Hired Patrick's company to do the sewer lateral on our new home. He did all work properly and passed inspection. His biggest pro was that the city of Piedmont has very specific concrete specs unavailable in most places. He took the time to find the mixture closest to the existing concrete. I definitely appreciated that effort.

Patrick and his team were top notch. I had what I thought was a simple clog but turned out to be a broken pipe deep in the system. Patrick responded immediately, arrived on time and worked diligently to diagnose the problem. He explained the problem to me and provided me with options and estimates of cost for each option. The job was fairly extensive and the cost was very very fair. It was a two day job and the team that came out on the second day was totally pro. They communicated with me about what they were doing, worked quickly and cleaned up beautifully. I would highly recommend Patrick and the great team at Precision Sewers.

I recently experienced a sewer back up on the weekend. I
called one company to try and clear the line. They were unable
to do so and after charging me a couple hundred dollars, gave
me a ridiculous estimate to replace it. I called City of Oakland
on Monday to discuss what I needed to do. Beyond telling me that
I was responsible to the middle of the street (and that I needed to
fix my sewer), they weren't much help. I did a search of contractors
in my area and came across Precision Sewers. The owner of the
company (Patrick) came out the following day and explained all the
little details of going through with a project of this size (200 feet).
I felt that he was knowledgeable in his explanation of things and I
sensed that I could trust him so I hired his company to perform my
work. A couple of days later he showed up with his crew. They were very courteous and I could tell that they knew what they were doing by the way they treated my property (landscape lines, plants, deck...etc.). Needless to say the job was very big and it took three days to complete. I felt Patrick's communication with me was good. There were a fair amount of unexpected issues that arose which he took the time
to explain to me. At the end of the job, everything was put back to the way it looked before. Even a couple of broken sprinkler heads got repaired. While his price was about the same as other companies estimates, I got a 10 year warranty and really felt the service was superior. I would highly recommend him to someone that needs their
sewer replaced.

CFPH, LLC contracted with Precision Sewers for a sewer lateral line. Patrick's professionalism from start to finish was superb. We will highly recommend Precision Sewers in the future.

Did a good job in terms of job quality and timing. Think they have improved on that since other reviews were written. However, Patrick himself is a bit shady in terms of communicating pricing. There was a problem with our drain being clogged right after they came out and his crew returned to fix and determine if it was a problem with the original work of replacing sewer lateral.

They determined it was a separate clog not related to their work but implied they'd fix it regardless. I mentioned how that was great as above and beyond. Next day came out and fixed it and were taking off. Then Patrick called to say it was another $190. Okay with that if he had communicated ahead of time, but not good business to let me think it was gratis given the large ticket lateral replacement and then nickel and dime me after the fact.

Very good experience on PSL replacement:
- Responsiveness and communication on professional level;
- Job was done within agreed timeframe and team left the place clean;
- Certification was arranged (by Patrick) and took place the same day - seamlessly to me;
- All paperwork exchange and payment has been conducted the next day.

Oh, and the job price was 15-20% lower comparing to other 3 estimations.

Highly recommended!

So this if my first EVER yelp review. But I have to say, this guy saved me 10-15K so I think it deserves a mention. We thought we had to replace our sewer lateral when we bought our first house, so we hired him to do it. It was going to be very expensive because our house is set way back from the street. He came out to give an estimate, then told us that we didn't have to do it because it had been done already. Gave us the date, the company name, and permit numbers that we needed to submit to EBMUD. The information was verified by EBMUD and we got our exemption certificate today. We would never have known that and would have happily and unknowingly paid him to do it, but he did the honest thing. I'm surprised to see some negative reviews--I did note that he is very informal over the phone, and he did do the estimate the day after he was supposed to, but I think not taking my 15K was pretty cool of him!

I am giving one star just because there isn't an option to give zero stars. I absolutely regret hiring Precision Sewers to compete the sewer lateral work on our new house. If you want to work with someone who is unprofessional, rude and basically emotionally unstable, Patrick is your guy. When we called to complain with East Bay Mud and also the city they said ""let me guess, Precision Sewers?"" I won't go on with details but I'll just say that the job took several days longer to complete (with no good reason) and then once payment was due, Patrick became aggressive and harassed both me and my partner. We had asked if paypal was an option but out of consideration of the fees I sent a check that very same day (one day after job was finally done). Next thing I know, Patrick is calling me at work yelling that he hadn't received payment. Even if you are buying a new house and you have a bid from him I would strongly suggest you pay for another bid with a different company. This was a total nightmare and I am shocked that he is still licensed and somehow in business.

They deserve no stars! I just called up to see if I can get a quote for testing the sewer lateral to get the certificate and the person (I think this is a one person company) who answered the phone told me that they have to go out to inspect. I asked a few more questions regarding the test and he got very irritated and started raising his voice. He was extremely rude and it was a very unpleasant experience. NO, I will not hire him for his service! They go by ""Emergency Plumbing & Drain"".

I worked in property management for 3 years. Glad I'm out. Anyways, in my first week on the job, one of my clients hired Patrick Bailey to replace their sewer lateral. Patrick was extremely rude, pushy and profane in literally every encounter I had with him. I never hired him again and I advised my colleagues to never hire him whenever asked. He could have made a chunk of change through our company but instead let his pathetic, troubled child-like emotional state get the better of him. I hope his business fails, the only niche he has is his pricing. Otherwise, totally not worth working with.
