Dave the plumber came out in regards to an issue we had with setting up a new washer and dryer. He was on time and very friendly and knowledgeable. He took the time to let me know what he saw and why he was making his recommendations. Our issue got solved in one visit. He answered all my questions and I felt very comfortable with all his answers. If you have a plumbing issue you I would recommend asking for Dave. Thank you Dave and Point Loma!
I hope I never have to call out a plumber again but if I do, I will definitely be calling these guys.

Super responsive and professional. They were fairly priced and made scheduling a breeze. They installed a 220v outlet for my electric car and did a beautiful job.

This is a company that we have used multiple times in the past and trusted. We have always been happy with their service until this scheduled visit. Despite scheduling a morning appointment they booked us for an afternoon and then just called us to tell us that they were unable to service us today. This is incredibly poor customer service especially when we took days of vacation in order to be home and at the house at the time of the service. We notified the customer service agent about this specifically and were offered no appointment time and no additional compensation. Given our previous experiences with this company I expected much more. Based on this experience, Beware scheduling an appointment with them as they are unreliable and their ability to make their scheduled time..

Needed to have the very basic worn out on/off switch for the lights in my bathroom replaced. Also was told by another electrician that 1 outlet in my bedroom's basic wires were crossed and needed to be corrected, even though it's been that way since 1966 and works fine . So had an appointment with PLP&E. The electrician quoted me $400 to do that work. I was so shocked. Really? They're simple things that have instructions on Utube on how to do, but you would think having a professional electrician do the work is safer. Well, not if you're an older woman owning a small condo in Point Loma. To make things even worse, a man from the company called this morning to follow up. I told him the situation and he said they do quality work and they guarantee it. Really? $400 for half an hour of work, if that long? So, he ended by saying he would get back to me next week. OMG.. so... think twice before calling these people who are just looking to take advantage of people.

Nobody wants to call a plumber- I'd only when there is a problem and so you're already stressed anticipating hassle, huge expense and having to deal with people you may be taking advantage. Our regular plumber was booked when we called for a leaky faucet. My husband noticed the work van in the area with a local number. He called and the receptionist was polite, professional and a good listener. Within a couple of days our 'technician' Brandon arrived, on time, masked, and ready to help. He too heard my concerns and was very responsive. He returned the next day with all the parts required. He did everything he promised and more at a fair price. Super satisfied with the work performed and especially with Brandon. Very courteous, intelligent, a skilled worker who left the area clean when done too. Highly recommend!!

Amazing service and workmanship. Frankie is awesome. He installed a new outdoor plug with weatherproof cover, a new plug in my guest bedroom (which required him to crawl under the house and run a new line), replaced some faulty GFCI plugs in my kitchen (one right next to the sink!), and upgraded an existing outdoor plug with a new GFCI plug and weather-proof cover. And as a courtesy he fixed some lazy work done by previous owners in my subpanel and main panel because it was a potential fire hazard.

He was incredibly thorough and pointed out other things he recommended I fix, like old outlets original to the house that aren't grounded (!!).

He also did all the work the same day. I couldn't believe he finished it all. The installs look great and workmanship is top notch.

The cost was ~$1800 for everything. This is my first home, so I don't know if this is expensive or not, but the service and work was incredible and I'm glad I got it done instead of needing to waste time shopping around a bunch of quotes.

Next time I get electrical work done I'm definitely going to request Frankie.

I blew fuses, accidentally, after running 2 space heaters. I have solar panels, so have been trying to get used to them and use electricity rather than gas heat. Even though my fuse panel was marked, due to work Pt Loma electric had done, after I needed my system upgrade, following solar panel installation, I couldn't figure out how to put the fuses/breakers, back into the correct spot. Curtis did an excellent job, over the phone with me. He literally had a photo of my panel box that he found, saved from earlier, by Pt Loma electric technician. Curtis walked me thru, over phone, how to put fuses/breakers back into correct place, and I got them all re-set. He told me, all would be SAFE, and that I shouldn't have any concerns about blowing fuses again, but just recommend, 'don't use 2 space heaters at same time'.

I was impressed by this company 3 years ago. This week (10/4/21) my horrible experience caused me to take them off my list forever. Called to get a quote on replacing one failed timer switch and installing a new timer switch in a bathroom that had only on/off switch. Both switches operated bathroom fans. Technician arrived at 1:30PM from an A.M. appointment request. OH Well. Then he told me it'd be difficult to find the existing switch (10,20,30, 60min. timer) but could get a 10, 20, 30 min timer switch. The price quoted was $686.00. I told them way too high and suggested around $400. They countered no, at least $500. I asked him to break down parts and labor.. technician said he couldn't do that. I paid the trip fee ($65.00) and said Thank you.
I found their switch at Home Depot. I found the switch I needed Levitron LTB601LZ on Amazon for $23. and Supply House.com for $33.50. So even at retail they wanted approx $600.00 to replace two(2) switches. Almost GOUGED and quite upset I found a local master electrician (licensed /insured) and he installed both switches for $125.00. So... Pt Loma to lazy to source the proper switch, then ask for about $500-$600. in labor. Never again will I trust this company. I felt quite violated by their unprofessional commercial conduct.

My home was built in the 60's and has all the old house problems with plumbing and electrical. The outlets in two walls went dead and I called Point Loma Electric. I had an appointment 3 days after I called and the specialist Javier Gonzalez was on time, and a pleasure to work with. He located and repaired the wiring problem. He also did a check on all the outlets in both bathrooms and the laundry room. The laundry room outlet needed an upgrade which he completed while here. I recommend Point Loma Electric and Javier without question.

Words cannot express how amazing the team at Point Loma Electric and Plumbing have been! We have been planning to upgrade our electrical for the last two years and were finally able to make it happen thanks to them. Incredible shout out to Aaron, Lalo, Bryan, Jimmy, and Ramon! They are professional, show up on time, listen to feedback, clean up after themselves, and are fantastic to work with! Our job was not easy and extended numerous days beyond the original plan. They stayed positive, upbeat, and communicative throughout. As a woman, I've found that contractors don't always want to listen to feedback and these guys are not that way at all! They really want you to be happy and don't make you feel bad for asking for what you want. Also a shout out to Harley and Sarah in the office. They did a great job of keeping us updated. I wish this company offered every kind of service because I would hire them for everything. Look no further, you've found the right people!
