I'm not one to write negative reviews and I'm rarely disappointed... however I had to write this. My kitchen sink was plugged up. No water was going through. Soup was poured down the kitchen sink and that's how the backup occurred. I contacted Purdy Plumbing and Drain and they able to come out the same day. They arrived slightly late of the scheduled appointment time. That's understandable since it is a same day appointment and some things are out of their control. The tech was nice and professional and proceeded to figure out what was wrong. He told me he tried to snake out my problem and it didn't work. What I thought would be simple job appeared to be a bigger job than expected. He said that I needed to have my have my pipes replaced because they were old and that the clog can't be snaked out. To replace the pipes was going to be over $1000 easily. No other alternatives were given. Only way to fix it was to replace the pipes. So for him to try and snake my backup that didn't work was $120. $120 for services that didn't resolve my issue.I then told them I cant proceed with the job of replacing the pipes and just paid the $120. I tried to fix the problem myself by getting a bladder for my hose that cost me $24 and it did the job. I fixed the kitchen drain that was backed up myself. I could have wasted so much money with Purdy Plumbing with my hard earned money. Over $1k to fix the problem with them while I did it myself for $24. Im disappointed in this company. I feel like I was being taken advantage of while vulnerable. They didn't look for my best interest. They just went with what would cost more to solve the problem. Get another opinion from another company before you waste your money.

After the review I was contacted and was told it was a misunderstanding... they refunded my money. It's suppose to be their policy to be at no cost if they do not resolve the problem by snaking it out.

Called Purdy Plumbing after I initally called a 3 star Plumbing company who charged me and could not clear my 2"" clogged line and suggested hydro jetting the line for an outrageous price. Purdy Plumbing from the start with the person who answered the phone to the person she transferred me to, to learn more about the problem I was having, and Andy the Plumber who showed up to do the work were all very courteous and professional. Andy the plumber definitely went the extra mile to get the job done and I was really impressed on how thoroughly he did all the work needed to unclog the 2"" line to the main. First he snaked the pipe many times to 70'or so, but still was backing up. The last time I saw some roots at the end of snake and knew it needed to get Hydro Jetted which he suggested, so I had the line Hydro Jetted which cleared the line and ran the camera to see the unclogged pipe, he tried prior but you couldn't see anything because of the black water. After that he ran the Hydro Jet many times to clean out the pipe as much as possible and ran the camera again to show me the pipe pass the main which was now cleared. The Moral of the story is don't go with a 3 star rated Plumbing service to save money and go with Purdy Plumbing who have a 5 star rating because they actually saved me more money than if I was to go with the original which wanted to charge me 4 times as much for the hydro jetting job and to me Purdy Plumbing truly seem to be honest and professional in there work.

Ryan Purdy and Purdy Plumbing are the best plumbers ever. I have utilized these guys for more than 5 years and have always found them skilled, available timely, professional, friendly, honest, and very fair. I recently used Purdy Plumbing to hydro jet my main line to the street. They were able to get it completed on the same day and thankfully the drains are flowing well now. This experience reminds me again why I will always call these guys for any plumbing issues.

My water pressure was a bit too high, and it felt like my faucet was a fire hydrant when I turned it on sometimes, so I went on Yelp to ask for quotes about installing a water pressure regulator.

Purdy's price was a lot more reasonable than other places, so I got in contact with Ryan, and we set a date, and he said he'd have someone out from 1pm - 2pm.

Haha, yeah right, I've heard that story before. But at 12:57, Chris was there at my door, ready to work.

He briefly looked at my main water line and said he should be able to get it done in an hour.

He said he needed to go back to the truck to get the paperwork and everything so I could pay.

Haha, yeah right, I've heard that story before. This is usually the part when I get presented with a bill with random phantom extra charges. But when Chris came back, it was exactly the price I'd agreed to with Ryan.

Plus Chris was extremely nice and answered all the questions I had about my new pressure regulator.

Absolutely zero complaints - would not hesitate to contact these guys again in the future for any plumbing jobs I might have!

I called Purdy Plumbing after my tenant called with a clog drain on a Sunday evening. He responded to my quote request within an hour. He came right out, even in the dark, and fixed the problem. He was very nice & explained what was going on. It was quick at a reasonable rate.

I will use him again for my next plumbing problem for sure!!

We were looking for a plumber to install a home filtration system. We had a few estimated, but none as friendly or knowledgeable as Chris who was on time for the estimate and installation. Chris was extremely knowledgeable and transparent in explaining the installation. They quoted a fare price and that it will be a 4-5 hours job and got it done within that window. Chris was always friendly and open to making sure you understand everything. Customer service was excellent as well. Highly recommend.

Quick response even during the long thanksgiving weekend. Contacted them through yelp on saturday and got a quick response. And they were the only ones that contacted me back after contacting several others. Ryan did a leak detection inspection and capped the lines for a very reasonable price, had a slab leak. Ryan had on the shoe coverings so he wouldn't dirty your floor. Also very friendly to talk to. So glad he did work on my pipes and didnt complain about the weird configuration the pipes were laid out in the house. Definitely found a go to plumber for other future problems.

First off let me start by saying this is my first review as a newly inducted yelper. I was first introduced to Ryan 5 years ago while i was the General Manager for a movie theater company. The space in which we occupied was rather old and in much need of repair. Like with any building that has some age to it, naturally there were going to be maintenance issues, the most common dealt with were plumbing issues. It was like fighting an uphill battle. We would fix one urinal/toilet, then two more would break down. I used multiple plumbing companies and was always given the run around. Technicians would show up late (if at all) then what got fixed would normally break down a few days later. Naturally they would not want to come back and fix a repair they had just worked on. So one day i gave Ryan a call. He showed up and fixed a couple things for us. He was so polite and helpful. He explained exactly what he was doing and showed me how to prevent certain issues in the future. I am no plumber. Lets make no mistake about that. But Ryan did his absolute best to dumb it down for me. After that day i felt so confident in his work that i gave Ryan our account. He became our go to plumber. Anytime we called, day or night he would show up and resolve any issues we had, and always guaranteed his work for a full year. i referred Purdy plumbing to friends and relatives and they have had 0 complaints. I would recommend Ryan and PURDY plumbing to anyone out there looking for an excellent reliable plumber. The Best out there.
