Family-owned since 2008, Pro-Tec Plumbing has developed a strong presence as the premier home and business plumbing and air-conditioning service. We provide high-quality services for residences, commercial clients, and new builds. We promise quality and deliver peace of mind. We at Pro-Tec always focus on the customer, promising the quality of our craftsmanship and delivering peace of mind with all our work.

Our lead plumber Richard Hume founded Pro-Tec Plumbing, Inc. in 2008 with some tools and boxes of fittings from the back of his vehicle. Like any great entrepreneur, he committed himself day and night, passing out flyers to find new customers and leads. Despite a difficult downturn in 2009, Pro-Tec Plumbing endured; each year, we expanded our offerings by adding new employees, trucks, and resources to the company. Having steadily grown over the years, Pro-Tec Plumbing, Inc. has evolved -- we are now Pro-Tec Plumbing, Water & Gas, a comprehensive water system provider. What began as a solo operation is now a thriving company with over 50 team members. Though we remain grow, Rick's original promise remains the foundation of Pro-Tec: develop a business centered on hard work and honesty and ensure the quality of work we would desire in our own houses.

Brothers Richard (Rick) and Brandon Hume were born in Plymouth, Massachusetts, where they grew up until the early 2000s.

Brandon transferred to Florida in 2004 to enroll in Florida Gulf Coast University, where he was involved in golf and studied in finance. Meanwhile, Rick nurtured a deepening passion for plumbing; he earned his license as a Master Plumber in 2008 and started what would grow into Pro-Tec Plumbing, Inc.

After graduating from his degree, Brandon assisted in hand-digging Rick's first residential job in 2009. He chose to partner with his brother full-time as the company's vice president in 2011, running the business side of the enterprise.
