Had a valve break in the wall of our bathtub/shower. Chris P. from Purdy came out at the scheduled time (actually was a little early if you can believe that!) and was polite and friendly. Chris took a look, quickly and correctly assessed the problem, wrote up an estimate and explained the repair. We accepted the estimate and he went to go get the parts needed from their supplier.

Chris ran into a snag trying to find the parts, they had to be ordered and overnighted from out of state. We had been without water for 3-4 days so Chris came back to the house, came up with a temporary cap on the leaking pipe, and was able to get our water back on to the rest of the house. We really appreciated his hard work trying to find the part and then coming back to do the temporary fix, he didn't have to, but chose to provide that extra step of service.

The following day Chris returned with the parts, performed the plumbing repair, cleaned up (to the point that it looked better after than before he started), and walked me through the completed job.

I would absolutely recommend Purdy Plumbing and will use them again in the future if we need a plumber. I also appreciated the prompt, friendly and responsive office staff I spoke to on the phone. These folks do good work at competitive prices, and go out of their way to take care of their customers.

Chris was prompt to arrive and was short and to the point of what needed to be fixed underneath my kitchen sink. Prior to calling Purdy, I had attempted to unclog my kitchen sink by removing the P-trap and trap extender, only to find that there was an additional extender going to the stub out to the wall. The extender was so brittle that when I re-connected the trap extender pipe it crumbled to pieces. The extender was so corroded that it fused with the iron piping at the stub out. I was unable to back out the lock nut and pull out the extender. Chris was able to get it out, but in the process, accidentally cracked a part of the iron pipe at the stub out. He removed the cracked portion and installed a no-compression extender that made the stub out plastic, as coming out of the wall, and installed a brand new P-trap system. He was so honest that he let me know up front of what happened and that he would fix it on-the-spot without any additional costs. The work was done in about an hour and he offered me a 1 year warranty on the work. Additionally, he quoted me for additional work to re-plumb (remove) an older figure 4 drain assembly and replace it with a more modernized system. The price estimate seemed reasonable. I was satisfied with this experience.

This was my first experience with a plumber other than the big ones (Roto Rooter, Mike Diamond, etc), and I can honestly tell you all that going with the smaller guys has its benefits -honest work and potential cost savings. I would recommend Purdy to folks nearby Fullerton, Placentia, Anaheim and Yorba Linda areas.

We had a leaking problem at kitchen sink for several weeks and a plumber we used to work with was not showing up for 3 weeks. As soon as we called Purdy, we were regret that we didn't call them in the first place.

Chris P., our technician, was most polite, meticulous, proficient technician we ever met. He was a first technician who wears shoe covers in our house (in Asian culture, we don't wear shoes in the house and other plumbers always left their footmarks all over the place.), a first technician who mopped the floor completely after work is done (AMAZING!!! It was so clean, I didn't even have to retouch it.) and a first technician who honestly charge the payment (during the work, he was out for about 20 minutes to get a part and he subtracted that amount of time cost). I wanted to give him some tip, but he politely refuse to take it and said it is his duty to make his customer happy. How can you not loving this guy and his company!!! After this amazing service, I can't think of any other plumber company but Purdy.

I can't say how pleased I am with Chris and Purdy Plumbing. They have come out to my rental property twice for some major issues and Chris was very professional, reliable, fair and honest. Being an out of state landlord, and not there to see them do the work, I needed someone who would really walk me through what they were doing and that I could trust. We recently sold our home and the buyer's inspector said our water heater and garbage disposal had leaks. Chris came out and gave us a free estimate. The cost to repair our water heater was very reasonable, compared to 2 other quotes I got. Also, Chris thoroughly inspected our garbage disposal and found no leaks, so he saved me money there because he was honest about it not needing repairs. He was professional, courteous and even took the time to explain everything he was doing. I would definitely recommend Purdy Plumbing!
