Technicians Charlie Holt and Greg Smink were were always pleasant, professional and excellent to work with during the entire process of doing major electrical work at my home.

From time to time, I am in need of electrical work, done right, the first time; I'd definitely call and refer people to Point Loma Electric!

I can't tell you how impressed I am with this company. This is not the first time I have used them and each time it gets better. I had the electricity go out in several rooms, including tvs. and other appliances. It was after hours and the visit would be prohibitive, but Kristin calmed me down and assured me they would be there first thing in the morning and they were. His name was Greg and he was great. He found the problem immediately. He explained the situation in total, but most was lost on me. I am completely and thoroughly sold on Point Loma Electric. They are honest and caring. That's unique!! Kristin and Greg get extra kudos!

This was our second experience with Point Loma Electric and Plumbing. This time we had a number of receptacles and switches replaced in our new home. The two-man crew arrived on time and completed the job in a timely manner all the while explaining what they were doing as well as emphasizing safety first! They also did a great job of cleaning up after the job and walked us through all of the changes that were made. We were quite impressed by their work ethic and will definitely continue to use their services.

I bought an EV and needed a dedicated 220-volt plug installed. I made an appointment and I was told the tech would be here to look at the job and complete it the same day if I approved. I told the person I talked to on the phone I work at 1030 each day so I needed them here early so I can get to work.
The installer came, gave me a reasonable price, and said he couldn't do the work that day. We made another appointment for the installation to be complete. The next appointment day I received a call around 0800 telling me my installers would be at my house in 30 to 45 minutes. I reminded her that I had work and I was told by the installer he would be here at 0800.
An installer showed up with one of the leads to see what was going on and what they could do. The original tech that gave me the quote was not with them and he didn't pass any information on. I explained what I needed, and they said they needed to order parts. My issue with this is I was told the parts were already being ordered and they would have them to install. A 3rd appointment was made.
The lead told me they would be here at 0800 so I could get to work. I get a call at 0745 and the message said they would be here in 30 minutes. I called back after an hour and I was told they are at the warehouse getting parts.
They had the job done in under 90 minutes. After they left I went to plug in the new charger and........ the plug they installed was wrong. The lead took a picture of what plug I was using for my specific charger and said they would install that one.
I called after I calmed down and they sent someone out as soon as they could. He came, I showed him what I needed, and he went off to the parts warehouse. He came back and installed the correct parts. He also had to re-do the work of the 2 guys here earlier that day, they didn't run a 30 amp wire or something to that effect.
Everyone I talked to was friendly, polite, and professional, just never on time and lacked communication. They were the only company that came up on home advisor for installing EV related things or I would have told them not to come back and I would have hired someone else.
This took my whole day, I had to miss work at the , which cost me money. The reason for 2 stars is the last tech that came last had the integrity, and was honest enough, to fix something he saw wrong.

I needed an EV charger installed. They sent out a knowledgeable person who did a thorough investigation of how it should be done using the existing power panels and wiring. They completed the work a few days later within the time estimates. They were all very friendly and accommodating and did an excellent job. I can highly recommend the company.
I had contacted another company before which insisted on complete service upgrades and unnecessarily high EV charging requirements. Their charges would have been a multiple of what I paid.

We are very pleased with the excellent customer service and work completed! We got a call 30 minutes before to let us know the tech was on his way. Mike introduced himself and I showed him the work we needed done. He then gave me a quote which I approved and he proceeded to do the job. He completed in a very timely manner. We felt comfortable with him in our home. He has excellent customer relations and we like the courtesy of putting shoes covers on. Thanks for a great job Mike!

My mother had started having problems with the electricity and she contacted Point Loma Electric, as they specialize in older houses. Most of the house had the original wiring, so they recommended a complete rewire. It was a big job, but the crew at Point Loma Electric were fully up to it and more. They were prompt, professional, thorough...I can't think of enough good adjectives to describe the experience. Chris and his crew were so thoughtful every step of the way. It is a huge relief to know that my mother now has a reliable electrical AND plumbing company to deal with any future needs.

Very poor customer service and dishonesty. I originally called Pt Loma electric for a ceiling fan issue, timer installation, and wanted a recessed light to light up my art at night. They fixed the fan, installed a timer which was programmed wrong, and installed a light that was unfit for art. I did not immediately comment after installation since I could not tell what the art light looked like with the bright light in the middle of the day, nor did I realize the timer was programmed wrong. However, when it became dark it was obvious that the light did not function as an art light as it cast a huge shadow and lit up the entire wall and made an obnoxious bright spot on the ceiling. It was also unlike any other art light I had in my house....because it wasn't an art light. I later found out they bought it at home depot even though the installer told me he was going to Rexel. When I called the next day to get it fixed, the owner told me that they weren't art light experts but just electricians. I wished they would have told me that prior to installing an inappropriate light (which she called beautiful...however she never actually saw it, only a picture that was taken by the installer during the middle of the day underneath my bright skylight. Of course it looked good as the skylight lit it nicely. However, it was awkward, unbecoming, and obtrusive at night.). They were scheduled to return on Thursday and were no shows. I called again and made arrangements for a 3rd morning to have it fixed. The installer was very nice and we looked at the area and both realized the light needed to be installed further away. He was more than willing to do it but came back after a phone call and told me they would need to charge me. I asked how much and he went away again for 10 minutes and came back and said they couldn't do the job but would refund me $250. I'm now left with a light that I had to ask him to disconnect and a timer for $574. I'm hoping they refund the $250. The owner mentioned in her response that I demanded, drywall, texture, paint, new wiring etc. There was never such a demand, not even a discussion. I was only hoping they would put an art light in the appropriate place and disconnect the other light.

From the circuits that where tied down not one of them was marked for where they went, And $400 to add three J boxs kind of told me the kind of company I was dealing with, like I said the workers were great but the company I don't and wouldn't plan on using again.
