Recommended Customer Reviews

We've had poillucci plumbing as our plumbers for years. They are the best! Honest, Fair, Highly Competent and Trustworthy! You won't find a better company in Pittsburgh.

The plumber was so disrespectful and extremely rude. I work in customer service and nobody should ever degrade someone and converse with someone the way the owner talked to me.
This was the second time Polucci Plumbing came to fix my water line as well. When fixing it the second time, one of the workers said how they remembered seeing seeing a huge brick near the waterline the last time which he insinuated that that may have been part of the line breaking right next to the brick for the second time.
Additionally, the line was repaired and the water was turned on. However, I was not getting any water. I had to call Polucci to come back out since nobody had asked the residents to check to make sure the water was running properly.
When he returned the next day and ""fixed"" the issue; I was only getting a trickle of water. I called the plumber back as soon as he left and he had an appalling demeanor and said he had to ""go to work."" I replied, ""this is your job and what you were hired to do."" He asked if I took off my shower head to see if there was any debris behind it, which I had not done, because I would not know to do that since I am not the plumber.
My water pressure was great prior to Polucci Plumbing ""fixing my line"" (there was a leak from the yard; Therefore, this did not effect the actual water pressure in my home, prior to Polucci coming out).
Furthermore, the water pressure is still low and trickling in the shower. I am so displeased with this whole experience, especially when someone is getting paid to do their job and do it correctly in a professional manner.
I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

Poillucci is ok but would not recommend, they are in network with home warranty and were dispatched for 2 separate services about 1 yr apart. 1st was hot water tank replacement - Waited 6hrs after my request was dispatched to service provider & I had to reach out to them to schedule & had to wait 2 days for service. Hot water tank leaked after installed was given a hard time about getting someone out to check out and had to make 2 more service calls finally 3rd tech that came replaced defective pressure relief valve on new tank. 2nd service was for sewage backup in basement again had to make initial contact to verify received dispatch from home warranty company and again was given a service appt 2 days out said too busy with bigger jobs -- when asked if anyway to get something sooner due to raw sewage was told I should contact warranty company to see if another provider could come out. Checked Angie's list and had several plumbers in area that could come same day problem resolved that evening. Also filing complaint with home warranty service.

Poillucci plumbing gets a solid 5 STARS! We needed new gas lines, and we wanted the job done right, the first time around. They came in like a plumber-SWAT team and handled it.
Another time, we had an emergency when the pilot light of the furnace that heats the radiators blew out. It's an old furnace, and I couldn't figure out where stuff was. So I called Poillucci plumbing, and he showed up in TEN MINUTES. He was super pro, and explained what probably caused it to go out.
I'm truly baffled by these poor reviews, because these guys do AMAZING work. Plus, the owner of the company actually has the guts to respond to negative reviews. He clearly stands by his work-- something you don't see much these days. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Well, I tried to hire them for a big tough job at my house. Right off the bat, the gruff lady explains their rules, and how they operate. They charge to come out and give the estimate (2 other plumbers did the same inspection for at no charge). I don't why, but I agreed. Anyway, it took 3 weeks to get the price (I was told a different story by the same lady every time I called), and their price for a multiple thousand dollar job was DOUBLE the next highest price. Drive by their office in Lawrenceville, they got several Angie's List awards. I haven't a clue why.

These are the most incompetent and rudest contractors I have ever dealt with.
1- they were cursing while working. Good thing there were no children around.
2- they over charged me for a tank. It is $40 at home depot and they made me pay $210 which is ridiculous since i paid them $100 already for labor and replacing the tank takes 2 minutes.
3- when they were replacing my water heater they destroyed my shower then tried to scam me when I called them back to fix what they destroyed. They spent an hour or so trying to unscrew a faucet (what kind of plumber cannot unscrew a faucet?). Then they pretended they couldn't unscrew it and claimed that they would have to break it and replace it with a new one, which would cost me $720 which is not covered under my warranty. (This faucet is only $30 or so at Lowes)
Of course i refused. Later I tried to unscrew it myself and it took me 1 second or so which proves that they were pretending in order to scam me. I FIXED THE SHOWER THEY DESTROYED FOR ZERO DOLLARS and I have never done any plumbing in my life. That is how bad those scammers are. I will post a YouTube video soon showing the faucet and how easy it is to do it and to warn people about this company. I spent three days without taking a shower because of them. I was so furious. I am going to warn everyone in the neighborhood on out neighborhood website. I don't want any one to deal with what I had to deal with.

I am a property manager. I deal with lots of contractors, the good the bad and the ugly.
Poillucci dispatched Bob, the plumber and Dave, the apprentice within two days. Accurate diagnosis (or confirmation of my initial diagnosis), thorough explanation of the problem and a price quote from the boss Nick later that day.
Bill the plumber and Dave the apprentice returned and completed the shower assembly, new stems & new handles.
Good quality materials, excellent craftsmanship. The new access panel was perfect and super smooth. They even cleaned up after themselves as if ready for a photo shoot. Legal, good plumbing is NOT cheap in Pittsburgh. This was affordable but what really stood out was the quality.
Two days later, Nick the owner called to follow up to see if I was pleased with service. I was thrilled and told him as much. What a great bunch of smart, hardworking people he has working for him. Like attracts like.
I received paid invoices in the mail later that week.
Highly recommend.

I own a few rental properties and have used Poillucci Plumbing for a couple different jobs and they have done a great job. My first experience with them was through a home warranty program at one of my properties that I had just purchased. I had frozen pipe that burst and they came out right away and fixed it. While they were they discovered that the hot water tank was installed incorrectly and so they fixed that for me. My other experience just occurred this past week with another property that needed a very old (1920's) plumbing stack replaced in the basement. They did the work expeditiously and professionally and left the area looking better than they found it.

I appreciate that they came out quickly. But because the owner was on another job, I wasn't told what they'd charge to do the repair (for gas leaks in my line to the fireplace) until the end of the next day. They said it was cheaper to replace the line than to fix the leaks. They use an extruded pipe method so that it's all one piece, which is very nice, but the price would be $1,100.00!!! Yikes! I got another plumber who gave me an estimate over the phone [I explained that Poillucci said there were several leaks] for less than $300.
Would have been nice if Poillucci would have offered a less expensive alternative. They also charge $85 for a service call.
UPDATE: I've changed my rating from 2 stars to 1 star and wish I could make it 0 stars! The Columbia Gas Company came out over the weekend and said there wasn't any leak anywhere. I wasn't going to take a chance, so the 2d plumber came this evening [the one prepared to fix the leaks for under $300], checked everything and said ""that's right. There are no leaks anywhere."" Just charged me $50 for driving over in the snow and zero degree weather.

We had a flooded basement (ew) with sewage (sorry TMI but it was super messy), these guys took our call at 8am on a Friday and were out in 10 mins. They quoted us on the phone and were honest and only charged what they quoted when they got there. Bill and Dave were friendly, professional, and paid special attention to respecting our property. We appreciated the quick service, knowledgable staff, and fair pricing. We would definitely use them again in the future.
Pros:
+responsive/quick
+fair pricing/affordable
+knowledgeable
Cons:
Can't really think of anything!
