Called another plumber out earlier in the week, told me it would take two hours at 145 an hour. Called bob over to take a look was here in an hour and showed me how to fix the problem myself for 2 bucks. Could not be happier with the service.

I had an appointment to have Bob come out to my property in Rancho Cordova at 930AM. I was 13 mins late because I was driving up from the bay area. He gave me a hard time about that, which is ridiculous because I am paying him for a service and I can most definitely take my business else where. Not good Bob, especially when there are many other plumbing service options in the area.

Bob turned on the water and assessed there is no leak. When I tried to assure him there is one because there is quite a bit of water damage, he offered to go out and buy a part and replace the old piece that he said didn't have a problem. I obviously refused since I didn't know the exact location of the issue. He seemed irritated that I even had him come out, even though it's his job to do so. After he left I decided to take a look at the area of the leak and noticed a very small amount of water was present. He obviously made a mistake in his assessment. So i call him back 3 mins after he left and let him know I discovered the leak and ask if he can buy the part and fix the piece he initially said he would fix for $170. Now Bob tells me this will be his second service visit and he will now charge me $270! I told him I shouldn't be responsible for a mistake he made. And now he starts going off on me for being late and that he doesn't want to deal with me. Seems like a volatile guy, I thanked him and let him know I will take my business elsewhere. Please don't let Bob, make the same mistake he made at my property. He's just looking to rip people off. I don't understand why he has such high reviews, might be friends and family leaving them? It seems like he doesn't know what he is doing, I wouldn't trust him back in my home again. I am a female, who is not familiar with plumbing and I found the leak!

Glad I didn't go with Bob because I found another contractor to fix the leak and replace the part as well as; copper piping, replace the sheet rock and texture the wall for $200!! :-)

Once again, Bob shows why he is so good. I called him frustrated (on a Friday evening no less) that a garbage disposal that he had installed had literally fallen off. He calmly walked me through how to re-attach it and offered to swing by and do it if I was unable to. Thankfully, I was able to do it! Oh - and it had fallen off in the first place due to an disposal issue - not a plumbing install issue. Prudent Plumbing is first rate.

We had an issue with our dishwasher overflow. Bob was not able to get to us the same day so he referred us to his son Kyle. Kyle walked us through our issue over the phone at no charge. We will definitely be calling them again for future plumbing needs.

I looked up plumbers here on yelp and this one was close, still open, and has great reviews so my husband called them. Our toilets would gurgle and drain every time something else was draining (ie: dishwasher, shower, washing machine) my hubby did a little investigating and found that the pipe in our front yard was clogged and over flowing. Yuck! I can't remember what he called the pipe but it's connected directly to both toilets and sticking up out of the ground with a little lid on it. You can imagine what was coming out of it. Anyways, Bob answered right away and said he sends his son Kyle for those kinds of jobs. We called Kyle and he was at our house in a half an hour. He was very friendly and explained to my husband everything that was going on and even how to fix it ourselves in the future if we want to. He made quick work of a dirty job and assured us that the problem was just a simple fix and not a much bigger issue as we had feared. He also let us know that his work is guaranteed for a month and said to call him with any additional issues.

I called prudent plumbing after looking at yelp for plumbers. Talked to bob and schedule an appt. he showed up on time, fixed what has wrong, and charged me the price he quoted me. I know who I'll call again if I have any plumbing issues!

Bob is a great plumber and an even better human being. He quickly responded to my call to install a new kitchen faucet and fix a few serious under-sink leaks. Bob quickly identified the leaks and installed the appropriate parts. When another leak popped up a week later, Bob came back out and told me exactly how to fix the problem myself for no charge. Bob's skill and dedication to great customer service will earn my repeat business. You should definitely give him a call the next time you need help with your plumbing.

Really great service! I always look for businesses that are owner operated because I believe they have more pride in their business! This is another case that proves my point! I had an old worn out water heater tank and Bob was here in a few hours and did a great job for a great price!! Thanks Bob and we will use Prudent Plumbing again!!!

We called on a Saturday planning to make an appointment for Monday. We talked to Kyle and were surprised that the cost would be the same for weekdays versus the weekend. He came within a couple of hours.He quoted a price and that is exactly what he charged us even though he looked at an additional problem we had and the original issue was more complicated then expected. I would recommend him very highly

I have called on Prudent Plumbing twice in the past 6 months. The first call in January was to investigate a potential leak in my water main. Bob was able to determine in a very short time that there was no leak and that the source of the leak was a faulty value in my neighbor's watering system migrating into my yard. He did not even charge me for the trip to Carmichael.

The second time was last week to change out some ancient values in my outdoor plumbing and the main turn off valve to my house. He also corrected an installation error made when my hot water heater was installed and the installer would not correct.
Bob was very efficient and finished the entire job in less than an hour for a very reasonable price.

He could have charged thousands of dollars for these services but was very honest and efficient and charged me only for the parts and time.

Bob is now my ONLY plumber.
