I wish there was a negative review system. I have never come across of such a plumber in my life before who first tells that the problem is not covered by insurance, when finally changed the tap in the shower did such a poor job, the tap is not tight enough , there is a gap between the tap and shower wall. When I said could you please caulk it, David said we don't do the caulking, you do it. For another toilet where the flush randomly works or does not , he said it worked in front of him so there is nothing to fix and they don't do preventative fix. The insurance money is just wasted. I am so upset and afraid my shower will leak as there is a gap for the water to sip in. When we talked to insurance to get the appointment we ensured that these are covered by insurance and parts are covered and will be changed.

Let me preface this review with the fact that I very rarely write Yelp reviews. But this experience was so terrible I needed to share and hopefully save someone else a major headache.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a business. Presidential drain cleaning and plumbing was contracted to me through my home warranty company for a water heater issue. Luckily I had read the reviews prior to them coming to my home so I knew what to expect.

To schedule the appointment, I received a very brief and impersonal phone call from someone stating they would have a plumber in the area the next morning between 8 - 10am and hung up the phone. The next morning I woke up at 8am in anticipation for the appointment I had made the day prior. 10am rolled around and I had not heard a word from anyone regarding an ETA. I called presidential and of course they didn't answer the phone (which I wasn't surprised by after reading the previous reviews). I then contacted my home warranty company who informed me I did not have an appointment, no one from presidential plumbing would be coming and they would have to contact a new company to complete my repair.

Feeling annoyed, I left my house to continue on with my day. Around 10:30am I received a phone call from Dave telling me he was at my house for our appointment. Confused, after being told no one was coming, I hurried home to meet with him.

Dave took one look at my water heater and said everything needed to be replaced and he began to write up the contract. I was told my home warranty would cover a majority of the cost but I would have to pay $660 out of pocket for additional work that was not covered under warranty. I asked Dave when he would be able to complete the job and he said Monday (This was on a Friday). I said okay and then he asked me how I would like to pay...after reading past reviews I was expecting this.

I told Dave I was not comfortable paying the full $660 up front before the job was completed. I offered to pay a deposit after he insisted this was how they always did business, which he declined. I pointed out the clause in his contact that stated ""payment of this invoice/ contract due upon completion of work"". He said they no longer follow that due to payment issues in the past. I told him to update his contract but per the contract I had just been provided, I would be paying for my services upon completion of the work.

Sunday night, I received a call from presidential plumbing to collect my payment information for the work that was scheduled for the following day. I reiterated the fact that the contract I was provided with stated no payment was due until the work was completed and that I would be paying for the services upon completion of the work. Dave seemed annoyed that I had not changed my mind and hung up the phone.

Monday morning my appointment was supposed to be at 9am. At 10am no one had shown up and I had not received a phone call from anyone. I called presidential plumbing (to my surprise they actually answered the phone). I told the man on the phone I had an appointment an hour ago but no one had arrived. He checked his computer and told me I was not put on the schedule because I had not paid them in advance. He said because there were other people who paid up front for the services they were put on the schedule and my appointment had been cancelled.

Mind you, I had not received ANY notification from this company stating my appointment was cancelled or letting me know they would not be coming. After they had already ordered the equipment for my repair AND billed my home warranty company, my appointment was cancelled without notification because they didn't like the fact that I was following the guidelines of their contact. Call me crazy but that doesn't seem to add up to me. Oh and he kept my $75 deductible from the home warranty company for coming to my house and doing literally nothing. I gave the man on the phone a piece of my mind, told them they can permanently take me off their schedule and reminded him how horrible and unprofessional his business is (just incase he wasn't already aware from the 90 other horrible Yelp reviews).

I have no idea how these guys are still in business or why home warranty companies are still contracting them after reading all these horrible reviews. From experience I can tell you, ALL of the reviews are true and BEWARE of this business. They are shady people and should not be trusted.

I'm not sure what the issue was for everyone leaving bad reviews, but my experience was anything but. Dave was super quick, professional, and polite. He called to schedule my appointment almost immediately after my claim was filed, called the day of my appointment to confirm, showed up on time, and had my problem fixed within 15 minutes.

If I had to guess, I'd bet most of the bad reviews are just a bunch of Karens and Chads that probably just like complaining.

Thank you to Dave from Presidential for the great service. Hope to deal with you again!

They don't deserve a zero. First American sent them from our home warranty- the first time the bathroom tub faucet was leaking - they said they could not do it because the tile had to be chipped away and they didn't want the responsibility. .. ok- it took me two seconds to do it and then I found out it wasn't necessary. Another company fixed the leak- I had them out again, where they came up with another excuse to not do the work. After that I asked First American to NEVER send them again. A year or so later I had a leak under the refrigerator from the ice maker. The guy came, I have to admit I was surprised it was this company after I had asked for them Never to come back but I was desperate so I thought ...ok (BIG MISTAKE!!) he looked at the fridge, said it was a built in and had to be professionally removed from the wall, I knew that the problem was at the front bottom of the fridge from a previous experience and asked him to look there - he said no and left. After that First American would not send anyone else out, until I had the fridge professionally moved from the wall. I called a local service and they removed the front bottom frame and fixed the problem. I called first American showed them the bill to get reimbursed. I also Reiterated to NEVER send presidential again - and that they should remove them from their vendors- long story - but don't use them!!

We've had Presidential out twice through our home warranty and impressed is an understatement.

The first call was for what I thought was a leak near the main water supply which turned out to be a condensation line for the HVAC. He quickly assessed the issue before explaining what it was and why it was necessary. A huge relief since I though we were going to have to open up walls to find/fix.

The second call was for a leaking bathtub. Again, he arrived and diagnosed within seconds, went to his truck for parts and replaced the cartridge. In and out in 20 minutes with no more leaks!!!

Both times, they showed up early in the time window they provided and got the job done quickly so I could get on with my day.

Note if person believes he is going to get his hands dirty or assumes that you won't pay he will say he will come back later. I would not recommend company.

It seems service technician sent by my home insurance got offended when I said I always pay my home insurance company the fee and never pay the vendor directly.

Service Tech assumes I am not going to pay him. So when I asked him to do another job, he gave me a quote, to which I agree he tells me he will come back later. Hours later I call as he never called me back or came back. How unprofessional. I then call the office and I learned he was the owner. This is when I was told he assumed I would not be paying him. After learning what he thought, I communicated how unprofessional the company was. The guy on phone states I understand now. He then becomes loud and does not let me speak.

At the end I think he knew he was going to have to get dirty and did not want to do the job. Very rude and unprofessional company.

The company was assigned from First American home warranty. The plumber fixed a broken pipe under my kitchen sink and the second part of the job was to fix the kitchen faucet. Due to wood damaged he did not fix the faucet, he did not give me a quote to fix the faucet and he told me it wasn't worth his time to fix it. I had to contact another plumbing company. They inspected the faucet and will repair the faucet for $450. Additionally the pipe he was supposed to fix it still leaking, I called him back left him a message and he did not return my call. It seems since the company was assigned from the home warranty they do the bare minimum and don't complete the job the way it should be done I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone...

no wonder they keep getting bad reviews. dave (dw) was very rude and unprofessional. he came to check ona leak, opened up the wall, leaves a mess then takes off without notifying us of what he discovered. i had to call him to find out and he was more concerned as to why i called sp early in the morning. hmmm... we had a heavy leak and google page said open 24 hours. i was calling a plumber correct.. ok just making sure i wasn't callung the president of the united states. poor service and lacking professionalism. highly do not recommend.

This company is absolutely atrocious. I was assigned to them through my home warranty company and the level of service was below ZERO, if I could give minus stars I would. They did not respond to my calls and all calls forwarded straight to voicemail. I am a local resident of Castaic and always work with local businesses but I would say definitely 'DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY'! Presidential Plumbing is terrible.
