On a Friday afternoon, I realized that I had a old flex pipe leaking from my new hot water heater. I live in a mobile home so the dripping sound was very audible. I called 6 plumbers and was told that I'd have to wait until Monday, or sometime next week.

I was so pleased that Miles from Proactive Plumbing could come over within the hour. Fortunately, it was a easy repair and the charge was reasonable. Miles was very efficient, pleasant and professional. I'll definitely call them in the future, should I have more plumbing issues.

This place is the best! I work at a medical office. And both of our toilets got clogged at the same time on Friday at 5pm! We tried calling so many places around Escondido area. All of the places we called would charge extra for coming after hours. However, this place got here in 30mins and no extra fee. The estimate that we got from another place previously was around $800 (stating that something was wrong with the pipes) and he fixed both toilets for only $140! This would be our go to guy from now on.

I had a problem at my business with a leak in the underground sprinkler system right in the front where all my clients come and go. The leak was severe enough that it was flooding the landscape bed and valve box. I decided to call Proactive Plumbing due to their exceptional reviews on Yelp......still scratching my head over that. I'm not sure if I dealt with the wrong person at Proactive or my job was that much worse than anything else. They came out the next day, looked at it, and left....yes, left. Told me that I had to have someone remove a couple of plants from the bed so that they could more easily get to the issue.....sure, they aren't paying the water bill or risking being fined for wasting water during a drought.

It took me a couple of days to get a hold of my landscaper to have him take out the two plants (took him about five minutes) and he didn't even charge me anything for it. So I called Proactive back and it took another day before he came out. I offered to use my own equipment to suck out the excess water in order to make his job easier. Long story short, they found the leak and they fixed it (at least that one), and it took him about three or four hours to dig down to it and fix it, but even though it was repaired, I think that paying ANYONE more than $200/hour is not exactly what I would call a fair price. They did a very messy job back filling the hole and left the front of my business a mess AND I called a few days later to tell them that it appeared that there was still a small leak coming from somewhere in the same vicinity. The same guy came out, looked at it and basically said, ""it's not the one that I repaired"", gave me the name of another leak detection company and told me to call him back (yeah, right) after they had found this ""other"" leak.

UPDATE:

So I've revised my review since Mike called and came out. He was very professional and very concerned about the fact that I was upset about his company. I'm not totally convinced that he understood my concerns, so I only bumped it up to 3 stars, but I was impressed that he came out and cared enough to talk to me about it. I still have a leak, but it is totally unrelated to the leak that his plumber fixed. He offered me a partial refund so I could hire a leak detection company to come back out to see if we could find this other leak, and that was definitely the act of a business owner who cares about his customers, and I do appreciate it.

Mike to the rescue again! I thought I had a washing machine leak but after the washing machine repairman said it was fine we determined there was a leak in the wall. Called proactive plumbing, and Mike was here within two hours and had my leak identified and repaired in less than an hour! The price was fair, and the work was good. I would call again in a heartbeat! !

If you need a plumber, don't hesitate to call Proactive Plumbing! Punctual, very knowledgeable, comprehensive, fair, reasonably priced, etc etc. All the things you would want a plumber to be, these guys are by far. Mike is awesome and really cares about the customer giving advice about what does and does not need to be done - never up-selling or quoting unnecessary work. I had a leaking wall stop valve and decided to change them all out (most had never been changed since the house was built). He made quick work of it with no leaks and no issues. Even went as far as to tell me how to be really proactive and keep the sediment out of the valves! Everyone needs a plumber at some point - keep their number close! Thanks proactive plumbing!

Found a wet stain in my garage ceiling and called Proactive Plumbing based on their reviews here. I've had a few different plumbing companies out to the house over the years and never been that satisfied with any of them; they were either too expensive or tried to upsell rather than focus on the job at hand. Proactive came out the next day and took care of a small leak in one of my copper pipes (gotta love modern construction techniques these days). Mike was very professional, courteous, called ahead of time to schedule an earlier appt, etc. He also fixed another problem I had been having with an outdoor hose spigot. Couldn't be happier with the quality of work and value this company provides. They definitely live up to their outstanding yelp review scores!

Service is all any company has to offer- theirs is above and beyond. I will never call anyone else for plumbing issues-very,very pleased with service and price. Need to clone them for other household things.
