Recommended Customer Reviews

This company is full of it. They tried to sell us a whole new unit for well over $4,000.00 dollars. Had the unit check by another company and it was only 1,000.00 dollars. Be very careful with these guys.

PRO-TECH IS A RIP OFF COMPANY!!! After Hurricane Milton our HVAC stopped working. Since they installed it in 2009, we called to have them service it. Rather than making ANY EFFORTS to repair our system Ricardo informed us that the entire system needed to be replaced at a $13000 cost!!! Well, I have always believed in getting a 2nd opinion. A neighbor recommended Artic Air so I called them. They came the next day. Artic Air's mechanic, Will, checked all the same components and stated that nothing was wrong at all!!! Then, he only charged us $115 for the service call thus saving us thousands of dollars.

If you ever need AC repairs I DO NOT recommend pro-tech heating and air, they are blaming me for there screw up a year ago and there telling me I should of called sooner to get it repaired, I asked the manager why would I call sooner if nothing is wrong? She's like """"oh well"""" it's $1100!!! You can imagine what I told her to do with that money

The photos speak for themselves honestly, but here we go. I hired Pro-Tech to install an HVAC package unit on my house this summer after a 15-year old 3.5-ton Lennox one finally gave out. I paid over $13,000 to have a 3-ton Daikin one installed in its place. No ducts were replaced. 1. Pro-tech damaged the side of my house (and the new unit) while swapping out the units by wedging it between the house and the hedge. I would have been happy to trim the hedge to clear the path, but I was given no heads up that I would need to do so. I honestly can't fully blame the install team for this. Pro-tech management should have made it clear what would be needed for this to be avoided. 2. The seals to the unit broke within a week. I do not think they were attached correctly. They appeared to just be smothered in Mastic sealant. 3. The dog-house that was installed was too large for the unit and had huge gaps along the side between the unit and the house. Pro-tech kept saying they would send someone out to fix the installation and but an appointment was never made. 4. Getting in contact with a manager through their customer service line was impossible. """"We'll have a manager reach out."""" """"The salesman will call you soon."""" I never got a reply in either situation and had to call the general manager directly. 5. Pro-tech didn't try pulling a permit until two days after the installation, and in doing so they sent the email to the wrong email address. I had to call the Orange County permitting office and ask if one had been pulled. It had not been pulled. I then had to speak with customer service again to see what was going on. Eventually I spoke with Lorenzo, the general manager, directly over the phone. His initial offer for making it right was fixing the install the next morning. I said I'm not paying $13k for this installation even if it is fixed. He offered another year on the warranty, which I said no to. He finally offered a $2,500 partial refund, which I also said no to after speaking with my father who worked in construction for 30+ years. I am a very patient person. I gave Pro-tech so many opportunities to hear me out to make things right because I didn't want to be writing this review, in the end Lorenzo said I was being """"unreasonable"""". I tried explaining to Lorenzo that I have had to be the one managing their installation process as the customer. Calling to make sure things get fixed. Calling to ensure the permits are actually pulled. Taking PTO from my own work, canceling my own meetings at work, staying in a hotel, etc. In the end we could not reach an agreement and I asked for a complete and total refund of the system because I had zero confidence in Pro-tech's ability to make this right and I felt disrespected as a customer. The one positive is the help I received from the two maintenance technicians, Victor and Ray. Both were friendly and genuinely tried to help me in the situation.

This company is a complete rip off. They know you need help and they take full advantage of that and charge you astronomical amounts and then do a half ass job. For clogged pipes, he charged us $1200 to use a pressure hose to clear the pipes, which caused human waste and other stuff I never want to see again, back up and into our home. He said we were on our own about cleaning it. 2 days later we are clogged again and he said he would come out again for another $1700 ( he said he normally charges $3000+). Called another company and they came out right away and didn't use pressure but a drain snake with a bit and cleared the blockage with that for less than $700. Pro Tech wanted almost $3000 for what this guy did and didn't leave us with a giant mess too. Oh and the guy from the second company said if they use pressure to clean a pipe they seal off all the holes in the house. Don't use Pro tech.

Called to get information on a warranty replacement. They said they don't do warranty replacements even though they are on the Rheem companies preferred vendor list. A few hours later I got a call saying they are on the way to replace my water heater. I reminded them they said they don't do warranty replacements. They said there was a mix up but I have to pay over $1,100 JUST in labor. I told them they are embarrassingly overpriced as I got the water heater with labor from another vendor for $900. I told them to delete my contact info as I'm not and never will be a client. Another hour later, got a text saying the tech is on the way. Do not waste your money or time.

Simple """"slow"""" drain small bathroom sink. Used shop vac maybe 30 minute total job. Charged staggering $289 Caused damage to sink and pedestal. Never ever use them again.

This has been miserable. We bought over a year ago. Total nightmare, we paid $20,000 for this piece of crap. """"Nothing runs like a Trane"""". I'm being completely honest. I have been nothing but suckered on this BS. I'm ripping the damn system out, defaulting on my loan and screw these a-holes. My wife is home alone and has medical issues. She can't take this. I also have two Siberian Huskies they can't survive like this. I've paid way too much for nothing but bullshit. Don't do pro-tech and don't do Trane. What an f'ing nightmare. Kiss my a$$ pro-tech. You haven't supported at all and only wasted my time and money. I'll be getting help and replacing this piece of crap.

I had Pro-Tech HVAC once again come in to work on my Trane AC in my condo apartment in 2022. I tried to delay paying them for my annual maintenance, but my """"float valve"""" kept shutting off the AC, so on August 2nd, 2022, I called them, and they showed up early on August 4th, 2022. They were amazing, as always. Their tech (I forgot his name - Jay something) was great, and cleared the lines, and checked the compressor on my roof. Many people say """" oh - Pro-Tech - they are so expensive"""" - I really don't care. I am not rich, but I know that when you hire QUALITY PEOPLE instead of loser discount people - you get what you pay for. And Pro-Tech is ALL quality. They are amazing. I am freezing right now, because of ProTech in the middle of 95 degree weather in Florida. They NEVER make mistakes. They are great, and they are worth every penny. For the morons that say """"I could have paid 50 dollars less"""" - then you get 50 dollars less, and your HVAC breaks in a few months, and then you pay all over again (or write a bad review about that company). You hire the best - and you get the best - and Pro-Tech is the best

Marvin is the best! He stopped by to help our business with the AC & took time to help us fix an interior issue as well. He was super kind & hardworking! Would recommend.
