Tony Ponton founded Plumbing Unlimited with his parent selling plumbing supplies to homeowners. He provided hard-to-find supplies and assisted homeowners with self-service plumbing jobs, but when clients found themselves in a plumbing dilemma, they would contact Tony to come out and fix it for them. In 1998, he decided to shut down the store and revert to what he was passionate about—plumbing—full time. Today, he is mentoring a next generation, his family member John. John just earned his Journeyman certification, and is well on his way to his Master status.

Tony has resided and operated in the region for over 50 years. He graduated from Indian River High School in Chesapeake and studied at Old Dominion University for some time. He entered plumbing when he was 12 years old, assisting summers for his father's company, Coastal Plumbing.
