Michelle H.Had Bob out and he fixed my furnace by just adjusting the original part. 2 other companies had come before both saying I needed such expensive repairs that I would have to buy a new furnace. Bob was honest, patient prompt and explained the whole process. I highly recommend this company.
We recently sold our townhouse, and the buyer asked that we certify the furnace due to it's age, so we call plumbline about their 29.99 tune up special and the service tech came out and serviced the furnace, now the fun begins, my wife calls me in a panic saying we need to have the capacitor replaced and a 1/4 turn hand gas shut off valve installed, the capacitor and valve will be over 400.00$ I said wait let me talk to the service tech. and he says the capacitor is only showing 3.5 ohms and it should be around 7omhs. I said wait i'll be right home. They tried to sell me a 4.03$ capacitor which I purchased and installed myself for over four hundred dollars, and the valve I replaced myself. Please be aware of crooks that say they are honest, because most plumbing companies are wolves in sheeps clothing. do your homework don't be taken for a fool they prey on people not knowing anything about what they are selling you

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! Never use Plumbline. EVER! They lie and make everything out to be a catastrophic event when in fact it is a simple $100 repair. I was told I had a broken pipe and needed $4K in repairs to rip out concrete, repair pipe, etc. I called 2 other plumbers to come out and both disagreed and then said EXACTLY the same thing and it only needed a cleaning and there were NO broken pipes. A few weeks ago I had them come out to service my boiler before it gets cold. I was told I really needed a new boiler ($20K) but they could do some repairs to keep it running for about $4K ($4K must be the lucky number they use). Again, I called another company to come out and they said the boiler was great and it needed no additional work. I had a toilet that would not stop running--called plumbline--they wanted between $250-$400 to fix (when you can buy a toilet for far less). I had one of the plumbers (who looked at the pipe that was not really broken) take a look at the toilet and he fixed it in 2 minutes....no charge. They are horrible and only want to rip people off and scare them. I am not the only one this has happened to according to the reviews. This is how they operate. Shady business. DO NOT USE PLUMBLINE!
Amanda C.FYI: they charge $50 just for an estimate or bid. If you need a bid on both plumbing & electrical - $100 just for someone to tell you what they would charge you.
I would like to say I feel ripped off!! Marc came to fix our leaky faucet.we had already attempted and bought wrong fitting valve stems.marc was professional and tried to upsell of course at $800.we just wanted leak fixed.he said he would diagnose the problem.we already knew valve stems did not fit.he ""diagnosed"" prob to tune of $150. He did nothing .the put on correct valve stems. ""Repair"" approx $160... Yes ripped off!! Never again
My experience was definitely 5 stars. I received several phone calls to update me on the time the guy would arrive and the plumber even called to let me know he was on his way. Chauncey was my plumbers name. He was polite, respectful and explained every thing he was doing. He ended up not doing what I thought I needed and he explained why it wasn't a clog. He did not try to sale me anything more. In fact, he didn't charge me for his visit. He also gave me a coupon to use in the future. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company. I chose them from Tom Martinos trouble shooter list.
Russ H.Called at 4pm today to get a bath drain cleaned. Was told that they would be out today in the, first available slot.' It is now 9:45 and I called to see if we were going to get this done tonight. After being kept on hold for almost 10 minutes, was told that it would be TWO WEEKS before they could get someone out. Would have been nice to know that 6 hours ago when I first called. Ridiculous....
I called a week in advance to make an appointment for a tune-up for my A/C. I was canceled on the morning of due to other emergency calls after I had taken the day off from work. Apparently, if your service call is not expensive enough, you are not worth their time.
I've been trying to have a fan installed in my bathroom for over a month. So far we've had multiple no-shows, them rescheduling on me at the last minute, them sending someone out without telling us we had an appointment, and a tech not coming prepared to actually do the work (even after I called the day before to make sure they knew what needed to be done). The first tech that came could only do half the job, and then gave us a quote for the 2nd half. When someone finally showed up for part 2, the new quote was triple the original. The work they have done so far was fine, but their customer service is terrible!
Katy S.2 experiences.
First, I needed my toilet snaked, very usual problem. First tech couldn't figure it out alone, had to call his "" supervisor"". Second guy came with camera and tried to up sell me into a job costing $20,000. When I said I couldn't afford it they said they'd be happy to finance it. I bet they would. Said obviously I would get bids on a big job. They tried to scare me into buying it with horror stories of raw sewage in the basement.
Second, today my daughter needed the same simple job done. Called to schedule but they were very disorganized and promised to call back. She waited 4 hours, then called them back and once again was told they would call her. They never bothered to call back. In the meantime she called another plumber and he fixed the problem in 15 minutes.
I'll never call them again, and neither will she. Learn from our mistakes.
UPDATE !!
I had Plumbline here about 7 months ago and they told me I would need a new sewer line from the house to the alley for 20 grand. Today I had Garvin's here to roto root and he said (after using a camera down the line) that the whole thing is fine, no roots at all from the yard to the alley - a few from the yard to the house but no big deal and roots can be killed with products you get at Ace Hardware. So once again - Stay away from Plumbline.
