Alex & Chris came by to replace pipes in my basement for the sink & washing machine. This is the 2nd job they've done for me (first one was perfect, no leaks, it was an ""emergency"" call -- they were there within 2 hours on a Friday evening), and once again they did great work on a Friday (this time with an appointment). On time, did the job, had good suggestions for making things better, and pleasant/eccentric personalities. Plumbers are always expensive, but I thought it was ""reasonable"" when compared to other quotes I received. Will call ProLine again.

Do not use this company!!! I would give negative stars if I could. This company came out to install a new sump pump in my crawl space back in July. Long story short, they purchased low level equipment and installed it poorly. Three months later I had to have them come back out to ""fix"" the sump pump. Again, they did poor work and my crawl space is now covered in 1-2 feet of standing water. A different plumbing company has been out to evaluate my situation. Their plumber said nothing Proline installed in my crawl space is up to code. I am having to have a restoration company come out to make my crawl space workable so this new plumbing company can come to my property, rip everything out that Proline installed and start over. I have spent a lot of money with this company and I plan on filing a complaint.

Tyrone Miles came to my house to investigate a leak in the basement. He cut two holes into my ceiling then said that the leak was due to the tiling in the upstairs bathroom. Obviously, he did not look close enough because there was a huge hole in the pipe that was exposed as a result of him cutting the sheetrock out. I had to have another plumber come out to do the repairs. I will not use this company nor would I ever recommend them to anyone else.

Buyer beware! I do not recommend Proline plumbing for two reasons. 1. $125 for an estimate that took 10-15 minutes is unreasonable. 2. The quote I received off of that visit was nearly twice as much as I received from another service or online research. I contacted Proline to work through this with them and they declined to refund my money or revise the quote.

First - I knew and agreed to the $125 but expected a thorough evaluation of my pressure regulator valve. From talking to other plumbers these valves typically last 10+ years but can run into issues ahead of that time (mine is 4.5 years old). Proline simply looked at the valve and said its internals were bad. After I went elsewhere they walked me through a simple adjustment (I did it myself) solving my issue. ProLine said this is a temporary fix and I will update this review if that turns out to be the case.

Assuming it is bad seemed lazy and not worth the $125 fee. I called and asked for a refund after explaining my challenges with the service I had received. A partial refund would have been acceptable given they did come out but it was a polite no.

As a side bar I was told I would be contacted the next day after my initial complaint was filed with ProLine. I had to call back twice, giving 48 hours between calls, to get an answer. Again, doesn't feel like the customer matters much here.

Second - I received a quote to replace the valve that was over $900 plus another $200 to install an emergency shut off! The range I had found online was $200-$500 max! The second service I spoke with quoted me at $200 + parts! This is simply unacceptable and is ethically questionable at best.

I asked for someone to help install a hands-free motion sensor faucet in our in home daycare bathroom and they were unable to help us. I do not think it was fair that they charged us $135 and were only in our home less than 2 minutes and did nothing. I was told that a manager would call me to discuss the fee and was hoping to at least get credit for future service but nobody called me. The technicians were rude and said that our home (which was built in the 70s) was too old and not worth it to invest a new sink that would be compatible with the type of faucet we wanted. We are trying to help prevent the spread of illnesses in children by upgrading our hand washing routines. Proline plumbing was not helpful at all and their customer service was very insufficient. I would not recommend their service to anyone and will be taking my business elsewhere.

Nobody mentioned anything about a cover plate. I would have loved some estimates and/or help ordering the correct parts. Your technicians were in my house for less than 2 minutes and seemed in a hurry to get their money and get out. I don't know what is compatible and it doesn't make sense to keep guessing and ordering parts then paying for someone to tell me it's still not compatible. I am prepared to pay whatever it takes to make hand washing more efficient for my business. I get several thousand dollars each year from the Department of Early Learning to enhance the quality of care for my clients. I will be searching elsewhere for a plumbing service who cares about helping their clients. It's too bad you weren't more helpful sooner and actually returned my calls. I'm part of an association and could have possibly sent referrals from other childcare businesses. Maybe I should have asked my colleagues for a referral before starting this project.

Tony made a late night call for a pressure valve problem with the hot water heater. Fixed and performed other needed services next day. Very pleased.

Negative stars. My water heater developed ebola and leaked a ton of gas into my house the wee hours of the 4th of July. Emergency gas guys, blahblahblah, and finally my home warranty co. dispatched Proline. (PS, one of the NW Nat gas guys was a former water heater installer and posited it wasn't a big deal to switch the existing heater out.) Anyhoo, the Proline tech came out and told me a standard tank (like the one in the back of his truck) wouldn't fit under the house to replace the old tank, that I required a ""specialty item"" which would have to be ordered. He said he'd submit the report to his office in the morning with the hopes that I could have a new water heater by the end of the day. I have house guests this weekend so this couldn't have happened at a worse time.

Long story short, the tech did NOT make his report to his company until the end of the day yesterday (after 5 calls from me and 5 from my warranty company. The warranty company tried to but couldn't approve it because Proline had added on charges for crap so the bid was double the cost of a water heater replacement. Proline also tried to tell me that my only option was a tankless system, that there was no way to fit a new water heater in place of the old one - AND said they couldn't remove the old one without ""modifying the door so it goes through."" I'm like ""dude, they didn't build the house around the water heater.......you can remove the old one the same was it went in."" I also told him the warranty company isn't going to pay to upgrade my water heater and I can't afford to pay for some big tankless system...... and why the heck couldn't you have delivered this - or ANY - info early in the day!

This morning, day #3 of no hot water, Proline finally downgrades their bid so the warranty company could approve it - they called me and.....they can't get a new water heater in until Monday. That's 5 days without warm water, 5 days of dishes, cleaning, bathing, etc. with pots of boiled water!

Proline clearly tried to fleece me (you can't have a standard water heater-you need a tankless system, your old one won't fit without us modifying the doorway, charging double to the warranty company), so now they're going to drag their feet to even get me a water heater (they miraculously just found a company that makes the right size.....STANDARD SIZE). Ridiculous and really, really stupid. This isn't my only review, I've just gotten started. The warranty company is taking steps too.

If you've read through this, you understand: do NOT use this company for any reason. DO NOT go through what I'm having to.

Here's the deal Lisa
Your technicians didn't even step into our house.
And they said they were certified to look at septic systems when I called for emergency services.

But even bigger issue, why wouldn't your managers call me back? Three messages no call back. Obviously they have their money and don't care.

Completely unprofessional. After having bad experience with one plumber, Tony, the next time they sent a better one who was competent. A third visit was scheduled and Tony shows up after my specific request he never come to our home again. We had been without toilets, showers etc for a week by this time. He does little except calls another company for pump out. I pay that company. I call his boss, who says he's on the road will call me back in the morning. He doesn't call me. Tony does. He says he's done $ 4,500 plumbing so far and to finish the job, $ 13,000. See complaint with Better Business Bureau , guess what they are NOT registered.
