Plymwr Plumbing
Company Overview
Hi there, I’m Robert, the head of Plymwr Plumbing. I have been in the plumbing industry for 20 years. I kicked off my plumbing path during summer breaks in high school. I realized college wasn’t my path, so right after high school, I joined the plumbers' union. I was part of the union for 8 years, until my brother and I launched our first plumbing business together. After 8 years, I took the leap to start my own business. Plymwr Plumbing is committed to being the top choice for honest and affordable plumbing in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

I was very much disappointed with this company. 2 times I was scheduled for service and twice they were no show no call and both times I had to be the one to follow up and to ask for an explanation. I tried calling to speak with the owner, and no answer and the voicemail is full. No shock there. Very unprofessional! They offered no reason, explanation, or recompense for their inefficiency. I DO NOT recommend this company if you value your time and if you need to get any plumbling service done.

My toilet was leaking along the base and my home warranty provider assigned the work order to Plymwr Plumbing. A plumber (Derek) came on November 4 and replaced the seal. That evening the floor was wet again. I called the next day, spoke to the owner and he scheduled another plumber (Alan) for November 6 between 7-9am. Alan arrived at 4pm and said Derek should have installed a double seal because I have a tile floor?? That evening the floor was wet again. I called, e-mailed and texted Plymwr on Saturday morning (voice mail said office was open til 2pm) but got no response. I then texted Alan and his response was ""then the toilet is cracked."" 2 plumbers and neither noticed a crack? I then called American Home Shield who said they couldn't authorize a replacement toilet until they got the report from Plymwr and they also left a voice mail. It is now 11am on November 9, I am still unable to reach anyone at Plymwr as the mailbox is full!! Fortunately, I have lots of rags to continually sop up the water. Outcome TBD.

While the field techs were friendly, punctual and knowledgeable I would never recommend this company to anyone. They were assigned from my home warranty company as a in network service provider and I wish I had read the reviews before accepting. I own a construction company and feel like the rates they tried to charge (out of pocket/not covered) were extremely bloated. I called for an explanation of the items they said needed to be completed, the office person explained items needed to be done that I know to be untrue/not needed as a expert. I was unable to change to another provider since they turned in the paperwork to the home warranty company. I ended up completing the repair for less than half the price that they quoted over $900 to repair.

Used my home warranty to assist in fixing a water temperature control issue that is affecting the shower and possibly the dishwasher (does not appear the soap is dissolving all the way indicating the temperature is not hot enough) so I thought it was likely the water heater, which appears poorly installed, rusted joints, possibly calcified on the inside, from when I originally bought the house.
I teach chemistry and physics from my house now, during the day, so it is often difficult for me to answer phone calls when anyone calls. I always attempt to return phone calls later, however Plymwr is difficult to get a hold of on the phone on customers time. I was able to make an appointment, and the first Plumber from Plymwr came out and said it was not the water heater but the cartridge and cap of the water temperature lever in the shower. I said I found that unlinkely to be the culprit because I had just replaced that unit myself a week prior, with no change in water temperature consistency. He took the unit out, and ran water through it open, which sprayed water everywhere (held shower curtain closed) to see if anything was in there clogging it. He showed a few very tiny pebbles that I am to assume came out from the stream. We turned the water off, and he put the unit back in, and re assembled the handle for the shower. He suggested replacing the back pressure balance valve, said he would order the part and someone would come back to install it. The shower actually retained hot water better now, although still after 5-10 minutes of a shower, if you have the handle on anything less than max heat it will still lose heat. Second plumber arrived with what appeared to be the part the first plumber had ordered. Instead of installing this part, he quickly reassessed the work of his predecessor and determined that this was not the part that needed replacing. He seemed determined to replace the part I had already replaced and left in search of parts. After returning unable to find the parts, he said they would have to order the part, reassembled the shower and left. Late, later that evening, my husband tried to take a shower. Nothing but cold water came out of the shower for a long time. My husband woke me up and showed me what was up since I was the only one home while the plumber was here, and all of a sudden out of nowhere, scalding hot water. We decided to just turn off the water and call Plymwr in the morning, however when you rotated the lever, the water wouldn't even shut off anymore! My husband and I turned off the water to our whole house (house is pretty old and the valves to turn off the water just to that bathroom are rusted and next to impossible to turn) took the handle and plate off, turned the water back on and discovered water was leaking back behind the shower wall and was spraying like the inside of a sinking submarine everywhere out of the cartridge and cap. We immediately turned off the water. I have texted, called repeatedly, and emailed Plymwr to please come back out here ASAP to at least get the shower back to the condition it was in after plumber 1 left. I have not gotten a response from Friday to today (Monday) so far. Saturday morning I called the home warranty company and let them know what was happening, and they made this a priority case since our whole house has to be without water since with it on it's a shower catastrophic failure, and said they would recall Plymwr out to the house ASAP. I understand this issue occurred on a Thursday night to Friday morning, and that weekends are
not usually considered business days, but Plymwr has limited Saturday hours listed, and I find it unprofessional to not at least have contacted me yet from my own messaging or from the home warranty's recall. I also find it unprofessional that plumber two essentially broke my shower even more, left, and now not only do I not have a shower, but I have no ability to have running water at all in my house, and nobody will call me back. I'd love to take this review down after the situation is rectified.

Tori in the office was the best person to work with as they cleared a blockage and leaks in our plumbing. She was so kind and easy to work with.
Joey, the plumber who helped us was kind and patient as he resolved our problems. He went above and beyond as he worked.
Both Tori and Joey are the kind of people you'll want to work with because they care about their customers and work to give you the best service.

Plymwr Plumbing was so great to work with. I rarely review, but my experience with them was above and beyond.
Our water heater was having an issue with the pilot light going out. The gas company came out a few times to relight it and about an hour later it went out. We notified our Home Warranty Company and they put us in contact with Plymwr Plumbing. Tori, the secretary, contacted me right away and made an appointment for next day. Joey inspected the water heater and notified my Home Warranty Company with his findings. Unfortunately the Home Warranty Company dropped the ball but Tori helped us with the process and the order of steps that each person needed to take. She worked with me to get me a new water heater in a timely manner and went above and beyond to make sure my family had hot water. I am so grateful for Tori and her professionalism. She was kind, knowledgeable, and takes care of her customers even though the phones were ringing off the hook. Joey showed up to replace the water heater and he worked hard in the cold and wind. He was so knowledgeable that I didn't realize he had just started with the company. Both Tori and Joey are big assets to this company and I would work with them again in a heartbeat.

I contacted our home warranty company because our water heater stopped working. Liker others, I immediately went to Yelp and read a few negative reviews. I've had issues with other contractors AHS has assigned so if I'm honest, I was a bit concerned. But I have to say the service was GREAT!! They scheduled the appointment within one day of requesting service and the technician, Alan, fixed our water heater in a matter of minutes!!! He explained the issue, grabbed his tools and got to work. We are so happy to have hot water again!! :)

We were referred to this company through American Home Sheild. They came out it for two problems - one a leaking shower faucet and the other a main pipe leak. They fixed the leaking faucets and actually we paid them to replace a toilet which was fine but they never fixed the pipe leak and after calling them over half a dozen times they never sent the proper work order to get this fixed so we had to switch to another provider one month later so still not fixed. They never called back and kept cancelling the appts I made with them to fix it so very dissatisfied with their service.

Home Shield set up this appointment and it has been a nightmare. They don't call you they don't show up for your scheduled appointment, you call them and NOTHING!!!. Beware

Just an update. The American hone shield assigned PLYMWR PLUMBING to immediately return to my property to fix the hazardous condition they created by using duct tape instead of a proper transition piece to vent the gas exhaust from my heater. PLYMWR PLUMBING refused to correct their shoddy work. They let their work represent their company and don't fix their lazy, incompetent mistakes when caught no
Matter the risk to you and your family. Stay away from PLYMWR PLUMBING!!!!!!!!!'n
