This company canceled my appointment two hours before my window was due to start even though I confirmed in the morning with them and they agreed to show up. They are legend short staff right before my window. I would not use this company going forward, as they clearly have staffing issues.

I must retract the previous favorable reviews I gave Preferred Home Services. We overpaid for their services for years because it is so hard to find a seemingly reliable company that employs qualified technicians. They may still send out good technicians but how would I know when they don't show up for confirmed, put off and re-confirmed appointments? Back when we could get them to keep their appointment, they 100% of the time urged us to purchase something. Was it needed? Not needed? We tried to keep our then new HVAC in good working order and to honor our long business relationship. They did not.

Discovered my outside spigot wouldn't turn off while heading out the door- was able to call and get a service person my way quickly! Nathan was friendly, professional and able to explain everything in a way that was easy to understand- would totally use them again

Disappointing. They will not provide a quote for a repair unless you pay them $79 first... Who does that? I can get quotes from lots of reputable companies and then choose the one with the best / most friendly technician and the best prices.

I would have given them five stars, however the person I spoke with before the service call led me to believe there would be no charge for coming to the house: (Described as no dispatch fee), however when the technician arrived and I explained the problem and he indicated there would be a $225 diagnosis fee plus whatever repairs were needed. Frankly, I chose this company because I thought the service call was without charge, the other companies offered a lower diagnosis fee, but I agreed and the repair was just as I described, 2 bad control switches which the tech replaced, quickly and efficiently for less than the diagnosis fee The total repair with diagnosis fee was a little over $400. I though this was high but I am so pleased with the expertise and efficiency of my technician I would recommend this company. I just think they should be more upfront about what the cost to come is!

Pricing is very expensive. The workmanship was excellent however I was quoted for one plug said by a switch over top was $640. I had two GFI switches replaced in my panel box both of which I supplied plus one motion detector to be installed in place of a switch again I supplied I paid $150 for the labor. I consider that to be pretty expensive given the fact I supplied everything and it took about 20 minutes to do everything the firm, however, is very professional and the work done by the electrician.

Just had my AC unit inspected by Josh Brown and i was very pleased. Josh was professional, knowledgeable and helpful. I am signing up for their service plan having the assurance that great employees such as Josh work for this business.

Grossly overcharge for basic plumbing services, over 300.00 to simply install a new toilet which I had on site. My advice is to keep looking for a plumber who doesn't try to take advantage of potential customers. Dr. William Summy

DISHONEST!!! Icalled Preffered Home Services to switching out am old tankless water heater with a new one. They gave me a quote of $8,000!!! I was working from home so I googled pricing while the Preferred person was sitting across the table from me and the HIGH end of the range listed online was $4,000. I told them """"No thanks!"""" and the service person walked outside and """"spoke to his supervisor """" and came back in with a quote of $4,000. Nothing in the estimate changed except the price! All services listed were the same as the previous estimate!
