted us right away, and came out in a reasonable amount of time. The service person was professional and knowledgeable, worked quickly, and cleaned up after himself. Since this was covered by a warranty, I am not aware of what their prices are like, but based on our experience with them, we would definitely call them if we had a need.

Main water pipe to the house fractured due to tree roots, RB Travis sent Dominic round and despite the awful location and pipe being buried under massive root system he located all leaks, made repairs, cleaned up. Great job!
Will use again if I ever need a plumber.

I had an Emergency leak that needed attention. I was connected with R.B. Travis Plumbing through our insurance company. I never had used them before. Their Technician ""Dominick"" arrived at the job site promptly at 8:00 A.M. in a new well equipped van. He was extremely friendly and evaluated the job. He got right to work digging up the broken pipe. When he had fully exposed the pipe he showed me the hole and informed me exactly what he will do to repair the pipe. He was extremely knowledgeable and hard working! He fully cleaned, levelled and raked the area! I was extremely impressed with Dominick and knew that I was in good hands! I have recommended RB Travis to my friends and Family! I give them my highest recommendation!

I called RB Travis in somewhat of a panic....guests were coming and all 3 toilets were backing up. Within 2 hours of my call, a technician was at our house. Within 2.5 hours, everything was cleared and all was right with the world (our plumbing anyway).

I've used RB Travis before as we have an issue with tree roots. On each occasion, they have been quick to respond, quick to show up and, quick to get the job done. They have always been courteous and certain to clean up any messes made.

It's good to know exactly who to call....

Wow! I am a very happy and satisfied repeat customer of RB Travis, Inc. I used them 14 years ago and I am very glad to have worked with them again. They remodeled and restored both of my bathrooms by doing a variety of tasks. I was in awe of my remodeled master bathroom after they installed new quartz shower walls, new shower pan and new shower doors. They brought everything in both bathroom to another level. It all looks fantastic!
Overall, they are punctual (they show up when they say they will), reliable, professional and qualified. Their superintendent, Duane who managed and worked on this whole project did a super job. He was thorough, knowledgeable, and patient. Michelle, in the office who I communicated with was very helpful, pleasant, and followed up on a timely fashion. They answered all my questions (which I had a lot of them :)
They did all of the project on schedule from the beginning to the end. They are truly intent in making sure the customer is completely satisfied with their work. I know I am in good hands with this company and this why I am giving them 5 stars. Thanks again Rick!

I have appreciated RB Travis. They have been helping us with a gas line and some electrical work in relation to some backyard work we are having done. They have always showed up when they said they would. Called ahead and have been reasonable and great to work with. Many contracting companies aren't so flexible and I want to shout out to the many times they have had to come to my house and doing so reliably. Thank you.

We had a water temperature issue with 2 of our 3 showers, found out that the regulator needed to be replaces just by speaking with the representative that made our appointment for the next day. They came to our house and did a quick conformation and went to get the parts right then, came back and our problem was fixed in about 2 hours. Awesome, quick service and if I need a plumber in the future I've got their number.

The only issue I had and continue to have is not the fact that their plumber mentioned a $225/hour rate at their first visit (which he did) but that there was no mention of travel time from him or any other of their staff prior to the visit. The invoices for the first visit and the second visit also did not state travel time anywhere. So that part of the story they got wrong. Mistakes happen. I get it. But own it as a business owner, resolve it with your customer and move on and all would have been fine. But instead of having a new loyal customer who had a VERY simple billing question, the owner decided to say; ""I've been in business for 25 years and for you to question my honesty is ridiculous"". And that was before I could barely say two words to him! As a fellow business owner there is no way I would EVER talk to a customer like that. What could possibly be gained from that approach? So by my simple math this is a costly miss for RB Travis. Each of our new studios spends about $35,000 in plumbing contracts. They will have no shot at that with us or other studio owners who will now look to other options for their plumbing needs. There will probably be at least another 10-20 new studios being built in this area alone which could be $700,000 in lost plumbing contracts. Not to mention ongoing maintenance for all of us who have bathrooms and showers. I think the owner thought I was some cheapskate that wanted to haggle over $100 but all I wanted was a transparent explanation of their billing that I was not getting from his staff (and clearly not him). But as he said, some businesses are not meant to work together. If you are considering them for your plumbing needs you might want to consider this customer's experience and think long and hard before using them.

RB purchased and installed a water heater, but would not replace it when it became defective. Appalling.

RB Travis installed a new water heater (WH) in Oct 2017. In Jan 2019, it was blinking 10x (""burner plate needed cleaning""). I called RB and the receptionist looked up my file, said the water heater was 8 years old, and I needed to replace it. After hanging up, I double checked the date of install and called her back and said the WH is just over a year old. The receptionist apparently looked up someone else's file. RB came out to service the 10x blinking light problem. The labor warranty had expired so service charge and labor was $225.00.

Less than two months later at the beginning of March 2019, the water heater is blinking 4x and had to keep re-setting it. I called RB and the receptionist stated they did not warranty the work from January as the blinking lights of 4x (as opposed to 10x) is a ""new"" problem - meaning a new service call and charge. This repair cost $368. So, the water heater chart has 7 more defective blinking light options, and I would be charged a service charge and labor for each time RB comes out for future blinking lights. This could go on indefinitely.

In April 2019, the water heater is now leaking. I called RB and the receptionist Meghan states their labor is out of warranty and they would not be coming out to service. I said, ""I guess I'll call someone else."" Meghan said, ""okay."" Seriously?

After contacting the water heater company directly and obtaining an RA number for the defective water heater (which was still under warranty), I called RB again. I provided the authorization RA number, and asked if they would please come out and replace? Meghan stated they do not replace water heaters. What? They are the original company who purchased and installed it and came out two times to service the blinking lights.

I hung up and found an independent contractor to help me. This contractor said I needed to find out where RB purchased the water heater. I called Meghan back and asked - she gave me the name of Paramont Sales. I asked her why she didn't provide this information to me when I called previously? She apologized. I again asked her why she didn't provide the information? She had nothing to say. Unbelievable.

I am giving RB two stars instead of one only because initially they provided prompt service. However, their service and labor fees, not standing behind their work (""new"" work for a defective water heater), an extremely unhelpful receptionist who provides wrong information or withholds information all made two weeks of navigating on how to get a replacement water heater very cumbersome and frustrating.

As stated before: RB purchased and installed a water heater, but would not replace it when it became defective. Appalling.
