Privately held since 2008, Pro-Tec has built a strong presence as Southwest Florida's property plumbing and air-conditioning service. We offer top-notch services for residences, commercial properties, and new construction. We guarantee quality and offer peace of mind. Our Master Plumber Richard Hume launched Pro-Tec Plumbing, Inc. in 2008 with a few tools and kits of fittings from the back of his pickup truck. Like any determined entrepreneur, he dedicated himself day and night, distributing flyers to attract new customers and connections. Despite a difficult downturn in 2009, Pro-Tec Plumbing persevered; each year, we increased our offerings by bringing on new team members, vehicles, and tools to the company. Having steadily grown over the years, Pro-Tec Plumbing, Inc. has changed -- we are now Pro-Tec Plumbing, Water & Gas, a complete water system organization. What started as a single-person operation is now a successful company with over 50 staff. Though we still grow, Rick's original promise remains the basis of Pro-Tec: create a business centered on dedication and honesty and ensure the quality of work we would desire in our own homes.

Brothers Richard (Rick) and Brandon Hume were born in Plymouth, Massachusetts, where they grew up until the early 2000s.

Brandon transferred to Florida in 2004 to enroll in Florida Gulf Coast University, where he competed in golf and majored in finance. Meanwhile, Rick developed a deepening passion for plumbing; he earned his license as a Master Plumber in 2008 and started what would grow into Pro-Tec Plumbing, Inc.

After graduating from his degree, Brandon assisted in hand-digging Rick's first residential job in 2009. He chose to team up with his brother permanently as the company's vice president in 2011, overseeing the office side of the company.
