First off let me just say I am definitely not the easiest guy to work with. This last week my wife and I were notified by the city that there was suspected leak in our house. So we decided to call a plumbing company (different plumbing company) to come out and check it out. Right off the bat the plumbing company says there is a slab leak. So, instinctively you would think that the plumber would fix it right there and then, but instead they just shut off the water and said they would have to come back later. This should of raised a red flag however it didn't. I took off work for the next four days to try and resolve the issue with this other plumbing company which lead to cutting holes in my drywall in wrong areas. Also I forgot to mention that this other plumbing company came at odd times of the day, one day at like 9pm and another time at 1230 in the morning. I decided it was time for change of plumber and that's when i talked to Mike with Proactive Plumbing. He came out to my house the moment he hung up the phone and started troubleshooting as soon as he got there. Mike wasn't pressuring at all and said if we wanted him to finish the job then we will do it right then and there. Of course I agreed and he was held his word. He found the leak by guru leak testing methods, re-routed, and isolated the leak from the house. I was dumbfounded because what one company couldn't do in four days he did in one. Now, on to the second issue which had to be pushed to another day due to I didn't even have an appointment to begin with. So, I was thinking damn now I have to wait another week before we can fix the second issue. Nope, Mike set up an appointment to accommodate with my schedule for the following day with Miles. Miles is another awesome plumber with Proactive Plumbing who explained the whole process of rerouting and live and dead lines ""plumbing terminology"". Now to paint a picture, I am one of those guys that calls all the time, follows you every where, critiques, and asks a lot of questions. Both Mike and Miles endured that and just that right there deserves a 5 star review. If I could I would give them a 10 star review 5 for Mike and 5 for Miles. For those who are also first time homeowners and are looking for a plumber this is the company for you. Good price, great service, and in a timely manner should honestly be there motto.

Last week, in the middle of a crazy week, we had a toilet flood from upstairs down to our kitchen (my son was trying to see how much toilet paper he could flush!). Miles was able to come out within an hour and fix the clog quickly. He also cleaned up the mess upstairs caused from the toilet overflow without me even asking. He was so nice and personable and made my very difficult day much better. He told me the cost over the phone before he came and stuck to it (very reasonable). I highly recommend and will never call another company for my plumbing needs.

I am disappointed to write this review because I had such high hopes. After having them come to my house and quote a bathroom remodel (they seemed great), they just disappeared. I am not sure if they are still in business or if something has happened to them.

When I did not receive the formal quote they promised within 24 hours, I waited another week before calling to confirm that they had the correct contact information. The person I spoke with confirmed they did and that I should receive an email by the end of the day. I did not and that was the last time I was able to reach a person via any contact method (4+ weeks ago).

Over the next 3 weeks, I called, emailed, and used their online form to try to reach them. All to no avail. At this point their phone goes directly to a voicemail that is full and I have not received a response from any of the 3 emails I have sent.

At this point, I have given up hope that I will hear from them,, and am just wondering if something happened to the owner.

Amazing service! Didn't realize they were closed on Saturday when I called for a kitchen sink plug. Called and they were at the house in Escondido within an hour and a half. Friendly and communicated every step along the way what needed to be done and why. We just moved to the area and were completely happy with the service and pricing. Would highly recommend! Will use again if needed in the future.

I hardly ever post reviews but thought this warranted one due to the poor experience I encountered with this company during an emergency. Several days ago, two toilets did not work properly, one of them flooded the bathroom and hallway. I had to shut off the main water valve to the house since using any of the toilets in the house caused more leaks. I called Mark and he sent another guy (I think Steve) to come out in the evening. We have septic and, unfortunately, no cleanout, so the job might be more challenging for a plumber. 'Steve' spent around 20 minutes and came up with nothing. He was apprehensive to take out the toilet in the flooded bathroom in case it would cause more flooding?? (Hmm..but he is a plumber and plumbers do take out toilets.) He blamed the septic system and said that something must be wrong somewhere down the hill (I told him we fixed our septic less than a year ago). I asked him what are we supposed to do and his response was to go to a hotel! (Hmm..another strange response.) After he was gone (glad that he did not charge me), I called JJ Septic and was asked a few questions and it was determined that the situation was not a septic problem. He gave me the plumbing company name that they use and I called them. Willy came after 10:00 pm and did not hesitate to remove the toilet. He found the problem and cleaned out the pipe that was clogging up the system. After about a little more than an hour, he was done and everything was back to normal!

Recently I had a slab leak and chose Proactive Plumbing primarily because of the many very positive reviews I read of this company. The company and the master plumbers, particularly Miles, are simply outstanding in detecting issues, counseling as to the various alternatives in work to be done , honesty, repairing, and to do the above quickly and VERY economically. Miles never tried to sell me on any additional elective plumbing work, although he did counseling me on potential plumbing problems. So, the slab leak issue was resolved by rerouting both the hot and cold lines from the slab to above the ground. Miles did a super job, using copper pipes, and minimizing cutting through the drywall. I was very surprised as to how inexpensively this project came to be. Further, he gave me a price ahead of the work, not an estimate. At the conclusion of his work to be done, the amount owed was the amount he had quoted. In other words, no unexpected addition costs. I'm a very happy customer and simply highly recommend Proactive Plumbing should a reader be in need of plumbing services. David

I was so happy with Proactive! I moved into a new house and was a little shocked at my water bill. They were able to install two low-flow toilets for me. Really nice quality. And the plumber really knew his stuff. No muss,no fuss, worked efficiently and left me with a clean space. He was very friendly and communicated well. Would definitely use this company again.
