Super Expensive

Elderly couple next door was just charged $3000.00 for a 50 gallon gas water heater replacement with no complications

Ridiculous when you consider you can buy a quality water heater yourself for less than $800

I used to be a Precision guy, got a full 2-unit Trane system from them, a member of the ""club"" and all that. Until I realized how much they were charging was a lot more than other companies. And, are more concerned with filling quotas. The last time they checked my system everything was fine (at least that's what the report said). A couple of months after, of course when the warranty just runs out, they tell me a couple of wires were shorting out (guess those went unnoticed) and the evaporator coil was bad. Either replace it for about $7k (not knowing if it would last) or replace the entire system for about $16k. Guess Covid prices are still in effect. But, why would I buy new units when the EPA regulations are shifting to R-454B and R-32 refrigerants? In any case, I used another company to service the units and they are running strong. No new parts. Here's hoping you have a great experience with them but luckily there are as many AC companies as there are Starbucks in this state!

Bought a supposedly brand new ac unit from this place in 2022. A year later in 2023 it needs a compressor, and then in August of 2024 the coils go out. And they want to charge me $3000 to fix it. They have left me with no ac in my house. The temperature in my house is 99°. They don't care how hot my home is. What kind of company does this. They don't honor their warranty that I have in writing. This place is no good. You can't even talk to a manager. And their customer service people are very rude.

Unfortunately, I have to update my review. We've been using Precision Air & Plumbing for over 20 years. They used to be amazing but much has changed. Precision put in a brand new A/C (ground unit) in the Spring of 2022. We used to know the techs and have been loyal. This year, approximately August 18th, 2024 it stopped blowing cold air. Under warranty? Yes. BUT It took nearly 2 weeks and over $5,000 out of our pockets (for labor and the cost of renting portable units) to get it working again. I have since learned that Precision started out the summer with 10 techs, but by August they were down to 3. In addition, they schedule their A/C techs on a split schedule: M-F or T-SAT. Sunday is a 911 day. If you are unfortunate enough to have a problem over the weekend? Saturday and Monday will be their lowest staffed day. You will be lucky if they even make it to you on a Saturday or Monday. Whether you are a paid plan member (which we are) or not, you will be told that someone will be out between 10 am and 7 pm. Yep. If you ask how many visits are scheduled for that day, because you want to try and plan your LIFE, they will refuse to answer. The first time we were told between 10 and 7? We only received ONE update call, had to keep calling, never saw anyone that day, and (technically next day) at 1:00 AM a call came in. $1300 worth of coolent was blown in and the tech finally left at 3 AM. Someone returned on the 20th and added dye to decipher ""leaks"" and we were told they would be back in a week--they were ONLY near the handler in the attic (yes, we ALWAYS do a ""check"" service call in spring). Within 48 hours of the dye and coolant add, hot air started blowing again. Tech comes back: ""It's in your attic the air handler"". 5 days of rented units, they finally come, ""fix"" the ""leaks"" THEN THAT worker say ms we have a huge leak on the ground unit itself. Can't understand why the 1st tech didn't ""catch it"". First tech MISSED IT. They have to come BACK and fix THAT LEAK. Labor for each visit totaled nearly 4K. Both managers I spoke with were rude and condescending. Think you can talk to the owner? Eric Bryan? Who brags about ""24 hour service"", the customer being ""like family"", who employs a manager named John who literally made a verbal threat to me on the phone? (He offered to refund the $1300 coolant, when I asked if there was more they could offer he gruffly said ""I can add the cost of that coolant right back on your bill"" (In front of one of his techs & my spouse--he was on speaker phone). Forget about it. Eric doesn't talk to customers anymore. ""There is no way you can talk to Eric. Not possible. His other manager, Autumn? Offered nothing but condescension. We have spent thousands and thousands of dollars with his company, HVAC and plumbing, referred many friends and family. Now? After only about one week of working A/C? It's blowing hot air again. I had to call again. And guess what I was told? ""Tomorrow between 10-7"". When I asked how many other calls were scheduled? ""I'm not allowed to tell you that"". So, not only is it a faulty 2 year old unit, and I'm again waiting for someone to make this right, but I'm not ""allowed"" to plan my day, take refuge somewhere cooler if I need to, or know how much work I may miss because of poor management, lack of transparency to the customer, and poor workmanship. NOTE: some of their techs went to school, some have not. I've learned that as well. Turnover is a huge problem. I remember the days when scheduling was 7-10, 10-3, 2-7 and so on, but no more. And I used to know and trust people who worked there. And the most depressing part of the whole situation? I feel absolute zero care from this company. Everything has changed. When businesses forget how to treat and talk to people and owners become hands-off? It gets around. I'm happy to be proven wrong and update my review. They have a chance to make this right.

Precision Air is amazing. They have done work for me for 4 years. A couple weeks ago my 2nd AC unit needed to be replaced. I shopped around for price comparisons on a Trane 4 ton XR15 and Orecision air had the best price. Even better, they honored their quality of service and ensured the ducts were upgraded too. I've lived in PHX for decades. Honestly- there is no reason to shop anywhere else, just go with Precision Air.

I'm called precision cooling and heating on June 26. They came out and charged me $1200 To do a temporary fix that lasted less than 24 hours. No guarantees no refunds..Cactus air-conditioning heating has done a great job fixing everything .. Thank you, cactus

Don't trust this business as they lied to me twice. They said that I needed the air ducts cleaned. They showed a picture of very dirty air ducts. But they weren't mine as mine had no dirt in them. They later told me that I needed my plastic air ducts replaced because there were holes in them and they showed me pictures. The pictures they showed were not mine as mine were in perfect condition. Stay away from this corrupt business.

I would love to give a rating to this company based on service provided, however they do not deal with Estate Managers or Property Managers so don't waste your time if you run multiple properties and want a good working relationship with them as a contractor. I set the appointements, approve the estimates, schedule the work, see it through and pay the bill. But they wanted to deal directly with the homeowners, who hired me to handle this type of work for them. Just silly.

UPDATE: No one came to the scheduled drain repair scheduled 10 am - 7 pm. (Given the history of being scheduled but being ghosted, this is not surprising).

We called the next day and was scheduled for today 7/25/24. Seasoned Tech from before came out and fixed everything.

NOTE: The service technicians have all been fantastic through the entire issue. Their part of this has been great.

Owner replied to yelp and that is when we checked and can confirm they did refund the full amount. (Very happy to see that as we still had not been able to reach anyone to discuss it)

Also wanted to clear up that the diagnosis over the course of the days and having techs come out was never an issue. Totally understand that it is a process of elimination.

The main gripe is being scheduled REPEATEDLY and then ghosted without being informed our scheduled visit was cancelled and getting ahold of a manager because some things require escalation is still very difficult if you ask the office staff to have the manager call.

Our service tech was able to send a message to the manager and the manager did call - so that is good.

I have no idea what is going on with scheduling and message relays but the process needs serious work.

The customer service is not great. We understand that everyone in the Arizona heat has issues with their AC and there are some homes that have a higher emergency level.
Our home for up to 94 degrees and we were unable to get a technician out till the next evening. We had to get hotel accommodations, fine.
The tech shows up and he is very professional and respectful.
Unfortunately, the AC goes out again a day and a half later. I had signed us up for the membership. They can't get anyone out to my house till another business day, so this is now our second hotel stay this week.
We had paid over 1800 for our service. And the membership.

While calling customer service you will randomly get one polite person. I had to call multiple times to update the company on who will be at the home to sign and other info that they asked me to provide. They picked up and hung up. I call back again. A man answers. Puts me on hold and hangs up phone. I call back again and the same man answers.

We are people with kids in 110 degree heat with no AC. I know it might be annoying for the same name to pop up on your caller ID, but we called because we needed help. Not to annoy anyone. Some customer service would go a long way.
